Thats awesome! I guess it really came down to a tuner familiar with fuel tech, not that it couldnt be done. But thats great to know! From what ive seen and understood the emtron is every bit as capable as a motec, and is very compatible with subarus... so we will see just how good it is :)
@@needshift I custom ordered mine so it took extra time, but get ahold of Dominic Acia at getadomtune. He’s a dealer and emtron is actually really quick 2-3 weeks! Shop.getadomtune.com and buy his ultimate bundle which comes with the boomslang and ecu. Highly recommend the 4 bar tmap sensor and do the emap kit as well unless you wanna go the aem backpressure sensor route like I did.
Same level as Motec. The biggest difference is with Motec you have to purchase a firmware package for your application which can go from $800 to over $1k or use Motec's standard packages which are very basic. Emtron you have everything available by default and then some new vehicles there are Application Builds which is $255 for the STi that essentially is all the OEM CAN integration which has been R&D and proven in-house at Emtron Australia.
@@AlexComeau I had to purchase the application build! But he’s right. It’s motec level but about half the price all said and done! I don’t think there’s a single limit to the Emtron and it’s capabilities!
Most of the emissions things like air pump, tgv’s, etc actually have little to no effect on horsepower. IAG has actually come out with a new stock style tgv housing for those to revert back. Going to a standalone doesn’t necessarily effect emissions as much as it allows for more tunability for those that don’t have said emissions devices anymore, or in a race car type situation like mine. In the end you won’t regret going to a standalone tho!
I just discovered your channel, i want go with similar setup but i have to go with the motec cuz it's well supported in meddle east, looking forward to learn from u
Hell yeah brother! If I could afford a motec m150 and could get my hands on one, I’d be running it too! Emtron is about as good as I can do, but I’m confident that it’s just as good as motec for my application as well! Super glad you found my channel, hopefully as the build and my program progresses I get to hear all about yours too! Much love fam! 🤙🏽
Glad you're stoked dude!
Thanks dude! Can’t wait for you to work you magic on the keyboard with this thing!
I am loving that more people are putting Emtron ecu's in their cars. I have an Emtron KV8 in my Evo 8.
They are quite powerful and surprisingly affordable for what you get! Cheers to team EMTRON!
2:42 1200hp but nothing crazy 😂
🤣🤣🫶🏼🫶🏼
Hell yeah dude!
Yes yes yes bud
Here in Oregon we have a few Subarus on fuel tech:)
But I’m excited to see how this works out I’m definitely needing a standalone

@@BigSkyBoosted yeah most definitely I need one for my sti but i dont know what the wait time is and how much it is

Got my eyes on Emtron stand alone, wondering how much itll be with the plug and play harness and installation cost...motec is very pricey
There’s a link in my video to Dom’s website that includes everything and has the pricing! Check it out. Let him know I sent you!
Cool. I hadn't heard of Emtron until today. Similar to Motec?
Similar in capabilities as well as compatibility, but about half the price! I will update as we start making power on it!

Looking to do this to my subie because of green speed..I've heard you can still pass emissions and I've heard you can't.. any insight on this?

@@BigSkyBoosted thanks for the reply! I guess my main question is about passing emissions. My car is too far down the rabbit hole to go back.
