Hello Troy. I am confused about choosing a backpack between Aircontact Lite 50+10 or Futura Air Trek 50+10, which is more comfortable between the two for me to use for activities in nature such as Hiking, Mountenereing and others, For a 5 night trip?
Hi Ge! Comfort is a highly subjective factor in a backpack. The main difference between the Aircontact and Air Trek packs are the backpanels; the Aircontact features the air channel down the center of the back sandwiched between cushion, and the Air Trek has the suspended mesh. Both are designed to be breathable, but personal preference will vary from person to person. Thanks for watching!
Hey Alejo M. Gerosa , thanks for checking in today, the straps of the Futura Air Trek are sure to handle the burliest of loads thanks to ample padding and construction.
Hi Luis, thanks for the question. We would recommend reaching out directly to Deuter for that information, as they don't provide this spec to us. They can be reached at 1(303)652-3102, or by email at info@deuterusa.com
I have a 60 liter kelty and I love the ability to organize, however it is top heavy and lacks features I desire...that's what brings me to deuter...it seems to solve both problems. The question I have is should i go with the 50+10 or the 60+10. I'm leaning 50+10 if the sleeping bag sections are equal in size. My goal is appalachian trail thru hikes...I pack light but not ultra light...I prefer organising and having everything I need.
Great question! If all of your gear fits in the 60 liter pack you already have, than you should be able to get away with the 50+10. Deuter incorporates an "expandable" collar that allows you to use the pack at either 50 liters or 60 liters. So if 60 liters already works for you, this pack will accommodate 60 liters!
The main difference is in the suspension system and backpanel- the Futura packs have a suspended mesh backpanel with some padding along the sides, and the Aircontact Core has two parallel padded panels with an air channel between them. The style is often a personal preference, so we wouldn't say one is better than the other, it depends on an individual's preference.

Are those shoulder straps padded enough to carry the pack heavily filled?

Do you know how much is the maximum weight this pack is designed to carry comfortably?

What is the difference between Deuter Futura backpack and Deuter Aircontact backpack? Which one is better?
