Just watched it. Amazing. It's like Terminator 2 when it came out. Best sequel ever. The only reference to the original movie was the antiquated Dorothy. This is a must see on the big screen 👌
That and the motif of the boyfriend telling Kate that everything is going to be okay which echoes the scene in the original where Paxton is telling Melissa the same thing at the drive-in.
Great Movie! I like that it have consequences and kept obvious plot armour to the minimum. that made the danger of the weather condition feel more real. I’m also totally man crushing on the cowboy lead.

I just saw it in theater and really enjoyed it. I’d consider it a spiritual reimagining of the original movie that had a lot of “nods” to the original while still feeling like it was its own story.
For what I expected, it was a great movie.
It felt like it was an older movie, which is high praise for me.
My only complaint would be some unrealistic scenes with tornados and
And Glenn’s character following her to her house, seems like there was a missing scene. He just suddenly is there.
I think I’ll watch it again and see if I missed something.

Weird how the tornado can blow tons of metal pieces around but the actors don't get blown away as it flies past them, and one person can hold another person who is literally flapping in the wind by someone who is just laying down unaffected. Why was the cinema showing an old 50's black and white movie? who does that? ever seen curtains in strong wind? the cinema curtains barely waved in the wind as the entire screen was blown away. Getting in the empty pool puts you in more danger as the air flow created intensifies in condensed areas, that's how vacuum cleaners work! they would have been sucked out in an instant. I could go on.. my eyes rolled through at least two thirds of this film. I'd like to know what created the fog effect on her old school project? She hadn't been there in years, so whatever she implemented under her model ( a fog machine?) would have had ineffective fog fluid in it after all that time and wouldn't work properly. Also, why would a self serving youtuber who gains all his attention from clicks suddenly abandon filming all the shenanigans he was experiencing? He sees the largest tornado in history.... but, he never tries to film it? nah I aint buying it.
Dude did you even google "how to escape a tornado" : a last resort, is lying flat in a ditch, sounds awfully similar to an empty pool.

Saw it yesterday and the OG film is my favorite movie of all time. I’ve seen the OG probably hundreds of times. This new one is missing the magic the first had.
I’d watch it again if it were on TV but I wouldn’t buy it or pay to see it again. It wasn’t as terrible as I feared it would be… but I didn’t love it.
It will appeal to those that weren't around or old enough to remember the original. If you like action with hyped up CGI and sci-fi crap you'll love this movie.
How cringe would you say the movie was? From 1 to 10.. i'm going to the cinema today and watch it with my boyfriend! Good review guys 👏🏼

TWISTERS was so UN-realistic. 😢 The lead male is supposedly a rising UA-cam star ... but hardly any cell phones are to be seen in the hands of the townspeople or other cast members. The citizens of Oklahoma are shown watching or participating in outdoor entertainments (rodeo, baseball and street festivals) blissfully UNAWARE that major storms are brewing. BELIEVE me when I say that in Oklahoma, the tornado sirens in the cities would be going off. People would not be caught off guard. The people in the age of UA-cam would have cell phones out and they'd be tracking the storms. Also, cell phones would be going off with thunderstorm warnings. ⚠️ The small teams of tornado chasers would not need to warm citizens. Not impressed with the script writing.
I could already tell by watching the trailer I don't have any interest in seeing it. We can't seem to ever have a natural weather related movie that isn't over the top with CGI and turned sci-fi plots. Obviously the original had CGI as well but at least they tried to make it as natural as possible. This is way too over the top and does not peak my interest.

I actually walked out half way through - just didn’t have the heart and charm of the original - regardless of how realistic it was

I think great film still like first film
This movie was just awful. The first half tryst to mirror the original a lot and is ok. But then they just drop everything the movie has going on and we get nothing but a terrible romance story.

I adore the first movie and LOVED the sequel. It was exactly what I wanted in a sequel to Twister, keep the formula and they did!
