@@Bus.Chronicles Imma use this series for reference if I end up persuing one of Nassau Inter County Expresses orion 7 ng cngs lol, subscription earned.
As a kid in Chicago, I was a big fan of 1959 Flxible Twin Coach, although I couldn't see out the side windows. Later in 1980, I spent the summer as vacation relief operator for the CTA and got to experience GMC Fishbowls, the AMC/MAN? articulated, and some old Flxible new look. It was a fun summer for sure. Wish you lived in Western NC cause I would love to just help out. Thanks for taking us along the journey.
I am sooo happy you bought and restored this coach! I have been an SCRTD fan/nut, since I was a kid. I would love to find one of these LA RTD/MTA Flxibles and have the means to restore it. I would definitely re-painted to the original RTD livery. I would then have the destination sign re-loaded (if needed) with all the destinations and then drive my bus following the route of the corresponding Line number while "Not In Service," lol. This is my most favorite coach, along with the old 1960s Flxible New Look Series, GMC Fishbowls, AM General, RTS "Twinkie", and the Neoplan Double Decker.
The Flxible Metro is my favorite bus of all time! She goes really fast and is sharp as heck! All she needs is a Harley Davidson motorcycle parked beside her!😎🏍🛫
Good to know yours was fairly quick... Over at TANK (Transit authority of northern Kentucky) all the drivers kept bitching on how they don't got enough power
I remember those Flxible Metros, well I love to see them back but this time it will have a Japanese trademark, as I might be called the Toyota 870 or Toyota Metro, probably if Toyota opens a factory in Ohio or reopen the Flxible factory then you see this busses be more common on the streets of New York but instead of saying Grumman or Flxible it says Toyota.

There was a start-up in the middle of this video.
A classic bus 🚌.
I luv your bus, how much does it take too full up?
What is the maintence like?
Don't know, I've never fueled from empty because I don't let it get below a half tank.
