  • Yesterday TTC CLRV #4003 was delivered to our museum, the Halton County Radial Railway!
#4003 was built in 1978 by "Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft" (SIG) in Switzerland.
It was retired in October after 40 years of service. #4003 is now a part of our huge collection of vintage streetcars. Old Toronto streetcar #327 was also brought out for a photoshoot with the recently acquired cars.
Thank you to all our volunteers for getting these streetcars off the delivery trucks and onto the rails on our property.
This video was shot and edited by HCRR volunteer Trevor Parkins-Sciberras.

Beautifully edited video of this delivery. My 3 year old son now wants to watch the "old one" streetcar coming off of the truck every night before bed.

4003 is one of the original CLRV's, who ever works on it make sure you have metric tools. 4010 is the only CLRV that a trip arm installed in the front just below the skirt which when activated caused the car to go into emergency, track brakes drop, sand comes down on the rail, no cradle like the ALRV's have.
