The "lie" that was mentioned in the last one was that there was an end. To give context, these two planets orbit a "Black sun", a black hole basicly. These 2 planets were at war, humans, vs Kami. They fought so many times, lost so many lives, but the lie was that there would be an end where one was victorious. That is why the last sword is named "Naught", as it is all for naught. Whichever world wins in the end, it will have been pointless, as they will both eventually be swallowed by the black hole, meaning all the bloodshed and lives lost had no meaning. That is the lie, and what makes the character you see at the end turn white and embrace the Nihility
That and the fact that no one truly won since everyone died which adds to the meaninglessness of the entire conflict.

Even though it hasn't yet come out the Acheron character trailer should be out tomorrow and is likely to be a banger based on how much attention the devs have given her so far. 09:55 Of course Honkai has overall a "positive and wholesome story" as stated by the devs.

About the Kyoden Celestia trailer, all the swords shown are references the Herrchers of Honkai Impact 3rd, they are even in the correct order!
The character shown is the HSR version of Mei Raiden from Honkai impact called Acheron(not her real name btw) so alot of people are exited for her.
U should watch the animated short that came out just before this one called Rondo across countless kalpas, it will blow your mind!

version 2.1 drops in just 2 days and with great reason we are all super hyped for it.
HSR does have it's dark moments but it is over all light in tone.

All of the swords in Star Rail are listed in the same order that the Herrscher appeared in Honkai. Different names, like Mist instead of Wind, but they're the same.
The stuff referenced in Acheron’s trailer is genuinely a Honkai event btw. The Yaoyorozunokami are herrschers, and the sentinels and bearers are divine keys.
I swear that you have the worst timing with these videos Because in like 8 ish hours we'll be getting the Archeron Character Trailer lol.

This Myriad Celestial trailer is the closest we've got from Honkai Impact 3rd lore with Acheron and Raiden Mei being the mirror of their own universe
Each Sentinels represents one Herrescher from Honkai Impact 3rd and then the last two Bearers are the two finals Herreschers who could either save or destroy the world...
And apparently, Kiana has a big impact in HI3 since HSR's Raiden Mei seems to have fallen to the Aeons of Nihility ( IX ) which is a cosmic Black Hole...

Please also react to the "Keeping Up With Star Rail" videos along with the animated shorts. Both are good. The animated shorts are like anime while the Keeping Up With Star Rail videos are more of a gameplay showcase for the characters.

The amount of parrelels to Hi3 lore in Acheron's backstory is crazy. Even the theme used is similar to one used in Lament of the Fallen where Kiana and Mei fight each other.
The red head is himeko. She is the star rail version of himeko from HI3rd
14:10 It's not that the rest doesn't matter, it's that they were listing it in same order the Herrschers in Honkai Impact 3rd appeared. There are MULTIPLE parallels with HI3rd in that trailer.

Interstellar Journey, such a good Song, and i would recommend that you watch the "Fan" version of the EN Voice Actor Cast of the Characters, they sung that song too and its as good as the original.

About the "funny and happy" in "Interstellar Journey"... Don't forget that this is the release trailer. It has kinda similar purpose as " White Night", but 1-2 steps below in epicness (or in something like this) because... well, this one came out first.
I suppose there are already the comments pointing on major Honkai Impact references in Selestia trailer. Starting with the concepts of 14 blades (excluding "Life" and "Naught") and ending with the same male JP and CN VA as of one of the central character in HI 3rd.
I suggest to leave Acheron trailer for the next time and for the next week react to three videos: animated shorts "Harmony Greats the New Year" and "Rondo Across Countless Kalpas" plus "Sparkling Tricks", what isn't called the animated short but I think we may count that trailer as one of them.

Quick loredump for you luke as you may not remember the older trailers you've watched.
Honkai impact 3rds welt is the same one in star rail. Its confirmed this is a different universe as "his" himeko (The red head) died in the final lesson video. This universe has counterparts to a lot of characters in Hi3 such as bronya & seele. The person here is acheron the new lightning sword wielder and the obvious counterpart to Raiden Mei from Hi3 (it may also be possible that genshin is not a seperate entity as Raiden shogun is the same VA and essentially the same character as Raiden Mei)
The whole myriad trailer is telling of swords that hold power in the exact same order that the herrschers of Hi3 Appear
first being Truth/Reason for Welt who also gave his power to bronya.
Second is Sky which is the herrscher of the void the evil version of kiana that you saw in the second Hi3 Video. You can also see her portals opening in the image.
Third being lightning which is for Raiden Mei as herrscher of thunder Etc.
Then you get to origin and end. Origin was Mei's final transformation and end was the original herrscher that destroyed Hi3's pervious civilization which kiana gets the power of and becomes finality in the graduation trailer you saw. Note that they also used world Diva the OST from the Lament of the fallen trailer in this one you can listen to the background music and hear world diva which was Mei's theme both at 14:10and 15:57
So not only coolest trailer star rail's done but has ALOT of both references for fans and possible world building for what this universes event's unfolded as here we see a Raiden without her kiana and the difference in outcome.
The Anniversary is coming up, if you really plan to play this game, now is the best time. 😊

While we don't know how seriously to take that last trailer, and how much of that is metaphor ....
well. GGZ had a total of 70033 Herrschers. HI3 had 12 Herrschers - appearing in the same order and powers as described here - + Origin and Finality.
The girl speaking is Raiden Mei/Acheron, original wielder of the third lightning blade and also the third Herrscher of thunder in Hi3 - but also the herrscher of Origin (the bearer of Origin).
And End? Well, in Hi3 the Finality is born first by Kevin, and then by Kiana.
And in this? Well. The man speaking is Kevin, as in male!Kiana (in GGZ at least).
It seems fair to say that the story of Acheron is similar to the story of both other Raiden Meis. Perhaps the details differ, and it's not the Honkai and Herrschers - but the story rhymes enough that we can speculate where things went wrong - why things went wrong.
... and I suspect the answer is the fact that Kiana ... just didn't exist.
