Numenor Lost

Númenor was a kingdom of Men, established on an island that was brought up out of the sea by the Valar in the early Second Age, after the final ruin of Beleriand.
The Downfall of Númenor, also called the Fall or Drowning of Númenor, was the utter destruction of the island of Númenor, a divine punishment by Eru Ilúvatar to the Númenóreans for breaking the Ban of the Valar.
