===== Episode 5 was all animated or at least 89% done after stepping back and looking at the entire 50 mins of the episode with clear minds. We decided to change a lot of it, the episode had a lot of fat that slowed the episode down to what we REALLY wanted to say/show... So I'm sorry to deliver this news but you will have to wait a little long :( I thought I could've gotten the episode out by September but it doesn't look like it.

PERFECTLY shows the mental state of the Hero of Time, after OOT and MM, and the regrets he would later have in Twilight Princess. I've been following this series, and I'm in love. I'm excited to see the next episode :)
Manga version of TP Link has similar laments.
This IS the best Zelda animation series ever on UA-cam! The questioning done in this new episode is so intriguing! Can't wait for it to be released!

Finally! Someone who understand the curse place on both Link and Ganondorf: two chosen ones, destined to fight each other but none of them choses those fates!
These two have more in common than most think, I feel. Both are destined to fight the other, but what others don't realize, or even think about, is that they didn't want this
I wholeheartedly feel this, I was legit pacing in my parlour yelling during the last episode going “THIS! THIIIIIS!”
This only became canon since Ocarina. Before that Ganon was just a thief (like the rest of the Gerudu) and not fated to be evil. Imagine if Ganon returned and used the Triforce of Power for some other purpose and not evil. It would be interesting.
Well theres a reason for this, at the VERY end of skywords sword, demise causes a never ending curse, demise will always be reancarnated as gannon, link will be reancarnated to link, let me post his curse so u dont need to look it up
“Extraordinary. You stand as a paragon of your kind, human. You fight like no man or demon I have ever known. Though this is not the end. My hate...never perishes. It is born anew in a cycle with no end! I will rise again! Those like you... Those who share the blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero... They are eternally bound to this curse. An incarnation of my hatred shall ever follow your kind, dooming them to wander a blood-soaked sea of darkness for all time!”
Link and Ganon, two sides of the same coin, desperate to escape their fate. I love it.
This episode is gonna be well worth the wait, this is just a delightful appetizer for what's to come

Yes, I also like it when Ganondorf is played for sympathy in a story, it shows that despite how despicable his actions are, he was a man who was forced into the role he was in, in more ways than one and possibly deep down never actually wanted the life he has but he knows he cannot fight fate so he has no choice but to be the monster that people make him out to be
I really enjoy how you wrote Ganondorf. He’s sympathetic, ambition and desire for his people overpowering any guilt, but still evil. On one hand, he’s dangerous and malicious, but you can’t help but pity the guy.
Still, I think a “Ganondorf redemption” story is too much. After all, in some timelines, he gives into the evil with Ganon, sacrificing any humanity.
Yeah if Ganondorf gets redeemed ever it will kinda ruin his character in this regard, I think it’s best to have Ganondorf as a character who has done terrible things but has a sympathetic side and despite his true feelings, he can never find peace or redemption since he has no choice, it would make him more sympathetic while also staying true to his character.
I wonder just how many of these will be made. It's a great story that I'm bummed Nintendo hasn't touched on.

Now that was an interesting concept...that Link and Ganon are both "chosen ones", destined to save their people in times of need. In this way, they are basically 2 sides of the same coin, similar to Luz and Belos, from The Owl House.
I can't believe I've been a fan of Zelda for so long and never considered that parallel between the two of them. Great job, man! Can't wait for the next episode!

I think I'm checking at LEAST twice a day to make sure the next Hero's Purpose hasn't come out without me knowing about it lol. This stuff is the best Zelda content on UA-cam!! ^ ^

What I love about that interpretation of both Link and Ganondorf is the idea that neither of them wanted to be who they are.
Link is cursed to be the only person between the people of Hyrule and constant Eldricht abominations.
Ganondorf is cursed to be killed, again and again, in an eternal cycle of death and suffering.
No one in their right mind would ever want either fate.
One could even argue that Ganondorf deep down never wanted to be the man he is but he knows he has no choice so he might as well play the role he was given.

That, and with every incarnation, Ganondorf loses a part of his sanity until only the malice and hatred of Demise remains.
Yeah I hope the botw sequel involves this idea somehow or does something with it, would be really nice to see imo.

This series is the best serious Zelda SFM series on UA-cam hands down. I’ve always wanted a quality legend of Zelda animated show growing up and Nintendo was too afraid to do it. I always wanted to explore what happened to the Hero of time after Majora’s mask, and learn how he felt about everything he had gone through. This is all of what I wanted and more, so thank you, thank you so much for this fantastic contribution to the Zelda community. You should feel proud of what you’ve created and the happiness it’s brought to others and myself! Again, thank you MajorLink for making this amazing project a reality!

Yes! Touching on the fact that Link and Ganon are so much more similar than a lot of people realize! The weight and struggle of being born to a destiny that you have no control over. I can’t wait for this episode! This series has me so captivated. It is truly amazing, in both story telling and animation.
Time to rewatch the first four episodes so that I’m refreshed on everything before this one drops!

i rewatched all the episodes 3 times after discovering it just a few days ago they have left me speechless at how good they are! 100% worth the wait take ur time.
In the shot of Link swinging his sword for ganondorfs head, you can clearly see that ganons sword isnt drawn. Interesting.... perhaps he doesnt come to kill Link? Or maybe Link is just too fast? The look in his eye before he is struck, (when he closes his eyes) he doesnt even look surprised. Maybe he's concentrating to use his magic?
Whatever happens... yall know this is gonna be a masterpiece. Amazing job MajorLink! The animation quality, the music, the story, the use of og sound effects and text bubbles, its all outstanding!! You and your team have done an amazing job. Thank you!!

I think this was just made for the teaser, to illustrate Ganon's POV on the curse. In the post creds of ep4 it was heavily implied that he struck Link and that's how he lost his eye in preparation to become the Shade

I wish Nintendo officially made this all canon. This series has me all choked up haha I'm a 29 year old man tearing up over a Zelda cartoon and I never understood why people would tear up over film before but it's brought me so much joy and nostalgia and showing me everything I've been wanting in The Hero of Time's story. Thank the team for making this it's incredible and much better than most things to watch on streaming services. A masterpiece and my new favorite series .

I opened up the UA-cam app on my phone, and the first thing that popped up was one of your videos. I got very excited for a moment as I thought that episode 5 was here alas! However, it was one of your Twilight Princess animations from 5yrs ago showing up in my recommended instead. I was a little bummed, but then noticed this teaser posted, and I honestly have to say I am more excited for episode 5 now than I was before. Am I getting a little impatient? Yes. I think we all are. But this community also understands how long these kinds of projects take when you’re a small production without endless resources. Can’t wait for it to drop though!
When are you going to upload it? I'm so excited to watch it!

Woooo! I love the idea that Ganondorf is just as burdened as Link is by the curse. He didn’t choose to be the champion of Demise, nor did the Gerudo tribe choose to be the race to bear that reincarnation. Obviously Zelda knows what she’ll get each reincarnation because she’s always born into the royal family, but Link and Ganondorf or more kinda thrown in at random.

Demise did the three chosen dirty when he made that curse. Love to see the results of that be more nuanced than BBEG is evil. Really puts Wind Waker Ganondorf in a new light.

Yeah, I also like it when Ganondorf’s character is explored, especially when it portrays him as either a sympathetic warlord who never actually wanted to be the tyrant he is, or a man who despite his cruelty does have some sense of honor and integrity.
This already looks great, I'm a bit bummed that I know this series is about end, but this has been amazing adventure.
I love this so much! The parallels between the two were teased wonderfully and I like how this played out. It’s interesting that the lights between the two are varying in their luminosity.
I really feel bad for both of them that they both had to face the “chosen one” fates. I don’t really play the Zelda games, I’ve always just been allured by the stories with them (both official and fan), but I think this gives a beautiful and very deeper meaning to the fates between Link and Ganondorf in the triangle of fates the two of them are a part of.
It’s okay that you took a step back to look at your work, and decide that there were parts you wanted to improve. Sure, it means a longer wait, but this teaser brings up even more hype for the great things you’re going to do. You’re also a busy person, who has your own life outside of these animations. Remember it’s okay to take a breather, take a break. You’re doing great work. I’m excited to also see what your film will end up being, and I hope all goes well for you

MajorLink, your animations are so amazing and beautiful, those makes me cry so much and even when I entered into The Legend of Zelda since I played Breath of the Wild 4 years ago, those masterpieces (including this series) made me love this franchise so much more.

I just hope we get to see the Hero of Time/Termina slay the demon king from this part of the timeline. It's time for this guy to get a break and for him and Zelda to settle down. The characters from the child timeline have been through so much and for once I want to see them happy.

Got a tattoo of the triforce on my hand thats how much legend of zelda influenced me and this version of the hero will always be, in my eyes, the best of all the incarnations of link.

I think I've said it before in a post on one of your other videos but in my experience in writing stories, the end product is often much different from the original outline. My latest work as of this comment was originally a short story which morphed into a single novel which morphed again into a two part series. SO much changed and though initially I fought against it, I found that if I just let things flow that the end result was something I came to love. Much of the change came after I 'stepped back' after a short break and rereading what I had written and coming to the realization you had. It makes me so excited to hear you did that and I feel the story we eventually will get will speak to our hearts more because you took the time to REALLY make sure it is what you WANT our hearts to hear. Keep it up!
