Dr.Vervaeke and his fellows are real genius with respect to humanity scale. I personally had drunken milks in early ages so lipid oversupplied in early ages body development was boosted and quickly stopped, such symptoms are suggested that one cannot live more than age of 55.
I live with same country with Dr.Vervaeke and under same sky and only commutable distant from my home, it is my honor and respect for his video contribution for everyone like me. He is older generation than me, but if I die at 55 (now 41) he still is alive, then it is good for him and good for me, because I don't see fallen angel of his life (older generation dies earlier but in my case, my life is earlier ending I predict).
This is not meaning that I would like to suicide, it is my expression to honor and respect his spirit of talk every part of videos he is contributing. He is contemporary living scholar with our ages he is contributing to humanity scale~!! I am watching same blue sky when he sees clearly blue, I am watching same rainy sky when he sees rainy, he and I live nearby cities and it is happy experience I can do while other country people cannot do!
The bragging some Korean immigrants have, some of the bragging is we can go Canadian university cheaper than abroad student, I add one more: I can live nearby Dr.Vervaeke and we can see him just by paying bus fare only! Of Course, he is not friend to me and I have to make appointment to meet him, it is true that I am so happy with being his same nationality and living under same blue sky!
He is gem of Canadian cognitive science area. I am big fan of his UA-cam videos~!! His fellows are also great people and human network of the strength they can make difference.
If I die at age of 55, it is not regret or dispair, because Dr.Vervaeke lives more than that!! Long live Vervaeke, truthful king of all sciences. I live upto 55 is colloquially I have heard, it is not curse when I watch his UA-cam videos. Dr.Peterson is same hero as Dr.Vervaeke, I realized why UT is best university all over Canada.
This is what I am supposed to think about, even though some my replies are academically colorful and sometimes counteropinions about certain issues.
    * Things are good --- this mentioning is also subject to be abused, but I post this.

Great ideas so far, in the end anyone who tries to believe in One GOD and strives to do good deeds should have a spiritual home even one like me belonging to no religion at all. Background should matter only as far as the name suggests.

The Home of God or the much shorter The Hunger for Home: Food and Meals in The Gospel of Luke are two books that explore our need for a spiritual home. John Vandonk, I think would love the first book. I too have trouble settling in certain churches (as a Catholic I actually have a huge variety of churches to choose from. Franciscan or Dominican or Diocesan? In NYC the choices are endless. They all have a distinct feel.). Just went to the most amazing church in Edinburgh (St. Albert the Great) and it almost makes me want to move there. I am moving in the. next two year and I choose the church first because it makes the biggest difference in my life. It is where we are with a community, our spiritual family.

Home is also orientation, how we "home in," or place ourselves through understanding context.
John frequently reminds us of the temptation towards nostalgia. How is the sense and practice of home related to the practice of being present? Nostalgia is that which diverts attention away from the present, forever at sea among the restless and weary.
Home is also where we house our innocence, a place we must leave if we are to come into the sense of being through agentic process.
    Thanks for the inspirational conversation.

This is the second time today I am hearing about the dangers and pitfalls of nostalgia. But I ask you whether nostalgia of past events or things (whether real or imagined) might not act as the soul's scenting the yearning and and desiring of the Divine, which leaves its traces on all things?

I'm curious what john will say about Odysseus. That poem has archetypal resonance for my life and psyche, especially Telemachus, son of Odysseus.
Further point of reflection: In terms of the Eliade's the sacred and the profane, a home has a sacrilizing function turning homogenous senseless space into a meaningful oriented space.

Couldn't finish this. "Finding a spiritual home" is seeking extrinsic acceptance and value through the social network associated with it.
Value/meaning should be intrinsically motivated, removing the belongingness needs that are the draw of social environments.

With regards to the idea of domicide and this being (possibly) related to the modern meaning crisis.
Maybe it would be worthwhile to look into the following two key words, if you haven’t already: the concept of the „abstract society“ by Karl Popper and the idea of Oikophilia, as well as Oikophobia by Sir Roger Scruton.
I think it would be interesting to follow up that trail and I‘m excited to hear more from you about the connections you‘re already pursuing.
Have fun and a good „hunt“ for new and better ideas!
Edit: @52:40 „The enlightenment has betrayed us. It‘s funny you‘re saying this. One of my favorite phrases by Immanuel Kant (in the critique of pure reason) is the passage where he speaks of a „Ruheplatz der Vernunft“. A resting place for reason. So in a sense, the intent behind this critique was really for a place to call „home“, or at least for shelter. Maybe it would be worthwhile to distinguish between the two.
Plus: I‘m thinking, whether we might have the idea backwards. Maybe the conception of home as in a place to rest that exists independent of where we move, might be something that doesn‘t really exist in the mind of those tribes who have no capability of building and putting an order into things. It might be that out conception of home is as alien to them as the conception of good and evil was in the supposed state of nature was to man, according to Rousseau. I think there‘s a great gap between the two because of our differing conceptions of space. And what it means to put order into space. Maybe the idea of having a roof, which serves as a second sky above us, as something that gives shelter to us, is something that presupposes a certain alienation from nature and presupposes the conception of the sky being just another space among many. - I think you might find that the conception of space - in the myths of those cultures - might be very different from our conception, and that there might be a correlation between the two: between the conception of space that they have and the feeling of home that they inhabit.
And so the question might be, whether the question of recapturing our homes via the conception of those ancient tribes might be akin to the idea, whether it‘s possible to return to the state of nature, or to put the djinni back into the bottle.

So i am trying to discover a course of action to go for school or just find a shitty job and throw myself back into a world that shattered for me when my dad died. everything in me says NO EFFING WAY STAY AWAY find your calling the world is getting way to expensive to live in as a solo person though and don’t seem to be getting better and not sure how to go about it with the ai emergence now replacing alot of things we might not want to replace with a machine…

The world provides more hurdles than we can jump over through sheer strength, John's work helps us understand how we might have made it this far, and learning to use those tools will definitely help you find where you plant your feet, we can't carry all of our yesterday's, we were never meant to, I hope you find what you're looking for, whether that is through career or personal life, in order to get out of the minimum wage workforce you have to continue to educate yourself, maybe in the trades, maybe by finding a mentor, I advise all young people to network, network, network, like real estate and location, location, location. Prepare for the future by laying out a plan, not just in your head, but, put it down on paper, set small goals, opportunities will present themselves, but you have to make the choice of whether or not you want a specific opportunity, does it fit with your story. Live is an incredible challenge, and there are too many roadblocks set before us, just remember to take a moment to think about how you can get over, around, through or under the obstacle before you. Just an old man sharing a little bit of what I've learned through time. Peace

As for location i may have put myself in a shit spot in some small farm town but without a doubt i can not live on my own so i shall keep an eye out for opportunity in a different location i can drive anywhere in Canada now so i should be more mindful of that.
