Yep, Taiwan, Japan, and Singapore are my favorite countries to visit in Asia. The cultural experience is beyond words, and, of course, the foods are fantastic too. 😅 You guys are like the Rick Steves of Asia!!! 👍👍👍
This is the best video I've seen about traveling in Taiwan. It's truly an excellent guide for anyone thinking about visiting Taiwan, with great depth and breadth. Well done! I watched it from beginning to end.
This is the video I've been waiting for. I was in Taiwan just before Covid hit and have been wanting to go back for a deeper dive into this absolute treasure of a country. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Wow~It’s an epic!🎉❤🎊 I am a Taiwanese. I live in New Taipei City . I followed your every video when you are in Taiwan. Love you two and welcome back to Taiwan anytime. There still a lot to explore!❤❤❤
Wow, after so long we get a new video about Taiwan😍Miss you lovely couple, glad to know you love Taiwan a lot. I really love your cute, detailed, fun and informative videos on Taiwan too!
As a native Taiwanese, thank you creating this video about parts of Taiwan that I never get to explored especially in the southern part of the island. Love your adventures spirits and it was certainly fun to watch the interactions between you and Bill. Will definitely follow your itinerary when I am there. Thank you ❤
Thank you for introducing Taiwan in such detail. The video is really suitable for everyone who is visiting Taiwan for the first time to watch. I hope you have a wonderful journey and memories in Taiwan.
This is an amazing supercut of your Taiwan visit. You spent a bit of time there and did so much. You deserve a sponsorship from the Taiwan Travel Board or complimentary flights from EVA Air. 😄
The bento boxes are special cuz they’re made of wood. The bento box gets some of the wood fragrance. That’s one of uniqueness of Taiwan train bento boxes.
Amazing travel guide! I like this long format - watched it like a full travel documentary before my upcoming trip to Taiwan in Dec (only 14 days though!). Great work!
Y’all are so cute! It was so fun to watch you guys film in my neck of the woods in Taichung. When you come back, definitely go to the west district! Tons of cool restaurants and shops.
You guys are super cute❤ Thank you for showing what you liked about Taiwan 🇹🇼 Thanks for the beautiful shooting of the train in Alishan, which I've rode with my late father 50 years ago. It brought back the nostalgic moment. Very nice background music 🎶 of your selections. ❤
The squirrel like animal at the Memorial is called Sugar Glider-they are from Australia, they are nocturnal, not an ideal pets. My daughter has 2, they sleep all day but active at night. Love your high quality video. I’m planning to visit Taiwan in January, so your video is very helpful❤
Congratulations you’ve made the first 3-hour long travel video I have ever watched in my life. I watched the whole thing every minute of it, and I’m in Taiwan 😂. That means your video is very fun to watch!
你們太厲害!5週耶~ This is incredible! This is by far the most complete, thoughtful and thorough compilation of Taiwan traveling I've seen so far! Grateful for your hard work! It's so wonderful!
So happy that you like Taiwan as I do! :) The dumpling thing you ate in Taichung called "肉圓", it means "meat ball". It's a very general street food all around Taiwan, but interesting thing is, how you cook it is quite different according to where it locate. South Taiwan always steam it, where at north we'll fry it (which is way more better than steam!! believe me!!!). And about the decoration inside the Dragon and Tiger Tower, is a lot of traditional story that we used to told to children. Most of them are good story, but others are describe what people have to face in hell if they do not behave themself well (those weird decoration that you point out). Welcome to Asia, and specially welcome to Taiwan! Really love the vibe you create in this video. Looking forward to more travel you done in the future~
You guys are amazing. Love your videos and how you enjoyed your adventures in Taiwan. I’m from Taipei but left Taiwan and have lived on the island of Guam and U.S. for 25 years. Watching your videos makes me homesick. 😢 Glad to see how much you’ve tried the Taiwanese foods. 😊
I had no idea Teapot mountain is so difficult to hike. I first heard of it from UA-cam “Lukas in Taiwan” video. And he went back to climb several times so I thought it was just an easy hike. You are so brave!
You had my favorite food Taiwanese meatball -肉圓 "Taiwanese meatball, or 'ba-wan,' is a popular Taiwanese street food. It's a large, chewy dumpling made from a mixture of rice flour and sweet potato starch, which gives it a translucent and slightly sticky texture. The filling usually consists of pork, bamboo shoots, and shiitake mushrooms, seasoned with soy sauce and other spices. The dumplings are typically steamed or fried and then served with a sweet and savory sauce made from soy sauce, sugar, and garlic. It's a unique and delicious snack that offers a taste of Taiwan's rich culinary heritage." The kind you had was a steamed one so it doesn’t have bamboo shoots inside. Being a Taiwanese living overseas, this Taiwanese meatball is my must-have food when I go back but it’s not easy to find in Taipei nowadays, especially the steam ones. Even if there’s one, they are usually not as good comparing the ones you can find in Taichung or Tainan.
What you had in Taichung called 肉圓 Meatballs (English: Bahwan; Taiwanese: Bah-oân) are a specialty street snack in Taiwan. It is said that Beidou Town, Changhua County is the birthplace of meatballs and was born around the end of the 19th century.
The unknown meat dumpling that you guys ate in Taichung is 肉圓 which is minced pork ball in a rice and yam dough, served with sauce and topping. The unique fresh air that you smelled in Alishan is what we call "Forest Bathing " 森林浴❤❤ It's super therapeutic for the health
57:17 that was famous monkey brain you just ate… jk it’s meatball wrap with rice dough… something like that. Good stuff, I wish I could eat that every day. Great video, kinda envy you guys now.
When’s the best time to go there & how long you were there? Did you have to make arrangements with a tour company to visit all these cities? Did you stay in hotels? Approximately around how much per person to Vidal those places? Sorry with all the questions, visiting Taiwan is on my bucket list & we would love to go there to see 1/2 of places you visited, thanks!
3 hours, wow! 58:43 in Taiwanese: bah-uân translated in English literally: Meat Ball Just a light snack, for if you don't need a meal but feeling peckish.
I really wanted to watch this but UA-cam ads every 2 minutes is just too painful. Thanks guys for the episode, I enjoyed what I saw of it. P.S. And yes, I have an ad blocker that doesn't work anymore. Looks like UA-cam is somehow blocking it.
