Harry Kane is trophy less because he dissappears when needed the most.
So does haaland. Haaland ghosted in 2 fa cup finals and a champions league final, why don’t you give him any stick. He statpadded hat-tricks against Sheffield United and Luton and he got carried by Rodri gundogan and de bruyne.
What I don’t get about Kane is that he knew he wasn’t fit for the CL final, so why not (for the good of the team) tell the manager to bring him on in the second half? Same with the Spain game, both games were eerily similar in regards to his performances. It looked like he was stuck in the mud and although the managers are to blame surely Kane could have done the right thing?
Imagine a player, who has been cleared by the physio and has been picked by the manager, decides not to play. Says he doesn't want to. They would be slaughtered, way more than if they just played poorly

I’m a Liverpool fan and I remember being so confused when Spurs dropped an in-form Lucas (who beat Ajax in the semis) for an unfit Kane. Being a great means you put the team ahead of yourself. I find it odd a captain with no experience of winning trophies, was expected to do it for England. Remember when England had Gerrard, Terry, Campbell, Neville… all captain material with actual trophies.
It's on the manager to recognise these things in training and be brave enough and determined enought to make the call.
If the manager is going to behave like he can't possibly play the game without you, as a player what are you to do?
