I just watched his fight with Olivares earlier today, and even though he was violently stopped in the 5th, and was hurt multiple times, I could see how skilled he was even at that point. He had Ruben missing so much, and his movement was great. Unfortunately Ruben was a puncher and, at least in that fight, was setting a fast ass pace, missing quite a lot, but everything that did land seemed to affect Lionel. But, I agree, he must've been special
Back in those years a three knock down during the length of the fight was enough to declare technical knockout by the referee these days it is changed to only same round falls
