I’m with you!! I don’t have a farm but I did want to plant lavender in a large bed. I have killed about 26 lavender plants and wasted lots of hard work and money.

Thank you! We are in the process of clearing away all cotton wood and brambles from our 2 acres and I was hoping to grow a 1/2 acre of lavender. Unfortunately we have clay soil as well and I’ve been watching every UA-cam video I can find, looking for ways to successfully grow lavender with our soil conditions. if it helps: Lavender loves crappy soil. Literally. I have mine in pots, and my soil mix, is basically 1/4 soil, 1/2 perlite, 1/2 coarse/chunky sand, and if i have some lava rock ill throw that in too, and some lime cause lavender likes alkaline soil.

Thank you for the nice video. We are actually starting a small lavender farm :) It looks like the way you covered the soil avoids any water from coming to the plants. Do you need to water them once in a while at the base, or how does it function for you? Thank you!

We only watered by hand until the plants were established. After that, the rain is enough
