Great reviews of the new dolls Jessica it felt a bit emotional in parts on how you feel about the way Rainbow High is going.
Sadly as a RH/SH collector I don’t think I will buying any of these dolls, the glitter, slime, tinsel, less articulation, less detailed fashions, no jewellery or painted nails just puts me off. They do have pretty faces and I’m sure if they want to target a younger audience parents will appreciate that but as an adult collector I’m sad to lose almost everything that made these dolls so special for me. 😢. Going forward I will just buy the older dolls I need to complete my collection and appreciate all the wonderful RH/SH dolls I have hoping that MGA might release some dolls aimed at older collectors in the future.

To be honest, this video was hard to film because Rainbow High was so special to me! The rainbow high line was groundbreaking and transformed doll collecting for adults and children with the fashion, details, doll stands, articulation, and the range of cultures included. Having all of that reduced to glitter and slime is disappointing. I do think that these dolls are pretty, but they don't represent the Rainbow High dolls that I fell in love with. It would be amazing if they still released a collectors doll here and there, that would return some hope.
Hey Jessica in a recent video I was telling you the dolls I collect I forgot an doll line it was Lol dolls and I do want the Luv dolls only want the AA doll, the doll in the blue dress and I love that they do come with stands in this video you're giving Lay Lay Vibes you look like you can pass for her older sister love you dollie friend.

These dolls are pretty but I don't think I will continue to collect Rainbow high dolls. ✌️

Regarding that rooted hairline, I had something similar happen with my Costume Ball Violet, which was super disappointing. The only doll I bought from this line was Sunny, and I managed to scrape off her facial glitter. The loss of articulation is a drag but her face is very pretty. I'm not going to rebody her, and I don't plan on getting any others from the line.
Yea, that Sunny is just too pretty to pass on! I think rebodying the dolls will be way too expensive. Did you decide to keep your costume ball Violet?
@@jessicasdollhouse89 My CB Violet was a mess in many ways! She has a slight iridescent sheen to her face, which I think is pretty, but there are small chunks of the stuff on her face that I can't remove without ruining the entire finish. Her elbow joint pieces are yellow. I already mentioned her janky hairline--and by the way, you can't see her face or hairline in the packaging because of her mask. Finally, one leg is substantially longer than the other, to the point where it's hard to balance her on the stand. I don't even know how they managed that. A mess! She's in my sewing room, serving as a fitting model, and I don't really consider her part of my collection. 😅

Violet doesn’t either. I found her on clearance for $9 at Walmart….not sure why she was already on clearance at that 1 Walmart

They do look good standing there all together, even without orange. I'm disappointed in the changes, but they're not terrible. I'm back and forth on whether I want one or not because I still don't have an Amaya doll, or maybe I could get a second color and create doll and put my own rainbow in her hair, I dunno.
They look beautiful as a set, just not as good as g1. I LOVE the color and create dolls! They help me relieve stress! They would also make a nice AMAYA🤩
The new ones have better faces (if I ignore the glitter...) but everything else I like the old better.

I really love the new Sunny, she is the only one I purchased. I wouldn't say I like her more than the original, I like both. As for the other new ones though, I don't care for them, I like the original ones better.

From what i can see rainbow high was actually doing pretty good from a business perspective mattel did not need to do a reboot the first generation of rainbow high dolls are too precious in my eyes to start looking at the other ones remade but i do like the one with the rainbow hair and dress not hating on the reboot just my view other than that i still will continue to buy the dolls
Yea, I'm unsure why with the reboot! I feel robbed! My favorite doll to collect...has downgraded🥲
The only thing i'm kinda hating on these dolls are the pets 😭😭😭
