Ole Perkins 4.236 Rebuilding a diesel engine on-site

A customer reach out inquiring about a rebuild on a old forklift engine. We sourced the parts for him to purchase. The Monday after the parts arrived we began work. please enjoy!

That piece of equipment is really a linchpin in our business. We've got a big contract coming up and without that old Perkins we have no way to move containers on our six acre facility. As soon as they rebuilt it it ran like a new machine. We used to call it old smokey now we call it smokeless!
Parker and Christian are super talented they work their ass off to get it done.

I may have to do a rebuild on mine also, my truck has a Q20B with a turbo engine (same as 4236). has a bit of blow-by... or the crank seals are just worn ... not sure

@esbrasill if it has a lot of blowby that is coming from the valve cover I'd check valve guide oil seals and cylinder round/taper. This forklift has 26,000 hours on it and it was it's second engine rebuild, they are great workhorses.
