My dad still has his, he's the og owner of it, garaged the truck mostly but would maintenance it every year. Hopefully once I get my license I will be able to drive it as a daily🙏

So true about the clear peeling of off them at this age. I have an original SS Silverado in crystal black, built in '03. Gorgeous machine, astounding performance even in this modern age of 10 speed gearboxes and factory turbos.
I'm slowly restoring her to perfect as when I picked it up she needed brakes, brake lines, u joints, and common wear out parts to include a fan clutch, emission solenoids and replaced the in tank sending unit with updated factory harness. Only work I need to do now is purely cosmetic.
Fix the peel. Fix the dings. Fix the one tiny rock chip on rear driver's fender well just above the tire. After that I'll tackle repairing the wheels and removing curb rash from previous owner's mistakes. ^.^
My gf dad just gave her his. She was considering selling it but I encouraged her not to sale it. It is a 2003 w/120k miles and only needed a rear end. I knew this truck was a keeper.

I had a 2003 Victory Red and it was my best truck I ever owned. Did not see this when it came out so I am sure it is gone but WOW.
So lucky. I love the truck and have been looking for one for months.
Purchased my 03 SS new, has 20,000 miles, constantly get walk up offers on street between 20-25 thousand. Today’s truck prices is why I don’t sell.

A friend of mine was selling me his 2004 Chevy Silverado SS for $5K. It was also red with only 110K Miles. Everything was stock in good condition. I regret not buying it because these are selling for as much as 20K now even with 140K Miles!. Could of made a good profit or just kept for a while. Completely regret it but then again I didnt have the money at the time but once I got my tax return I hit him up but I was a few days too late because his brother bought it off of him

I don't know what mileage the truck has but it appears to even have the original tail lights! A year or two into the cat eye body, they outlined their tail lights with black instead of solid red.
xforce687 it has a decent amount of miles but you can tell how clean it was and by the pages and pages of documents! I appreciate that comment!

The SS Silverado is beautiful awd 6.0 with almost 400hp however, I personally dislike that they had to do the rear seats or in other words make it an ext cab.

Honestly as long as you get one without rust and if the front diff has had the bearings replaced if it's an awd ss then mileage isnt much of a concern. Dead reliable trucks. They just have some of the typical problems of gmt 800 pickups like the gauge cluster stepper motors not working and the black on the buttons flaking off.
