- 9am look for top% gainer nyse, Nasdaq, maybe otc. Usually he doesn’t scan for otc because volume is super low.
- Looking for very high volatile premarket action. Scan: Volume 100k+; 20%+, then he looks at float, market cap
- Bounce short, gap up short, first red day, overextended gap down are mostly designed for small cap, some mid cap but not large cap.
- Sometimes dipbuy works great in large caps.
- If you’re going long, recommend trading market caps over 500m. you’re looking for large panic 30-50% into large caps. Chance of them bouncing is 80%+
- Small caps are only for intraday trading. Not for long term, as most just reverse split, warrants/ offerings, repeat.

Would you suggest anything for those under 21 who have to wait usually 2 days for trades to settle? Day trading is likely impossible with this so I need some assistance

I am a bit confused, you don't scan for top losers because they won't spike back cause people are scared but you do recommend buying them because they do spike back? those are different market cap stocks you are referring to? so run a scan on the large cap stocks for top losers?

I daytrade crude oil, there is large movements during the day all the time, very volatile, so doesn't require such search routine

What do you mean it only scans after market. I always use thinkorswim to scan for stocks. Am I doing something wrong?
You may want to check out Jay at eatsleepprofit youtube for his how I scan premarket. He uses think or swim.

Steven dux, does he take really 1000 or 10 000 samples to track properly a pattern? That seem to be a lot and it will take a year to earn all those data, do you have a tip to earn the data faster?
its a lot and i track then intraday. took a lot of time i suggest do some research on collecting data. there is gotta be somebody sells it

Read and learn about “volume price analysis”, thats the whole game. Google and u will find many good books on it. Anna couling has written a few books.
I don't know why thinkorswim doesn't have pre-market movers as one of their preset scans. What do other people here like to use best as their source to scan for pre-market movers?
It does, create a scanner and use the study AfterHours_Percent_Change under Price Performance. Then to look at the percentages on the side, customize and add Mark % Change as a column. When the market opens it usually breaks for me so i switch to my regular percent gainer scanner but it works for premarket.
