Alex is like the only person that could be with Meredith after Derek. I mean, MerDer...they are each other’s love of their lives! And when Derek died, Alex was the only one who understood Meredith. They are like BFFS! So if Meredith would have to be with someone else than Derek, I would choose Alex. Not really...romantically, but...he is kinda the closest to Cristina and Derek, you know? He is really necessary there.

This is so beautiful!! I really want them to be together! After Derek, I never thought I would ever be okay with Mer and anyone....But with Alex...I really think it would be the perfect story...They both lost their first love...Mer knows how much Alex loved Izzie and Alex knows that no one can replace Derek in Mer's life...and they're the only ones left from the original cast....they are just so meant to be!
