Owning a pet is a huge responsibility and it’s not inexpensive to own one. Vet bills can be overwhelming and should be a big factor when deciding if you want a pet or not. They’re living creatures and shouldn’t be tossed out when you don’t want them anymore! It’s cruel beyond words.

Not only did the wicked individual leave sweet Nora and her puppies, but also had Nora's tail docked. There is no earthly reason, other than an infection which is untreatable, to dock a dogs tail. Thank goodness there are earth angels ready to care for our furry friends in their time of need.❤❤❤❤❤. Nora was by no means aggressive, she was obviously missing her beautiful little puppies. Thank you Gabrielle and all those who cared for and loved sweet Nora and her puppies. ❤❤❤❤
Here in puerto rico ppl leave the dogs just like this on the side of the road. My mom rescued many dogs from the mountains and she still got 8 dogs that she cooking puertorican food for them ..rice and beans and chicken..everyday for closed to 20 yrs ..

At least they left her at a shelter and they tried to make sure she and pups wouldn't get separated. They could've dumped them out in the middle of nowhere. Also, mama looks pretty good for a dog nursing a bunch of unweaned pups. So she's been getting regular meals. Lovely dog, looks like she could be a Rhodesian Ridgeback cross.

Some shelters charge a small Surrender Fee, my local one has a $30 (AUD) surrender fee. These usually aren't the type of "people" who want to pay precious $$ over a dog or cat, so they leave the animals on the premises for staff to (hopefully) find.. Disgraceful. Shelters need those few bucks to help animals.
Mama is so sweet. I don't know how anyone could let her go. Her capacity for love is full. I can imagine how much joy she'll bring to the family who finds it within their heart to open their home and share their lives with her.

As a person who has worked in shelters and rescue organizations, I can only say that you never get used to the minds of others and their perspective of treatment of animals and humans too. I can say though watching DODO it gives me hope that compassion still exists.

I am saying a prayer for her to be adopted, and also for the family who was in dire situation obviously. The pups and Momma were in good condition, fed and loved. The previous owners had tragedy come into their lives and were probably brokenhearted to leave them. They should have been brave enough to bring the dogs into the office, however; then people would have heard their story of desperation and would have had greater compassion for them. We ought to keep our hearts open to the people also, what desperate need could have caused them to give up these sweet babies and Mommy. Let's be more compassionate

Pet Insurance is very affordable I have on my 3 cats and 4 dogs all rescues. My insurance name is called Lemonade google it.

This happened here in CT this year but the newborns were sold leaving Mama dog miserable and distressed. The authorities did get a few back for her.😢
