I love her so much ohmalawd
I lost my hair through radiation & emergency surgery, all side effects from my brain cancer. Between an outrageous allergic reaction to a seizure med, steroid acne, & some pretty gnarly scars on my head I was looking like I had been thrown into a shredder. Any of them, all of them, over & over.
What made me feel less like, well, crap? Make-up man. makeup. I could tame the rash & acne through foundation & concealer. cover my dark under eye circles & appear semi normal. My bare head was very raw sporting 7 stitches, & 20+ staples at any given time so I wore comfortable hats to hide the Quasimodo under my hat & keep it warm as well.
Yea I was undergoing radiation every day with chemotherapy, sleeping like crap, & processing the whole "you've got cancer" but by damn I didn't look like some typical cancer patient from some life time special.
My face was done up every day, all day. My head was properly covered by some snazzy hat (one handmaid by a best friend) & my sharp winged eye liner sent a message of "This took me time to get BOTH flicks perfect, my patients for anything else has been spent. Tread lightly."
I was stuck with cancer, but I definitely didn't need to look like I had it.

I'm so happy that you guys made this video. My friend suffers from the same thing except she was scared to shave her head like you until she saw the other video about this. Now she has shaven her head and she is planning on getting false eyelashes like you! Thank you for helping my friend overcome her fear. Thank you for taking her out of depression. 😄😍😄

Blue sparkley lipstick. My mum hates it and i get negative comments alll the time, but so what? my friends think it's cool because I like it, my bf doesn't care, and I think it's rad! I know it doesn't look 'good on me' but I love it.

Girl me too! I am not a makeup person at all. I started experimenting with lipstick because my lips don't have a lot of color to them. After I found good colors for me I looooove it!😃
ikr or eyebrow make up or a thin layer of eyeliner when you feel like crap but too lazy to put on a full face of make up lol but yea lipstick/gloss is #1 savior

i think they should have been shorter in the inner eye ans flared out ? if that makes sense haha they look nice though, haven't seen her in so long .-.
I know right, they looked like many layers of false lashes (which they are) but it's supposed to look natural.
+Richa Patranabis It's not really SUPPOSED to look natural, theres a lot of different styles ranging from natural to glamour and she probably chose the more glam look!

The whole concept of lash extension is to go big if you want a more natural look trim falsies that you can remove they are way too expensive to go small.
because they're so expensive they should flatter your eye shape. in my opinion it would have looked nicer if they were a bit smaller towards the inner eye and flared out the way they already do, just because it looks like she has random long lashes outta no where.

Try a lighter color of eyelashes to get a more natural look. The black is such a darker color that it stands out. Natural lashes are often a bit darker than hair color, but not that extreme of a difference. I used to have that color problem when I started using mascara.
It's not supposed to look natural though, it's supposed to look like she has mascara on so she doesnt have to
+Shelby Chanel The point of mascara is to make it look like lashes are naturally thick and darker. They sell it in a bunch of shades so people can match their hair color. Both of these look more natural if you use shades closer to natural hair color.

I agree I've been getting them done for 3-5 years. It's not so much the colour it's the thickness, & curl. I much rather a thinner one as it looks more natural but when matched with eye make up they still look glamorous!
They are probably the only buzzfeed couple that I love and don't easily irritate me.
In general just doing my makeup is what I do for myself. I get so excited every morning to try out new styles and colors! An ex friend of mine was so determined that I did it because I was self conscious and would always subtly shade me for wearing it, but it's so not the case. I still feel as beautiful when I take my makeup off at the end of the day as I do five minutes after applying it. I just do it because it's fun, and it puts me in a good mood to start my day!
Kerry Moan same! I love expressing myself with makeup and I see it more as a art rather then just something that will make me look better. People always say “why do you wear so much makeup” “who are you trying to impress” “your so fake” like what? Some people draw, some paint, I wear makeup. It’s fun and I do it for me and nobody else and it’s so annoying when people think otherwise

AJ'sCurls Not really. I used to use black a lot, but anymore it's whatever goes with my mood. Nude if I'm more lazy and not caring, bold if I want to really focus on my face.
Whenever I put eyeliner on, I feel like I feel freaking amazing. Not a lot of people love it because I'm only 13, but I still love it. I only wear a teeny tiny thin line at school and I still get hate, but I feel hot af like the basics could never with those edges

Lol I usually buy lipsticks and melt/mix two colors. It's a good way to get your own original color.

I love and do my eyelashes. i do individual eyelashes because i have pretty much none bc i have had a bad habbit of pulling them out for years. and with these lashes i feel so confident

+Terci Lang is that what its called? I never knew that. I've been have that habit since I was 11 and I'm 18 now. I pull out any loose eyelashes in the morning when I wash my face and unconsciously pull any course and thick hair from my head, I am aware that thick hair is healthy but I still do it, I think it's because I stress myself so easily.

I shave my eyebrows off and do them every single morning. I love it cause they never end up looking the same as they did yesterday and I get to play with them in all sorts of shapes and sizes and colors. Everyone around me makes fun of me for it but I love it!
I would do this but I don't have the time in the morning to draw them on. Also here in England it's always raining so cycling a few miles to school wouldn't end too well. I can't get eyeliner symmetrical let alone a whole set of brows but sometimes I put this SPX dough type thing over my eyebrows and blend it into my skin and make me have different brows for the lolz

I've been doing the same thing since I was 13 :) it's only been 4 months but I've gotten good at it and I love experimenting with the colors. Over the summer I had blue and green hair so I usually did blue eyebrows (it was great) but now I do black to match my hair :)

Makeup. I love makeup, and a lot of people say it's weird that I wear it (it is I'm in middle school lol) or that I don't need it, but the truth is I know those things. I don't wear it to impress other people, and I know I look good without it, but im not wearing it because I think I need it but because I want it. It's something I do completely and solely for myself.

They kinda look way to dark to be natural, but y'know everyone has there own personal thing they like.
I do Eyelash Extensions and most of the clients wants lashes looking like they were coated with mascara or looking like fake eyelashes which they apply when doing makeup, so they want thick & black. But if they want kind of natural look I apply thin black for brunettes and deep brown for blondes, so it can look natural, but mainly they're supposed to substitute eye makeup :)
+Jadie I agree, I think it would look better more natural, but she's obviously doing it for herself and she looks stunning with those bold eyelashes. I feel inspired to get them done myself, but I would go for a more natural look. Nothing wrong with being different.

I don't really do anything for myself, I'm a single mom to 2 kids and getting no help, so I can't afford to have anything special done, but I guess a good hair day would be my little awesome moment that makes me feel beautiful! And I usually just wear mascara to work, because I work in a bakery and the heat would just melt everything else, so on the days when my eyelashes turn out really good I feel so pretty! ***P.S. I think you look so beautiful and amazing without the wigs, and they honestly seem uncomfortable, You could totally rock the bald look! Your face looks so fierce!
I agree! She doesn't need the wig! Very few women can pull off having very short/no hair but her face is so pretty that it looks great.
I've had my lash extensions on for about five months now and it costs me 60 euros every month and my friends and family make fun of me for spending that money on eyelashes but I don't care I absolutely love having beautiful lashes and they make my mornings so much easier! Honestly they make me feel so nice every single day and I would recommend them to everyone! :)

I love that for a while, I (and probably many others) didn't even know that Becky had no hair and wore wigs. Then there was that video where the came out about it and showed her journey through it. And now, she's just so casual showing her real head and everybody accepts it and I just find that so wonderful. Good for her!

Hands down, I loved the purpose of this video! I absolutely do many many things, in fact my entire makeup and beauty related stuff for myself. Occasionally I will try to flaunt colors if my bf asks me to. But other than that, I love making myself feel good
I have alopecia areata as well and watching videos about you thriving with having it, it makes me feel so much more comfortable and less alone with dealing with what we are both going through. Love this! Please keep spreading information about this immune disorder, love your videos!

i just got my first set of lashes done today. i’ve been wanting them for a while, and when my cousin took the course and told me she wanted to practice, i saw my chance!! i love them - and even though she’s just starting and i know they’re not professional level, i’d 100% go back because it’s admirable how much time they spend solely focused on you.

may i just say, i find this woman so beautiful. i understand that being bald wasnt her choice entirely. just here to say, that ba(/o)ld is beautiful. i looooved the feeling getting under the shower and feel the water on my scalp and also... in the morning i only had to dry my head with a towel and was good to go!! :))
what i like to do to feel good about myself and get very minimal positive responses about is having locs. my loc-journey is freeing with each inch they grow. it‘s okay that ppl misunderstand why i do it. it wont change my mind. feels good to trust yourself and do what makes YOU happy.

This is actually how I feel about getting my head shaved. Makes me feel pretty, makes my life easier, cuts a huge chunk of time out of my beauty routine and I feel like I'm getting pampered once a month when I go to my favourite barbers! :D (Hairdressers are too expensive and tend to be judgy in my experience)

i love this video! It's so positive and interesting and now I wanna try those professional eyelash extensions, too.. My #1 beauty thing I love is running (and working out in general) because I feel so empowered and GOOD about me & my body afterwards (corny, I know). If that doesn't count (it's not an actual "beauty thing") - I LOVE liquid lipsticks and I wear them every day wherever I go. Even putting lipstick on is so much fun! Anyone out there feeling the same?
