Thanks for your efforts to explain these nebulous concepts of dynamic flow. I don't pretend I have any solid grasp but am gaining some insights into what happens in the process. I have a gut feeling that this process with all its inherent variable changes as ice engine rpms increase through the operating parameters is what can give an engine its feeling of "life" versus the seeming digital "deadness" of an electric motor driven vehicle.

Mr.Vizard thank you for the video channel and all of your videos. I wish you all the best to continue a healthy recovery for your health. I have been glued to your articles every since the very late 1970's early 80's. I am planning a project turbocharging a chevy i6 for a streetrod and would enjoy a video on the Siamese intake port and valve angle mods for this style head. Thank you ever so much for sharing your knowledge and hard work, so that the layman May gain this knowledge.

    • @bkcrim5395

Sodium filled valves I would say are beneficial if you’re going to making extreme heat on the hot side of the turbo. Outside race and specialty applications I’d say it is a wash.

Hi David, I am in the process of rebuilding my Subaru EJ257. The lical speed shop I am using is shooting down any mods to the heads. They claim the stock heads flow poorly. They aldo feel that larger valves and pocket porting the heads are a waste of money. Do you have any experience with the Subaru turbo charged engines?

    • @DavidVizard

Dave? Funny, our IH Comanche SV big blocks, all have 45 degree valves except the 392 has a 30 degree intake, what are the sealing issues????? Im watching you trying to learn and crack the code on these heads, they come stock with the intakes ports and bowls like race heads, but the exhaust bowls are just flat out wonky !!!!! Your contact email failed, I want to mold my ports and send them to you, with out porting they fall flat at 5,000 rpm with any cam you stick in it......
