Oh, dear God. That's sounds like it would be bad for the Kirby universe, especially since Nova isn't exactly discriminatory when it comes to the people wishing upon it...
I like how everyone is freaking out at these fan-made reality-shattering Lovecraftian-esque Kirby bosses, but we all forget that all we need to do is tell Kirby that it took his cake
@@megasnowey7177 Also, it's not out of character for Kirby to be motivated by food. I mean, look at Squeak Squad, man invades Dedede's castle for cake.
All that Zero wished for, for all of his infinite existence, was to feel happy. Feel any semblance of a positive emotion to feel like his purpose is not to suffer in torment. The Nova was able to grant this wish...but it went a step too far. Inhabiting the Nova, Zero felt a bit *too* happy. A constant and continuous state of hyperactive mania. Hysterically joyful to the point where his power is burning the fabric of time itself. If he could laugh, he would be giggling and cackling without end. The universe is his toy, and Zero is going to play very rough with it...until all of it is dust, and nothing remains to satiate his overjoyed sadism.
I really love the beeping pauses. It gives the feeling that Zero now has so much insane power that even he isn't able to control it. He's barely keeping it together, barely able to hold it and refrain from collapsing into himself.
The amusing thing is that ultimately, Nova isn't even the strongest reality warper we've seen. Marx's wish to rule Popstar? Nova was unable to grant. The sun and moon held it back from presumably enacting a plan similar to the Acces Ark. Even Star Dream, a militarized Clockwork Star, is still largely limited to opening portals. Nova, for all its power and capabilities, is merely a space station replicating powers demonstrated by Fecto. The beings capable of reshaping reality on a whim? Drawcia, able to turn the entire world into a painting, and one of the few enemies to effectively restrict Kirby's abilities. Dark Crafter, who sucked the life from Dreamland in mere moments (effortlessly outdoing Sectonia). The enemies and creatures it creates, based on their figures, have full emotions, likely even souls, an impossibility for even to a Clockwork Star. And, most unexpectedly of all, Yin Yarn, who single handedly achieved control of Dreamland, warping it into a form he had full control over, somthing that took Haltman Works' a planet sized space station to achieve. Yin Yarn even managed to successfully force Meta Knight into his power, putting his control at equal level with the Jamba Hearts! Drawcia was only defeated from the intervention of her own magic brush, while Crafter was ultimately a weak being hiding behind Claycia. Yin Yarn is similarly weak on his own, further limited by his own lack of direction besides a vague "Take over Dreamland." But Drawcia soul shows just how dangerous a being of creativity and creation can be if given the chance. Who's to say how much of a threat Yin Yarn could be, once darkened, like so many others, by a single minded need for revenge?
This is actually really cool now that I think about it! Epic analysis!! The fact that Nova is potentially on the weaker side of reality warping makes me think that Kirby has a chance
Holy heck, I thought Nova is like, one of the powerful ones, then you reminded me of F. Elfilis which was the Novas based from. So basically, Kirby spinoff bosses are more powerful than the mainline bosses. They're all also still beatable for Kirby. Hard but possible, keeping some hope while fighting Nodus Tollens.
@@dawson2720 Then… Others can still beat Kirby! They may lose allies while doing it, but the other option is wait for Kirby to kill them. Maybe they purified Siamo Zero with the power of friendship while fighting. Of course that's if you're very much optimistic about it. Honestly though, Elmerneris (or how it spelled) won and the universe got reset. Kirby and friends can’t beat him yet.
I think what I love most about this design is that if you look at a standstill image of it, it looks smug, fully in control. Happy, as paradoxical as that is for Dark Matter. But in motion, it's unstable-- eyes darting every which way, the central pupils spiraling spasmatically, the wing twitching, the clock spinning out of control, its whole form pulsing and warping every other moment, its eyes all going blank whenever it 'Resets'-- It's basically the exact OPPOSITE of 'In control'. Mix all that with the fact it merely EXISTING Breaks time into a loop, and it really does feel like pure chaos through attempted order.
Oh, I love the concept that every part where it goes grey and beeps is like Nova desperately trying to hard reset the universe but gets denied by the Dark Matter portion
To add on to this, the portion of it that appears to be Zero splattered on the surface looks terrified in motion, eyes quivering and darting in every direction.
Imagine a soul version of this fight with the concept of this dark matter corrupted nova being initially beaten by Kirby, trying to then understand how it lost, and after some consideration deciding to utilize its wish granting ability to grant itself "happiness" or some other positive emotion in an attempt to perceive what drives Kirby's actions in general...only for that wish to backfire due to dark matter's nature, morphing it into something else entirely (most likely just another incomprehensible orb of sadness with some reality bending aspects added to it).
A Dark Matter possessed Nova sounds like an absolute nightmare and the theme fits it. I could see a boss fight where the very fabric of time and space is being distorted due to Dark Nova trying to battle Kirby and undo damage done to it
Ok, this is legit the most scariest concept ever: the possibilty of a Nova being possessed by Dark Matter and being able to get whatever wish it desires granted. If that concept ever gets explored in the actual games, boy I just can't imagine! Also, I feel like those eyes stare right down into my very soul.
@@lluis640 My knowledge of Kirby is a tad limited, but your proposal sounds far more interesting. If what I'm understanding is correct, then Dark Nova/Nova Zero would have to utilize energy opposite to it's nature, meaning maybe a possible alteration of it's core nature as the fight progresses
@@lluis640 According to Dezolo Zantas' other comment (which may or may not be real fact) Nodus Tollens is both 100% positive energy and also 100% negative energy at once
When you wish upon a star Makes no difference *Who you are* What happens when negativity can be granted any wish it desires? And can such a wish even exist in the first place? A wish usually involves the joy of gaining it - but is that something Zero can feel? Is it doomed to run the gamut of infinity until it finds a wish worth wishing for upon this corrupted wishing star?
Since everybody has been trying to find meaning in the visuals as well as the title, i'd like to throw in my own idea - going more into the sound itself. I think, as it's pretty obvious, that "Nodus Tollens" tries to be chaotic, all over the place, since it's made for a combination of Nova and Zero/Dark matter. Thematically the latter have the upper hand; The melody is dominated by ups and downs, fadings and a certain amount of... well, sinister. But in between there is attempted order, especially when it comes to the "pause beeps", hard and mechanical just like Nova used to be. My theory here is, that, while Zero/Dark Matter thrive on their new found power, their union is one sided in nature. As a machine, Nova has purpose, a clear defined goal and requires (perhaps self induced or imposed by the ancients) order. And order is anything but what Zero and Dark Matter want, let alone stand for. That's why my guess is, that those "Beeps" and the visuals that come with it is Nova, trying to undo what has happened to them... or at least trying to resist. But the power of chaos and order are contradicting each other, creating conflict and discord - which Dark Matter and Zero once again thrive on. Eventually, the emerging energies overload the giant body and causes the time loop to fail, which Zero/Dark matter had imposed to stabilize their form. A very mysterious and paradoxical creation indeed.
I love the music, I Love the artwork, And I hate, Hate, HATE zero's eyes in the best way. Whenever it looks around it gives me the feeling that it's thinking, "Where am I? When am I? This isn't what I wished for. Pink warrior, is that you? SAVE ME!!" and that feeling is glorious
Looked up the meaning of Nodus Tollens, and it means the realization that the plot of a being’s life no longer makes sense to them; they find themselves in passages they don’t understand, that don’t belong in the same genre. This prompts the being to reread chapters they had previously skimmed only to look through the good parts, only to realize they were meant to choose their own adventure all along. Perhaps in the context of this *thing*, this fusion of Zero and Galactic Nova, Zero gained the star power necessary for Nova to grant its wish: to show Dream Land, and to further extent the known universe, the meaning of pain and suffering. This would only lead to Zero absorbing Nova and becoming what is essentially, Nodus Tollens. Like Star Dream from Planet Robobot, perhaps both Zero Nova lost all known purpose and seek to twist reality in many ways unimaginable. My guess is that they failed to realize sooner they could’ve chosen their own path the way Kirby chose his own…leading to an endless loop of meaninglessness and utter chaos.
This feels somewhat like having a stroke in the form of kirby music for the most part, but I feel like that was the exact feel that was being aimed for here, with the theme of time repeating and losing all meaning to your own life and all others. So yeah, while I may not be a music critic, this is quite a good piece, especially philosophically
As I've noticed quite a few people have liked this comment, so it won't go to the bottom (thanks btw) I think I should theorise how the intro of the video to the theming of time repeating. After the normal intro section, a voice, presumably Elmerninis, says 'let's try something a bit more complex...' and then the lines on the channel logo expand and turn almost fully back in on themselves, but don't quite connect. This is best seen in 0.25x speed if you want to verify. Personally, I believe this connects because of the near resemblance of the symbol for infinity (♾️). It loops back in on itself, just like the video at roughly halfway through, and references the boss, who I'll refer to as the video title, because that follows the titles quite nicely, so Nodus Tollens it is. If we go on a bit of a sidetrack for a minute, in the thumbnail and a few freezeframes in the video where it flashes monochrome, count the circles on nodus tollens. I counted 7, and they are in striking resemblance of dark matter and it's bulbs. Interesting. Sidetrack over, the time repeating theme pungeates the visuals, to the point where the clock on nodus tollens goes backwards at some points. So yeah, that's my detailed analysis with a few sidetracks of the introductory sequence of the video and how it connects to the themes displayed in the music.
Holy crap! This is why I love Kirby lore and the fanbase that comes up with crazy theories about the big baddies in the games. An outcome where Zero manages to wish upon Nova to gain its power can very well mean the end for Kirby, his world, and the entire universe. With all the possibilities that we've seen in @Desolo Zantas's music related to Kirby, someone needs to make a fan game to really capture all of this. This is amazing!
Nodus Tollens Zero finally realizes to not control the dreams. Control the source. Zero doesnt take it to rule the world, he takes it to take their dreams away. He shows them how it is to have no dreams. To not feel. Feel nothing. Feel Zero.
Those moments of black and white, where the chaos stops... It's almost like Zero momentarily lapses in its control of the Nova's power, and the cold, unfeeling mind of the machine peeks out.
I'm too much of a comedian at heart to match the pure drama of some of the other descriptions here, so this'll definitely be different... *Nodus Tollens* Living proof that even a being like Dark Matter can have a reach that exceeds its grasp, having wished on and fused with a Nova to gain all it's ever wanted. But now, something has gone wrong, and Dark Matter can't even begin to understand the body it's now stuck in, and its attempts are spilling out into reality, causing unfathomable damage to spacetime itself in the struggle. Machinery whirs out of control, governors are overridden and redlines are as meaningless as, well, red lines... Perhaps if it turned off, then on again?
I've noticed how Nodus Tollen's eye occasionally glitches erratically and its body shakes while this is happening Maybe the Dark Matter that assimilated this Nova isn't in full control yet?
Nodus Tollens (noun): The realization that the plot of your life doesn’t make sense to you anymore-that although you thought you were following the arc of the story, you keep finding yourself immersed in passages you don’t understand, that don’t even seem to belong in the same genre-which requires you to go back and reread the chapters you had originally skimmed to get to the good parts, only to learn that all along you were supposed to choose your own adventure.
They said it was a perfect being, Incorruptible and absolute. Yet the darkness took hold of it all the same. Eyes began to sprout around it’s body, and the automaton felt a despair so great it began to radiate across the galaxy. Kirby has had to face a fallen counterpart, an amalgamation of knights, and now a near perfect being that has become a cold mindless machine!
"Wishes, time, those two can also be corrupted. Every wish has a consequence, and every second, something bad is happening somewhere. I can only wish you good luck for this fight... because your time might come if you're not careful enough"
That thumbnail. is NIGHTMARISH. Like, genuinely discomforting, even though I recognize it as Nova. It reminds me of Ivan Seal's work; recognizable, yet like a warped reality. I can't wait! If I had to make a guess; Maybe Marx/Nova or Star Dream/Nova. Edit: this makes me think of a game designer going "these two things won't interact" so they never code any interactions for the two... but now its being forced, and everythings going to hell. I love the vibe of this, it's absolutely warped and insane. I remember in the Elmerninis video it said both void and Zero came to Kirby. Seems this is an enemy for another protagonist, eh?
Nodus tollens n. the realization that the plot of your life doesn’t make sense to you anymore-that although you thought you were following the arc of the story, you keep finding yourself immersed in passages you don’t understand, that don’t even seem to belong in the same genre-which requires you to go back and reread the chapters you had originally skimmed to get to the good parts, only to learn that all along you were supposed to choose your own adventure. How did Zero new about such a twisted clockwork, perhaps it absorbed thw remainers of its creators, or it simply gained a twisted interest on it. Did it wish upon a star? Or did ir absorb it? Perhaps both. Does it feel pain, sadness, anger, in its power? Does it keep repeating reality itself to remain any part of its goal from rotting and rusting away, or perhaps, it is unable to comprehend the rhytmyc power it now has. Or, even worse, the star gave it empathy, a acute burst of positive emotions brought without reason, without source, causing it some sort of torment, one that it tries to hard to escape from, repearing and repeating, going back to the time it has a purpose, before time takes it toll, quickly enough, and returns it to the beginning.
The Nova has experienced death yet the dark matter feels like it just began to truly live. Due to the cat mouth on the zero , I’d like to speculate that it isn’t exactly in despair. It gives our zero here a smug look, so I’d like to think that this zero wished to feel happiness (since dark matter can only feel negative emotions). out of curiosity or to understand. It got its wish however its extremely overwhelmed by this positive emotion as you can here by the music (it’s confusing yet fun and whimsical.). It’s simply bathing in the sense of pleasure for the first time, and may have lost the motivation for malice. They appear to have a calm and loving gaze, so I think that they are no longer a threat. But this is just my slightly wholesome take.
I think it's both happy and smug (dark matter) And panicked and terrified (nova) Two conflicting minds, one having control of the immense power it holds but just using it to enjoy itself, and a machine mind stuffed into the weak husk desperate to wish itself back into normalcy knowing the chaos that could be caused but being easily countered while having dangerous side effects for everyone else with the constant flow of wishes Also big clock dark boi look high and jus looking at stuff hehe
These three are terrifying. Zero and the butterfly were already pretty eldritch, and it's taking something that'd drive mortal mind insane and introducing them to things that'd destroy their mind in turn.
"Every time you play this video. You're inducing a loop. Which you can't get out of. So the only way to beat this enemy is to not play it at all." "Something that can't die as long as you perceive it." -Desolo Zantas So basically by putting this in your playlist you end up just fueling its power. That's great!!
@@bigmaxethanschannel1428 I don't think you realize that part of the point is "People are gonna listen to it anyways and it's going to get strength" because it isn't real. It isn't gonna hop outta the screen and kill you lol. It's just to make it a cool explanation about how its getting stronger.
This was probably unintentional, but the two eyes at the bottom of Nodus Tollens' case resemble Gooey's eyes, and matched with the pinkish-red color of the petals in the first phase and the pendulum wildly spinning around, it looks like Gooey is sticking his tongue out
@@jacksonsartwell8757 Didn't Flowey need to steal the Six Human Souls in order to have enough Determination to take back control of the SAVE files from Frisk? 2:48 to 3:19 is my favorite part. I love the tempo. It loses all calm collected pace, it’s like the ‘world to win’ section of sectonia all over again. I dig those little increasing intensity or heroic sections. As much as I love to hear the nightmare boss radiate the aura in the music, I love to hear victory for the hero.
I have never heard of this idea before. Zero/Dark Matter possessing Nova. And yet this could happen in a Kirby game. Super freaking awesome idea and song. You and Andy did an amazing job with the animation and visuals too. Edit: oh yeah, Planet Popstar is absolutely demolished in the background. Let that sink in.
The spring has been cleansed but the corrupted water still flows. No more dark matters are being made by void but there are still dark matters making dark matters. Zero dying didn't kill the dark matters it made it just weakened them by removing the leader.
Fight idea for nodus tollens: you have to use his existence against him. At first when you get through his fight, barely defeat him after possibly dying, clawing yourself a victory where nodus falls apart, he resets with his wish of omnipresence, and you are fully and completely back at square one. Then, you realize, or more accurately remember, that he is a mathematical anomaly, a superposition of reality and non-existence based entirely on a clockwork logic built upon nothing but, or more accurately _for_ , wishes; attempting to fulfill and or make sense of emotions. This, for hal, the company, could introduce players to the idea of a no hit run, alike the one health challenges in super mario galaxy, but even harder. You have an ability to close your eyes, kirby can close his own eyes in game blacking out the screen. Turn your camera away from nodus as well. dodge his attacks perfectly. Do not get hit. Doing this, recognizing that he truly does not exist with the lack of senses to tell you the same, makes it so. An enemy where perception (into cognitive corporealization) is a fail state inevitably leads to you finding out the way to defeat (or kill? Delete?) him is through his own self powered and possibly proclaimed strength, or weakness. It is all in a wish after all. Not getting hit by him, not seeing him, is exactly tantamount to him not existing since it is the reality that not you made, but the universe fell too with your help. The five senses recall nothing if you completed the challenge of the no hit no look run, just like how hal laboratories would want you to, and the universe is saved from the damage by nodus tollens. and the impossibility is fixed, or rather it fixes itself through the logic the universe has inherently. Would he be brought to the canonical afterlife realm after this? Idk nobody knows really. Anyway no one can leave that place except for the leader butterfly guy and nodus could be an exception there since hes literally not real after the fight (completing it in the rules described) in every sense and definition. Popstar is back to it’s full glory, green grass and happy friends and blue beautiful breathable air. He truly didn’t exist, and you won with credits to reward you 👁👁👁 (can memory be erased? we'll see...)
More then likely there would be some helpful things so it’s not impossible: 1. The attacks would be slightly easier and slower. 2. There might be hints of your surroundings, such as the attacks very subtly glowing, or the use of audio cues.
@@stanley8006I mean wouldn’t you have to infinitely keep on dodging the attacks since Nodus tollens got tired since it would be a powerful being? In its omnipresence Nodus tollens could increase their attacks plus if Kirby looks away it would be more difficult to dodge the attacks with zero two being 100x the size of Kirby along with nova imagine how much damage could be dealt with zero being a type of dark matter plus with Kirby dodging the attacks nova would know they still have a chance so Kirby would probably have to do a repeated death for Nodus to stop
So,nova(from the main body) ,star dream(from the star near the eye) ,zero 2(from the white piece near the eye,and we know it's zero 2 and not 1 from it's wing),dark nebula(from the 3 colored pupils in the eye),swordsman dark matter (from the eye after the countdown) and gooey(from the eyes near the pendulum)? I think i listed them all, anyway, vero good as always, and,as always, sweet, sweet lore too!
The concept of creation is driving it mad....yet, unlike the battles before...it's happy. A cancerous hive mind now armed with reality and wishes at it's fingertips yet...it just wants to play with kirby. What's the worst that could happen? It's only the universe at stake.
Something was wrong. It had finally matched the champion of the stars, trapping it in an infinite loop where no escape or help would come. It could easily reassemble from the puffball's assaults along with whatever new power it could muster... It looked into it's self for answers...Yet, it only found a similarity with the clockwork host. "I CANNOT GRANT MY OWN WISH." The harder it wound, the more it felt like falling apart.
"It's only the universe at stake" is the most Kirby line I've ever heard, right after "A few planets got destroyed in the process, but hey, that's life!"
Nodus Tollens: Elmernis’s ultimate creation, a fusion of a clockwork star controlled by dark matter, it allows them to elmernis to control time and space and summon dimensional variations under their control, and is their key to messing with time and space and make it their own:
Popstar's world had once again fallen into chaos. The flowers cried out, the land yearned for blood, as the worlds around Popstar fell to pieces. The hero once again had work to do, but it was too late for our land, I had no choice but to evacuate in my ship along with all the survivors I could carry. the hero riding on his star, to gather survivors. When the hero began to help search the ruins of the planet. Suddenly I felt extreme pain throughout my body, I wasn't the only one who felt it. but the pain turned to fear. When we saw the sky and the stars open up only to show a being the size of a planet looking at us with its single eye. hero...... save us please. (for dear desolo: Would you like to baptize the hero with a name?)
@@Sparkshot99....I had to look at the comment again to realize that that was what happened. AND NOW I'M CONFUSED-AND KINDA TERRFIED-WHAT HAPPENED-IS THERE A FANFIC I MISSED-
I really like the idea that this clockwork amalgamation has to reset the surrounding environment including itself to keep the universe stable, all because of the immense pressure and energy it emits.
The twisted wish maker *Nodus Tollens* The first new creation of contra void, a being of pure destructive energy with only one wish, eliminating all positive matter to make space for more "useful" lifeforms
I like how it not only looks like nova is in pain from being meshed with zero but zero is seemingly confused like it dosen't have control as if there is something new playing with it bending it to it's will making nova and zero suffer or should i now say zeronova or is it novazero but anyway i just like how it acts out of control and messed up beyond anything's ability to fix
Ooh! Maybe it’ll be a mix of Star Dream Phase 1, Heart of Nova, and Star Dream Phase 3?? Or; judging by the clever coloring, something hinting towards Fecto Forgo??
*Nova Type: Zero* Elmerninis' third and final subject chosen to torment Kirby. Possessing a mortal vessel, Zero traveled across the universe, gathering the necessary power to summon a Nova. When the Nova appeared, Zero made a wish to fuse with it. "OK > 3, 2, 1, GO!" The result is as you see now. With power to bend reality to his will, Zero became unstoppable. There is no way to beat him in a fight. You can only do... nothing. ============================================== This time, there is no alternate version as this boss is an almighty god that cannot be defeated because his powers pretty much stretch across the infinite, thus, an extra version is redundant and he wouldn't be a part of a boss rush mode. I've seen a similar scenario like this in one other game where no matter what you do, there is only defeat, you cannot win... at least, not through the way you're "meant" to go about it. AntiNihility Subcontra Doppia Elica The finale approaches...
This thing is basically Star Dream fueled by the Raw power that Zero has as a reincarnation from Void. Basically is like stacking the power of Star Dream + Zero + Dark Matter units + Nova. Not even Void Termina could be that powerful. You could say that it could defeat Kirby by wishing that he never existed, but Dark Matter species has the same weakness as the original "Void"... They don't have a consciousness. In the case of Void it doesn't matter because they're just raw power that reacts to emotions and reincarnates in every plane of existence, as we already know, they aren't really "alive" neither "dead", they just exist, that's why Void is the concept of creation itself, and therefore the name "Void". But Zero and Dark Matter can actually die, so once again Kirby will have to show his true power, the INFINITE power he has, to defeat this monstrosity. Well, not really die, pretty much like Kirby, but they can be stopped, I mean. Nice concept, I love it.
As always the combination of stellar music and beautiful art this is a masterpiece. Darkness turned clockwork. Ancient Machines filled with the power to shape the stars. In the end it’s perhaps the fate of all… to return to Zero.
"Though they are beings of nothing, the Dark Matter species are capable of recreating anything from their memories. In its inability to express anything but hatred, Dark Matter only recreates the many things that have defeated its kind, and what granted powers to those beings. Though Pop Star was once visited by two instances of the Dream Machines, this one is nothing short but a Nightmare Machine..."
The idea of a dark matter infested clockwork star... For such power to be under the control of an entity completely devoid of feeling.... That's horrifying...
I'm guessing it's either Star Dream, or the more likely outcome judging by the look of Nova here, Marx. But the description implies it might also be someone related to Zero... Either way, it's gonna be GOOD. Edit: I WAS RIGHT, and I really like the concept of a Nova mixed with Dark Matter!
I wasn't actually asking a genuine question, I was doing more of an "oh shit" question, as in "wait, why do I hear boss music" type beat I should probably take it down now that I see that the background wasn't that bad
I have not put this song down since I started listening to it and now want to make a 3d model of this presumably confused amalgam of infinite possibilities. I genuinely love the concept of having unstoppable power and no direction for it. Zero could easily dominate reality by merging with an entity whose purpose is to serve and grant wishes, but this has warped that to an insane degree and it leaves such room for lore and storytelling. Does zero realize the futility in bringing all things to their level of loneliness, does nova shift their personality from one of servitude to freedom and helping only themselves? And what about star dream, is that entity not a fragment of a nova, therefore adding to its reality manipulating, knowledge gathering, and capricious nature? Just the fact that you see not only zero, but pieces of zero 2, gooey, basic dark matter, and so much more scattered all over this entity means that it's a mix of so much and yet it can only achieve nothing due to its newfound mental state, making it unable to fit into the mold it set for itself any longer. And these time breaks, where everything inverts and only the singular eye is shown, I can't help but to think that's the real Zero trying to assert dominance over the situation, causing reality itself to pause for a moment, but it's ultimately useless since it's not alone anymore and there are other entities coexisting with it that aren't bending to it, and what's more, are likely assimilating that dark matter into itself changing the dark matter force and nova into a different entity all together. This isn't even mentioning the fact that it can't die, it's a reality manipulating entity that was hard to kill when its core parts were separate. But now it's full of 3 entities that can make reality its plaything. Even when you beat it, it just comes back again, this thing is great I love it can't wait for more
Nodus Tollens: Taking a knot… a loop This enemy is by far one of the strangest that you created (except for little Elmer over there) So, I had a question (besides congratulating you for the conglomeration of a banger that is this song), how would the loop mechanic work on an actual Kirby game?
If i were to do this concept, i would have a further focus on nerve endings and vein capillary networks like the Marx fight does in ultimate. The "toned down for children --i wanted it to be more gruesome--" fight with Marx in ultimate. After all he got those powers from nova so canonically that's what nova is completely capable of. Also the Zero 2 official nerve ending artwork in Kirby 64 where Zero 2's wings are unapologetically nerve endings.
Self-Callopsing Comet - Hyper NOVA "Haltmann based the _perfect machine_ off of Ancient Blueprints. It seems those Ancients intended this wishgiver to _recieve Wishpower_ in exchange for propagating _true prosperity._ But when dimensions cross, and the emotions are _ill-intended_ of the darkest kind..."
This isn't a being that can be destroyed by any metric outside of its volition: if it wants to, it can wish itself back together through any wound it may sustain. There are two ways to defeat a being such as this, both of which would be unimaginably difficult to pull off, manipulating the weaknesses of each side of this being against the other. First, and probably more easily, you could physically pierce the Nova and destroy its core before it could do anything. This would be tough, but it would presumably just leave an incarnation of Dark Matter behind to deal with, since the host Nova would be literally dead, and the wish-granting mechanisms would be destroyed too. There would be no life left for the Dark Matter to manipulate, thus, it wouldn't be able to manipulate the Nova. The second way, and the far more intriguing one, is to prey on the weaknesses of the dark matter within it. Dark Matter cannot coexist with positive emotions, so by tricking it into feeling positivity, it destroys itself. And, if the beeping and siren-like noises are to be believed as the Nova trying to resist the Dark Matter within it, this would also leave it free to boot up, and probably appreciative of what you've done to help it. To do this, the Dark Matter would have to wish to understand why Kirby continues to fight, even as it refuses to die. The answer is because Kirby is fighting both for and with every single positive emotion imaginable. Merely trying to understand this would utterly destroy the Dark Matter inside of the Nova, without actually really... giving it the ability to make a wish to survive. Novas require time to enact any wish, after all. In gameplay, the former would be a chance to "kill" this entity that you'd get every time that you deplete its HP and force the Dark Matter to wish to heal back up, which is a chance to destroy the Nova's core. The second method would, in gameplay, probably happen as a result of surviving through many different "lives" of the whole being. This being is a paradox within it of itself, but because of the two beings involved, and how they'd have to interact, it solves itself.
I'll be honest this is definitely the most uncomfortable I have felt in a good way, the general feeling of distortion and something not feeling right is definitely the feel I felt like this was aiming for. The description also kinda gives me the creeps, Great job on this one!
I feel like the beginning makes you feel like you have this horrible realization, that you have no control over anything at all anymore, but then dark matter shows you the beauty in the fact that nothing matters near the end of the loop. That is, right before kirby collapses him. This song, the song name, and the art that goes with it is astoundingly befitting to me.
(Let's ignore that this prep comment was late, shall we) _Leans back in chair beside Commentator Waddle Dee_ Well, guys, Kirby did it. Meta Matter Blade is no more. Things are heating up in the Multiverse! It's time to show god who's boss again, Kirby!
This is great: the concept, music, art it's all amazing you managed to create another banger in all categories Also I noticed the novas mouth is still there now the all powerful nightmare deity is adorable
I know its too late for commenting but i just find incredible how even in the caos you can still find a bit of order and a great melody Also the art is just incredible I saw how others talk about dark matter triying to keeping it together but im here to give a different headcanon because the desing is just incredible The first desing (the caotic one) insteaf of looking like nova being possesed is dark matter triying to not be possesed, i mean, dark is only a part of zero so wouldn't be crazy if he just cant hold nova's power The image in the beep part is what would happen if nova win i mean you can see that the only thing remaning is just one eye like a scar but even with that it still nova, the background proves it, in the caos everything is broken, destroyed, dark matter won, but in the perfect state everything is beautiful and full of stars But thats just a theory
I listen to this when I go to sleep, it's a mix of excitement and calmness which has been pulled off in a very subtle way and unlike others who try to recreate that feeling, you have done spectacularly Desolo Zantas! Oh yeah, what does your name mean if it has a meaning?
Considering these are all worst possible outcomes, I wonder if we'll get a more neutral outcome - a universe where Kirby failed. . .but someone came along to take his place? Sure its bad because Kirby lost but there is another hope somewhere, perhaps abit of misjudgement on the part of our resident house guest god on Kirby's focuses - Kirbo duels his replacement to make sure they are up to the task to protecting their own reality.
YOOOO what an amazing boss idea! Loving the "glitchy" effect in the music as well; it makes it feel more corrupted and "offsetting" with what a strange but powerful entity can be. I absolutely adore your originals, and the ones you've been making recently have been great! Can't wait for more uploads!
The design is so perfect, it’s like even if it doesn’t change that much it goes in and out of being more recognizable as nova and more recognizable as dark matter based on the contrast. At least, that’s what I saw. Edit: wait, I just noticed... what with the eyes above it, and the dark matter lump looking a bit like a mouth... is the pendulum supposed to be Gooey's tongue?
For a moment I expected that the next opponent that ended the universe would be King Dedede, (thought that it was the 3 most famous characters from Dreamland, that is: Kirby, Meta Knight and King Dedede) but this is a thousand times more cursed than what I imagined, a nova possessed by Dark matter/Zero that take over the universe and brokes the reality itself... if siamo zero and hypermetamorpho were torture, Nodus Tollens would be absolute hell. In fact, I even wonder how unimaginable and surrealistic will be the elemerninis phase 3.
I've been listening to this over and over again. truly a masterful piece of art. The usage of SFX and the music's general speed and chaotic nature are fantastic! The visual elements to are very unique, especially the use of fractals. Thanks for the great song!
"Every time you play this video, the loop restarts. Are we stuck here?" Hell yeah we're stuck here! Because despite how eerie this track is, its honestly really hypnotic and I can't stop replaying it. I can practically hear disorder trying to order itself, a paradox in of itself. And I'm a sucker for stuff like that, especially that you managed to convey that feeling without lyrics or discernable words of any kind. Also the portion in 2:43 sounds like its trying to sound sacred, like how Galactic Novas are supposed to be revered as, but ultimately fails.
_The grand void of the universe came upon the clock of fate, seeking its eternal wishes. For it had a singular wish of its own. To feel. To know. To have what it’s greatest enemy had. And this is what it had requested from the divine clockwork. But something had gone terribly wrong. For the nature of the darkness of the universe is to be cold, unmoving, and black. For it to have the opposite would be a universal paradox. And so, the moment it had it, the cosmos could not handle such a concept, and the two intergalactic beings had fused together in the chaos. And so, the omnipotent darkness was born, seeking to take down all in its confused rage._
It’s so cool. Zero and nova becoming one because zero wishes to be happy so it can’t feel negative emotions. I can see it start to severely distort in on itself. The soundtrack that comes with it is so odd but energetic and uplifting. The way it’s eyes is split into three is distinct. It’s eye also gets super distorted as well. Keep it up. I have a friend who’s really interested in becoming an music artist.
Hmmm... this could give a bit more of credence to my theory that I stated back in Hyper Meta Morpho... And the best part about it is, is that Elmerninis isn’t going to realize what Kirby’s doing until it’s too late. To Elmerninis, it’s all a game. And a rigged one at that. (At least in his eyes)
Kirby. Meta Knight. Galactic Nova/Zero. ...I'm excitedly afraid to see what might happen if King Dedede is also in Elmerninis' parallel universe gauntlet roster to toss Kirby into. (no this isn't a request, more of an "I don't wanna imagine how that'd work yet until/if it does happen")
"When a Nova falls into the clutches of dark matter, it changes dramatically. It simultaniously exist and doesn't exist, breaking time itself in the process. It takes on the appearence of an amalgam of the clockwork star itself and a member of Dark Matter, loosing one eye. It has a blue iris, inside are three more iris, each with a different color and spinning around. The eye seems to sometimes vibrate uncontrollably, what the cause is is currently unkown. On the side, the body of ZeroTwo seems to be melted into it. On the bottom is a pendulum with an eye, wich seems to be alive, as it looks around frequently. On every side of the clockwork star are flat beads, a signature trait of the Dark Matter race. It color scheme however does not resemble any of the members of said species. Sometimes it also fades in and out of existence, wich seems to be the result of time ceasing to exist before it gets looped. This is a good indication on when time goes back to the beginning of the loop It sometimes appears to stop time, turning everything black and white, twitching speradically, as every eye on the Nova, including the eyes of ZeroTwo shoot wide open and turn pure white, with exception of the main eye, wich appears to have a grey pupil. The cause of this is unkown. It, like Zero, creates a hyperzone around itself, except that time is a loop inside of it that you cannot escape. Once inside the event horizon it brings you to the very centre of the hyperzone. By the time that you approach the border again, time simply... resets, bringing you back to *Zero*. You cannot destroy the Zero Nova, as the loop would simply undo everything you did, making it essentially immortal. You are doomed to forever wander the hyperzone, as you cannot die, time itself will bring you back." -Azazel, head Magician of the Ancients
This is actually beautiful. I love the art and possibilities this explores and the music just represents everything going on so well that I’m just floored. Brilliant all the way through!
"I WILL GRANT YOU ONE WISH... ->" -"I wish... for the power... to conquer everything... And everyone... To destroy it all... to achieve my... their... dream." IF YOUR WILL SHOULD PREVAIL, YOU SHALL GET WHAT YOU WANT. ->" "A BATTLE. BETWEEN YOU, AND THE UNIVERSE. MAY THE GREATER FORCE WIN. ->" "....3... 2... 1... GO! ->"
A probability of Zero wishing upon a Nova for its power.

Every time you kill it, it respawns but a bit more unstable. And eventually reality implodes it
@@jpgigoux no it just simply turns into a waddle dee and that’s it
@@Gundam_mug_liker Even better, eventually Zero just becomes something similar to Gooey.
Yin Yarn is similarly weak on his own, further limited by his own lack of direction besides a vague "Take over Dreamland."
But Drawcia soul shows just how dangerous a being of creativity and creation can be if given the chance.
@@avianoffire1576 "They're all also still beatable for Kirby". These bosses are terrifyingly powerful and all but what if Kirby turned evil?
@@dawson2720
Then…
Others can still beat Kirby!
One small correction is that Drawcia didn't even got Popstar into a painting. It was THE ENTIRE MILKY WAY that was transformed
To add on to this, the portion of it that appears to be Zero splattered on the surface looks terrified in motion, eyes quivering and darting in every direction.
oh, you wanna reset? nuh uh
yeah.
Yes.
Every time I hear something like this my first thought is " oh god the theme"
Or a being that still with the understanding of the cruelty of the world, tries to make everything happy… by making everything it.
Stop. You’re making me more scared of levitating spheres.
It would probably end up killing itself and just leaving the positive energy instead of morphing.
Perhaps leaving behind the original Nova
3:19 I love the way Nodus is defeated but then suddenly reappears, as if seemingly immortal now, thanks to its new wishing powers..
"THOUGHT IT WAS OVER, PUFF FUCK"
3:19 "You... YOU--"
3:22 "You idiot."
We gonna need to find a way to ignore it while dodging it’s attacks
A Dark Matter possessed Nova sounds like an absolute nightmare and the theme fits it. I could see a boss fight where the very fabric of time and space is being distorted due to Dark Nova trying to battle Kirby and undo damage done to it
Ok, this is legit the most scariest concept ever: the possibilty of a Nova being possessed by Dark Matter and being able to get whatever wish it desires granted. If that concept ever gets explored in the actual games, boy I just can't imagine!
Also, I feel like those eyes stare right down into my very soul.
What's even more eerie is the design seems to hint the emergence of a Zero variant of this monstrosity as the fight goes on. Nova Zero.
@@midovodella1702 but Nova needs the energy of the dream fountains to grant a wish, than energy includes POSITIVE energy.
Reminds me of sketches of a Zero-based prototype design for Star Dream before they settled on a clockwork star like NOVA
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference
*Who you are*
What happens when negativity can be granted any wish it desires?
What further proves this theory is that when you look at the background during a beep you can see everything is back to normal, likely from nova
Zero with Nova’s power? What a nightmarish scary concept! The music and design perfectly encapsulate this as well!
now immagine kirbo slaps it HARD and yeels "NO"
This feels somewhat like having a stroke in the form of kirby music for the most part, but I feel like that was the exact feel that was being aimed for here, with the theme of time repeating and losing all meaning to your own life and all others.

Living proof that even a being like Dark Matter can have a reach that exceeds its grasp, having wished on and fused with a Nova to gain all it's ever wanted. But now, something has gone wrong, and Dark Matter can't even begin to understand the body it's now stuck in, and its attempts are spilling out into reality, causing unfathomable damage to spacetime itself in the struggle.
I think it's both happy and smug (dark matter)
And panicked and terrified (nova)
Two conflicting minds, one having control of the immense power it holds but just using it to enjoy itself, and a machine mind stuffed into the weak husk desperate to wish itself back into normalcy knowing the chaos that could be caused but being easily countered while having dangerous side effects for everyone else with the constant flow of wishes

"I CANNOT GRANT MY OWN WISH."
The harder it wound, the more it felt like falling apart.

Ooh! Maybe it’ll be a mix of Star Dream Phase 1, Heart of Nova, and Star Dream Phase 3?? Or; judging by the clever coloring, something hinting towards Fecto Forgo??
Either way, this is DEFINITELY another entry into the Elmerninis saga, and I can’t WAIT.
Something even more different
@@DesoloZantas ooh!
Ok, I was somewhat right. I did hear a hinting towards Heart of Nova in the song.
*Nova Type: Zero*
Elmerninis' third and final subject chosen to torment Kirby.
Possessing a mortal vessel, Zero traveled across the universe, gathering the necessary power to summon a Nova.
When the Nova appeared, Zero made a wish to fuse with it.
"OK > 3, 2, 1, GO!"
The result is as you see now.
With power to bend reality to his will, Zero became unstoppable.
There is no way to beat him in a fight.
You can only do... nothing.
==============================================
This time, there is no alternate version as this boss is an almighty god that cannot be defeated because his powers pretty much stretch across the infinite, thus, an extra version is redundant and he wouldn't be a part of a boss rush mode.
I've seen a similar scenario like this in one other game where no matter what you do, there is only defeat, you cannot win... at least, not through the way you're "meant" to go about it.

The finale approaches...
In the end it’s perhaps the fate of all…

Probably because the animation might use flashing lights or flashing effects?
There was a cover of Star Dream's (phase 3) theme that had some pretty trippy visuals, I'm guessing they'll be doing something similar here
I wasn't actually asking a genuine question, I was doing more of an "oh shit" question, as in "wait, why do I hear boss music" type beat
I should probably take it down now that I see that the background wasn't that bad
Even when you beat it, it just comes back again, this thing is great I love it can't wait for more
Nodus Tollens: Taking a knot… a loop
This enemy is by far one of the strangest that you created (except for little Elmer over there)
So, I had a question (besides congratulating you for the conglomeration of a banger that is this song), how would the loop mechanic work on an actual Kirby game?
In game, to be this boss. Don't fight it. As soon as you find it and reactivates the loop mechanic.
@@DesoloZantas So a battle of attrition? Kirby would have to survive long enough to win.

Also the Zero 2 official nerve ending artwork in Kirby 64 where Zero 2's wings are unapologetically nerve endings.
oh also heavy clock and cog sound effects like wario land 4's "hurry up" beginning and end.

Never thought I'd see Zero do a :3 face

I know its too late for commenting but i just find incredible how even in the caos you can still find a bit of order and a great melody
Also the art is just incredible
I saw how others talk about dark matter triying to keeping it together but im here to give a different headcanon because the desing is just incredible
The first desing (the caotic one) insteaf of looking like nova being possesed is dark matter triying to not be possesed, i mean, dark is only a part of zero so wouldn't be crazy if he just cant hold nova's power
The image in the beep part is what would happen if nova win i mean you can see that the only thing remaning is just one eye like a scar but even with that it still nova, the background proves it, in the caos everything is broken, destroyed, dark matter won, but in the perfect state everything is beautiful and full of stars
But thats just a theory
Thus would be one of the most terrifying kirby villains ever
I listen to this when I go to sleep, it's a mix of excitement and calmness which has been pulled off in a very subtle way and unlike others who try to recreate that feeling, you have done spectacularly Desolo Zantas! Oh yeah, what does your name mean if it has a meaning?
Glad you enjoy it! ❤️

Hell yeah we're stuck here!
Exactly

Been discovering all your Kirby music this past few days, keep up the great work!!

This is a good indication on when time goes back to the beginning of the loop
It sometimes appears to stop time, turning everything black and white, twitching speradically, as every eye on the Nova, including the eyes of ZeroTwo shoot wide open and turn pure white,
with exception of the main eye, wich appears to have a grey pupil.
You are doomed to forever wander the hyperzone, as you cannot die, time itself will bring you back."
