I know we make a living off of telling people if you build it, then they'll come. The sad part is that we don't spend enough time discovering who THEY are, yet alone knowing who we are when we're building. What are you building in the first place. There's alot more context in the interview itself. Link posted below. But the overall premise is the same narrative that's been promoted that eventually, the views will come. While I agree with the methodology of working hard, creating engaging videos & knowing the right time for the best topics, I do think the ideology we have is dangerous and creates a ponzi scheme for us to thrive off the hopes and dreams of creators who realistically...may not get "THERE."
