Tommy's voice is higher than Roy's was in 2005. Khan is baritenor that's why his voice can be both deep and high. And Tommy is just tenor and it's not his fault! It's a nature. Actually he sings better and better with every concert but I wish they play more new songs. Khan is gift for our world so why are some of his fans so rude? D: And I'm his fan too
Iranicus Malk no I'm not new.. you must have misunderstood me. Khan had higher voice when he was young, especially in Conception. Hehe, Parallel Minds exists and people still think Karevik can sing high as Khan could. But since 2005 Roy started to lost his range. This song is actually from 2005 album. So I just mean that song is only for Khan's more deep voice. That still means at his prime Khan had extremely high voice and Karevik, well.. just a singer. Nothing special. Even in later years Khan sung Nights of Arabia and Fabio did it too, something Karevik has yet to do. But of course he can't
Iranicus Malk actually some Kamelot fans consider Karma, Epica and TBH to be their gold era. And not Fourth Legacy! Don't know why, it doesn't make any sence to me. And some fans even think Karevik era is superior to Khan.. So I don't think modern Kamelot have many old fans to remember Legacy and to know they were actually power metal long ago. But who knows, I heard they will release DVD this year, so high video and audio quality will make it easier to judge. I bet about a half of songs would be new.
I wish they wouldn’t cut out the keyboard solo during the bridge every time they play this live. I guess it’s because they’re only up there for a certain amount of time so they have to shorten the song to get through the set list quickly.
I'm probably being unfair to tommy but he does seem to struggle to sing songs written for kahn in as much as he has tends to shout the upper range where as roy sing s them tommy also frequently sings slightly off key when trying to project power in his voice, he has no where near roy kahns vocal range we must remember that, and we musn t forget roy Kahn studied opera before he got in to metal, and as i understand it has 4 octive vocal range that tommy does not
Never though I'de see this cross over. It let me believe this is still a good world to live.
