You're pretty much committed to this gambit from the second move Nf3. Lichess database shows this attempted 1.7 million times, and 34k players getting as far as Bg6+. so be prepared for this to fail a lot if you attempt it. Cool if it works, but not very likely.
I always wondered what this trap was called ,I play it a lot and studied it with stockfish. I have about a 30% success at a 1700 level .stockfish says if bishop comes out to protect the pawn after knight hops up ; the correct response is push pawn up 2 to kick the bishop back and then develop with your bishop to keep attacking the pawn . The player should actually bring out his other horse and continue on .iether way this the entire board will be wide open if playing this trap making for a very tactical game for both players
Son: dad, why is my sister called Morra? Dad: because she's names after your mother's favourite gambit. Son: That makes sense, thx dad! Dad: no problem, Intercontinental Ballistic Missile :)
This is known as tennison Gambit. Instead of h6 Nc6 should be played by black. H6 is a blunder. Another option is if they play e6, in that case they will have a RT-2PM2 Topol-M cold-launched three-stage solid-propellant silo-based intercontinental ballistic missile of their own ready to strike with Bb6+
also if you start with the knight out first there is a higher likely chance they play the d4 move and then you can play e4 getting the same position since the scandinavian is not that common
If you also want to continue with a living queen, just take the c7 pawn after taking the queen, thats it. "Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds."
I've managed to play this twice in a game however in the first game I got it both sacrifices were brilliant but in the second game only the knight was a brilliant move
For White, this is a trap inside of the Tennison Gambit For Black, this is a trap inside of the Budapest Gambit Black Moves are the same as White Moves, but for Black
@@KrakowskiOnMeth Yes. The proper name is Tennison Gambit, ICBM Variation. It's easier to do this in the Réti Opening rather than the Scandinavian, with the opening line 1. Nf3 d5 2. e4.
@@hiimemily nah in the intercontinental ballistic missile variation is instead of Qxd8 you launch an RT-2PM2 Topol-M cold launched, 3-stage solid propellent silo-based intercontinental ballistic missile to attack blacks remaining pieces. However if you do not see this move (perhaps a beginner or playing blitz) Qxd8 will make it the Tennison Gambit. (It should also be noted that an anti-tank guided missile can also word for the ICBM variation).
Tip: usually opponent doesn’t play the scandinavian so develop the knight first and then they will usually play d5 because the knight is controlling e5 and then you can play e4
Wait instead of qxc8 you were supposed to launch an RT-2PM2 Topol-M cold-launched three-stage solid propellant silo-based intercontinental ballistic missile. Or you could have used an Anti Tank Guided Missile to control the center of the board instead.
We can launch an RT 2PM2 Topol-M Cold Launched 3 stage solid propellant silo based intercontinental ballistic missile to attack black's remaining pieces
Because the bishop's moving caused a discovered attack on the queen while checking the king o the yare forced to move the king o you can use the queen to take.
Only problem i see is most players wont actually push that pawn. Most players can see when your trying to be sneaky with your knight, in fact that position with knight CAN ONLY lead to one thing. Its more logical that they would put pressure on the knight a move earlier, throwing this entire thing out the window. cool strat though
Even after losing queen. Its hard to win with white. Black will do fine positionally. I have actually won lot of games with this Gambit as white. But also lost because black opponent played perfect positionally.
Dude, you forgot to launch the RT-2PM2 Topol-M cold-launched three-stage solid-propellant silo-based intercontinental ballistic missile.
Goddamit
common mistake
😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭
Rookie mistake
That's been illegal in recent tournaments.
I was literally trying to find a meme and now I’m learning chess tactics, what a world
😮
and the funny thing is this gambit works a lot of the time, not in this specific way, but still.
Yeah ikr
@@apple222sickly I would love to try this, but almost nobody plays the scandinavian at my 500 elo range:D
Well, if you are a beginner in Chess, you can use an anti-tank missile.
This is probably the most succesful gambit i've use so far
This is actually just a vafiation of the Tenison Gambit. The normal version works more, I suggest you try that, if it succeeds it is mate in 8
Yeah even better results than fried liver

Unless you’re rated like, under 400. Much higher chances of anything working at the beginner ranks
If the meme video didnt blow up it'd work a lot better
@@youtubecommenter7837 nah, I can see players under 1600 fall for this too. Alexandra Botez fell for this very same trap too.
Also remember to not take the hanging pawn either, your queen gets trapped if you do that
I was waiting for an ICBM
ju already know, just for clearness: ICBM = Dd1d8
This works against low-1000s Elo at the very least. 5...h6?? looks like such a natural move, and yet it's disastrous for black.
Horrible pfp
amazing pfp, im trans mtf and i love sylveon :3
Horrible profile picture and personality
don’t you usually comment on jon bois videos?
@@vysionone8692 sometimes yeah

Chess Openings: Tennison Gambit goes brrrr
So the queen is literally the ICBM
Me: knight to g5
Friend: pawn to f6
Me:
After the first capture, the game is called "Tenison gambit"
Intercontinental bombastic ballistic fantastic elastic tragic panic missile gumble gamble missile
called the Tennison gambit.. fun to play, but as you advance, you see less of it
Amazing loop
Instead of taking the bishop on c8 the Queen should have moved to d3 for check, then to f5 to close in on the black King.
I try play that one every time depending of the other player level. Respect must be shown
To force people to play D4, u can play Nf3 first
The enemy comes in with the agies
also if you start with the knight out first there is a higher likely chance they play the d4 move and then you can play e4 getting the same position since the scandinavian is not that common
You can also start with 1. Nf3, d5, e4...
If you also want to continue with a living queen, just take the c7 pawn after taking the queen, thats it.
"Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds."
okay bobby what's goooood
It's the tennison gambit just another name.
Why doesnt anyone see that there is mate in 6 after king captures the knight😢
Instructions unclear, opponent played pawn h6.
great video

Unlocking my inner Lockhead Martin 😤
isnt this the tennison gambit?
no

There's a variation with trades in the middle that discovers the queen, I call it the CucKing Knight Trap.
Would you please do the Danish Gambit if you haven't yet?
But this won’t work all the time cause sometimes they will sack their queen for the bishop
most beautiful discoveries i experienced personally 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
You’d be surprised but I had to play this opening like 15 times before I could get someone to move that pawn to H6
Bruhhh, bro, you forgot to launch the Agni-V
Tip: usually opponent doesn’t play the scandinavian so develop the knight first and then they will usually play d5 because the knight is controlling e5 and then you can play e4
no one plays Scandinavian its too unpopular, my whole school always play Karo-Cann
What if they don’t defend with knight but instead attack with pawn?
Knight C6 also counters the ICBM Gambit if played before the sacrifices.
what if they dont take.
answer quick im in a game
One in a million

It's all over if knight c6
This happened to me it is op
Pro tip: Play d4 instead of d3. The opponent is forced to take the pawn
ah yes, the fat man and little boy gambit
I thought this was called the Tennessee Gambit
My opponent defended pawn with queen
What it they move there pawn instead
Is it actually called that?
To prevent the bishop check, just castle
tennison gambit
Bro forgor to credit Bosnian Ape Society.
Why would you do any of that when there's that discovered attack on white queen at the end 😮😢
what a name for a play
Alright thanks time to abuse this
Why scrify Bishop when you can take the Queen 1 move earlier?
Because the bishop's moving caused a discovered attack on the queen while checking the king o the yare forced to move the king o you can use the queen to take.
The bishop is in the queens path

cool strat though
you meant ng5 because i can't go there
But what if they move the pawn instead of knight?
recapture and the gambit is over
Until they play Nc6 and u premove Nf7
if he dont take what will happend
I wonder is there any TSAR BOMBA gambit....?
I thought it was tennison gambit
Tennison gambit
if they play h3 it and take the knight it is force mate in 6
After bd3 my opponent plays nc6
Just defend that pawn with bishop f5 rather than with the knight
It actually worked I'm in the 900s too
What happens if they dont take the knight? Do you just ragequi-
that one was called black screen, noted
Got me around 50 elo nice trick against the scandinavian
Worked first time i did it!! best opening
What if they dont play h6 and instead play like a natural developing move Nc6?
uhhh yes american to Japan gambit
You took this from Chess Page 1
You forget Black Queen can move to replacement King take Knight

Bruh what opponents are you guys getting? I played a player with 900~ elo & this absolutely did not work
*the perfect loop doesn't exi-*
Didn't work for me he played Queen to d5😅.
Its kinda an egual trade, u only have +1 point
Seems like a bit too much risk for just 3 pt material advantage
YOOOOOOOOOO
Chances are it is not going to happen
After take the black queen dont take the bishop on c8.
it would be embarrassing if you got trap by your own trap
Don't you hate whe you loose to the Tennsion gambit And a ICBM Missile barage rapidly aproaching?
I don’t think that’s the actual name
Why not Bc4?
Because then black can play Ke8
whats up with the name
