This was the first movie that made me laugh and feel depressed/uncomfortable at the same time. It made me think deeply about the reactions of the audience in the movie as well as the audience of this movie. Truly one of the best movies I have ever seen! I have watched entertaining Netflix original movies on Netflix, but this was the first Netflix Original movie that made me think a lot. And I loved the outrageous ending too. Enjoyed Leo’s pure talent too!

If that’s the first film to give you that feeling and you enjoyed it, definitely have a watch of the Big Short if you haven’t already. A masterpiece of Adam McKay and will have you experiencing both laughter and a feeling of emptiness inside.

      * Tey'll make sure no-one besides "white house" knows about this.
      * They would not launch a "BASH" mission,
      - instead they launch a something from a very remote place. Perhaps many at the same time. Not to collect minerals but to obliterate this comet as fast as possible.
      * They do everything to divert people's eyes from the real mission. You know Arena 51? That top-secret.
      * We prob. have scenes from Arena 51, or some other place, maybe we already made contact with aliens, who knows?
      * They wouldn't tell us until they absolutely sure they failed their mission, or its impossible to see. Even if we saw the "comet" they come up with a story to divert the attention again.
      * They prob. all tell us that they have done this before. Why wouldn't we wanna "practice" in saving our planet? Shoot nukes into space, who would care? I really hope there been multiple of test launches to destroy comets before this 'real one' happen.

This man is an absolute legend. And I cannot believe the lack of appreciation that some critics have when it comes to this film. A modern classic in every way, the elaborate context of the psychosocial analysis in projection to our own society albeit Shakespearean, but was done so well, and it really makes you sit back in your seat, and makes you contemplate because the direct identifiers to our own society are blatant and unavoidable. This is us. It may be over the top but it is us.

Lol @ important. It's a propaganda film just like "The Birth of a Nation" and "Triumph of the Will". These films are designed to whip up ideologues and true-believers into a moral panic and have them brutalize others at the behest of the so-called urgency of the fear-mongering. Nothing's changed in 100 years. Sadly, people still fall for this like lemmings, when historical precedent should have taught them better.

What is even better is that 75% of a certain 30% won’t realize they are being pandered to and spoon fed what they believe and being made to feel good for being a part of the group. It is like 60% of the country thinks they know for sure that the other group are idiots and that they are right, when in reality, neither of those groups have any knowledgeable basis for their beliefs and they are just following a crowd.
Then there is another group of people in the middle who think that 60% of the country has lost their minds and sit back and marvel at what is going on right now.
But it sure is fun being smug about it in a group of people that feels the same and getting patted on the back for fitting in. ;-)
