Wish I could wear them. They are so narrow around the midfoot area, even going up a full size it still hurts my arch and heel so bad and then the toe is way too long. Never had that problem with the Accel Slim.
I prefer 808, grippier, sturdier, better heel lock, more snug fit. Downside the toebox is stiffer and thus compresses the front of my foot too much, had to use a shoe stretcher in order to not be painful to wear. both are TTS for me.
The 808 is definitely a more snug fit for sure! Something about the sole being more simplistic too makes it so much better with grip on my opinion as well.
That colorway actually hasn’t dropped yet. The shop showed me the samples when I mentioned the video to compare to the ones that are out now. It was Freedom skate shop
Was wondering which one had more board feel 1010 or 808 I'm starting to like shoes that are more supportive but I still want decent board feel lakai and certain vulcanized shoes hurt my feet too much over time es has been my favorite brand recently for that comfort/boardfeel but I was wanting to try something different like the 1010 if I can get pair on sell I might try them and they feel good
The 808 will be tough to find on sale but the 1010 you should be able to find a few pairs. I’d definitely say give them a shot because it’s one of the few shoes that honestly have enough impact protection and stability on its own which is why I can put that super thin footprint in there.
I’ve been told by a few others too. I like the 1010s better in every way to the point where I don’t really wanna skate the 808s. Hot take, Tiago 1010 is the best New Balance shoe ever made. 👀
Lakais soles are too malleable and thin imo even the Telford which I love the look of them but they also hurt my feet even being a cupsole which I prefer now lol wonder if fp insole would make that shoe brand better
Unfortunately Lakai doesn’t have a shoe currently that matches up to either of Tiagos New Balances. I’m actually working on a video right now with the latest FPs which may actually make a huge difference. So far I really like the way they are skating and everything
My current skateshoe is Lakai Telford but after i switched the insole with FP is totally a game changer, IMO Lakais insoles are aweful and kill your feet
808s are beefy and remind me the shoes I grew up skating in. They are the first modern shoe that compete with ES Accel OGs for me.
Oh I agree! They are such a buff shoe. Maybe the DC lynx and two other models they have could compete too but that’s about it.

You and me both I can't skate modern shoes that much I grew up skating big shoes it's what I'm use to and like

The 808 is also just so much heavier. Their 2 pounds a shoe it felt like I was skating in my flight line boots, I couldn’t adjust too them
Love Tiago, 1010 looks so fresh!
Ikr that colorway is just the chef’s kiss
I like that Tiago 1010. I feel like some flick guard would've convinced me, though.
It does have a flick screen under the suede so I think it’s a go brotha!
Never seen that color way of the 808 what shop did you go to??

@@JaySkateDay oh okay!! Yeah that color way looks great!! Really like the laces!
Thank you

Definitely more board feel on 1010.
@@kirillkolesnikov566 no doubt about it!
I have 808’s and if you want something similar in a cheaper price get the DC “Manteca 4’s” cause those NB# are 120$ retail 💀
I have both, but the 1010s skates better.
I think I have to agree with you there!
Do the 808 please
I honestly just might.
My exp: 1010s skate better and last longer. 808s look better

I would agree haha. I just got 808s but not to skate. My 1010s are still going after 4 months. I tend to bust through material quickly too.
@@mirabal1238 they’re just such a tank of a shoe! Surprisingly the board feel is pretty solid too. Imma get another pair 🤣
