- The Philadelphia Orchestra performs Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King” from Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 under the direction of Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin in Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on October 13, 2015. Video featured in the Google Cultural Institute’s global performing arts exhibition available at g.co/performingarts and on the Google Cultural Institute website, google.com/culturalinstitute. I sometimes pause at the beginning, put on my headset, and play my viola to feel like I'm an actual performer
Purchase a VR headset and if you know how to play your instrument with your eyes closed then you'll feel like you're actually there when you have the vr headset on.
Awe inspiring! Perhaps this wonderful technology could be utilized by orchestras across the country to raise revenue beyond the capacity of the concert hall. No gimmicks; no marketing ploys; no artistic compromises. Just music.
Outstanding! Thank you Google for making this experience possible and thank you NY Times for providing the link.
Ugh ever since I performed there earlier this month, videos don’t cut it anymore. You need to see this stage in person before you leave this earth, it’s too stunning for words.
OUR CLASS WAS SUPPOSED TO PERFORM HERE THEN CORONAVIRUS HIT WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE LAST WEEK MY DISAPPOINTMENT IS IMMEASURABLE AND MY DAY IS RUINED
Another Great Performance well done by my orchestra in the big apple. I recently attended a concert in early November when the Philadelphia Orchestra performed this piece by Grieg , which happens to be among one of my favorite works written by Grieg.
A million shades of awesome!
What an epic acoustic must be in there. Oh man, i would love to attend concert like this in there once in my lifetime.
Omggg, Really beautifull,Thank you, one day i'll visit this beautifull place🥰
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the performance and hope to welcome you to the Hall in the near future.
@@carnegiehall Hii, Thank very much, i'm from Dominican Republic, i'm ballet dancer, and violín student, i really love all of art, one near day i'm going to visit you, Thank you for all🥰
Perfect!!! The fire is born!
Hey there's Jeff on Flute! Loving it!
Technology has evolved so much that we can literally be in the concert hall. Wow
This is a 360° recording camera
Genuinely amazing: the performance, the video, everything!

For me, Carnegie Hall is a dream, so many greats have performed there. I have been blessed with the opportunity to stand where they stood along with my choir, this summer 2016. I'm however in need of help to get there. It's a long shot but if you could check this out: www.gofundme.com/singcarnegiehall and help whichever way you choose that would be great! This is a long shot I know, It's just that when it comes to something I hold dear, I always want to try all avenues possible.
In The Hall of The Mountain King from the Peer Gynt Suite written by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. It was written I think 1875ish or thereabouts.
That moment you realize you’re a viola
Qué bueno poder apreciar cada uno de los músicos a nuestros antojo!!!
Is not awesome the Philadelphia Orchestra? Welcome to the old good times!
годится!
Lmao the closest I’ll ever be to here
おもしろい!驚きました👏This video is so fanny ♪
May I ask what camera is used please? Or Camera's.
+Munro Julian Probably Google Jump(360 degree 16 Go-Pro camera), but I don't know for sure.
I am assuming Don Luzzi on timpani?
POV: I don’t even know what I’m doing here. Fan who got lost?
Does anyone know the 360 camera that they used?!
It sounds really nice when you play it very fast lol
Also 2:42 kinda Voldemort conductor. I think that's what Voldemort would do -w-

So, second most embarrassing moment of my life, anybody wanna hear it? Happened right here at Carnegie Hall. High school band trip to New York. So I'm an oboist, right? I have water to put my reeds in, right? And sometimes unfortunate things happen with said water. See, we went out to the stage for a sound check (thank God this didn't happen during the actual performance), so just to warm up a little bit and see what the stage is like, and what do I do? I'm guessing you've already figured out with my overly-drawn-out and predictable story. So yeah, spilled my reed water on the stage of Carnegie Hall. And the fancy worker people had to go and get a towel to clean it up and luckily I didn't see my teacher's face but I'm pretty sure it wasn't very cheery. But oh my gosh I felt so bad...~:~
this is in a little Einstein video
missing 3d sound only
Júnior Pincelli So true!
Can anyone please tell me what is the name of the music? Thanks! :)
+axxx007xxxz It's Grieg’s “In The Hall of the Mountain King” from Peer Gynt.
Carnegie Hall Thanks! :)

hi people
I am here from parasite Eve
i feel like im watching this from a windows xp 64 this quality is ass
The 360 degrees is great but I actually did not like the interpretation itself
Not advanced enough. Need to be able to walk around in the video. Not just stand there and turn my head around.
Terrible fuzzy image. Others do better than this.
