I think its just the nature of how we hear snare drums and room sound. Snares buzzing gives alot of room definition so they decided to double up on snare noise by putting it on that amp.
Why you just get in passed from a reverb and then to a maximizer(cause you need stay up the volume) to do this??With that Logic X or Pro tools you have there it's so simple!!
@devontodetroit Yes i see that the point is to create a sound image almost perfect without the digital effects but the kind of room naturaly to give a natural result.
