It's hard to have Tourette's syndrome. I've had it for pretty much my whole life. I'm 14, I got it when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I have anxiety, stress and depression, but I've been fighting it all. I think that whoever has Tourette's syndrome should never stop fighting. And falling a lot is actually a part of this syndrome because I always get hurt.
Ezekiel Vega same. I have Tourettes and I'm always falling and walking into walls
You said it was long, I could watch much more. Thanks for sharing so much Jamie!
Your explanation to kids is so helpful
This series of videos was very informative and I thank you so much for sharing! Be blessed
Thank you so much for all of these videos Jamie. Following your story has been so educational for me about Tourettes and OCD and also anxiety (which I also struggle with quite badly but am not yet diagnosed).... So thank you for getting me through so meant hard times in my life just through your obedience to the Lord in everything that you do. Love ya JG😁💛
Love you too Jamie Grace let's keep fighting

Jamie! I have just discovered these videos! Yes, I have stayed and watched all 3 parts!!! Wow. I am so amazed and encouraged on so many levels....I have a son, age 9, who was just diagnosed earlier this year. I went running for info on how to explain what was going on with his body, and that God didn't make ANY mistakes when He made him, but that this will just make his story so much more exciting to tell. I CANNOT wait to share with him your story..and the interactive way you explained what TS is! Much love, thanks for being so open and willing to inform others....it speaks VOLUMES!!!
Awesome! Awesome word on this topic.. I actually learned a ton.. wow thanks again.
Wow, this has been so educational. I have a friend who has TS, and it's difficult to understand what she's going through. Thank you so much!
Jamie you are so much of an impact , you have all the people in the world singing this song, appreciating life it's cool, your helping old people too, Thank you
Thank you for sharing all 3 of those videos!!! I’m concerned because I’m seeing tics in my toddler. Just trying to learn so I know what to look for. I value what you shared so much! And I love your music and never knew you struggled with TS. You’re an amazing woman ❤️
Love you Jamie your my fav singer
I admire your openness. You are a gift from God. keep being an emblem of grace- you are a living testimony, an inspiration to this generation. I admire you Jamie Grace. Keep on keeping on.
I must say, I 100% wouldn't have known or realised you had Tourette if I hadn't watched this video. There was a guy at my church with Tourette when I was like 11 and his was soooo obvious like it was non-stop and he would suddenly say random words when people were talking and stuff - I found it really difficult to know what to do in those situations esp. coz everyone ignored him but thank you for making this video - it helped me understand everything sooo much more!!
Sabrina Potter I agree.
I love you Jamie! ☺️❤️
I have OCD, ADD, and anxiety, so I can relate to some of your struggles, but I really enjoyed learning more about tourette syndrome in these videos. I think sometimes mental disorders are stigmatized when really we all have something we struggle with because that's a part of being human.
Thank you for addressing the question about the profanity tics. I was wondering about that, and I'm glad that it's pretty rare. But I feel sad for people who have it; that has got to be so frustrating :'(
Thanks for being you, you’re one of the coolest people I know and I’ve never even met you lol :)
there is a book series called "michael vey" by richard paul evans and the main character has TS. it's a really good series, i think you may enjoy it.
ohiobrownie idk I love that series!!!😁😁
yes!! of course we watched it all
You might've already heard this before or something, but I thought I'd mention it just in case. You say you injure yourself easily and I was wondering if you've ever asked your doctor about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It's often a missed diagnosis because not a lot of doctors know about it, so I just thought I'd mention it here jic.
Also, thanks so much for this series! I have pretty severe Tourette's and it always means a lot when people with a bigger platform educate people.
I don’t have TS. But I do have a rare autoimmune disease. It’s called central nervous system Vasculitis. And I have to ware a mask because I have no immune system. This has helped me understand that there are other people that have invisible disorders. That they get stared at too.
Thank you,
Rachael
Hello Jamie,
Thank you for this 3 part video - loved it! Have you tried CBD oil and if so, did it seem to help? We are looking for more TS help and Clonidine and Adderall just don't seem to be doing a good job enough job and also have some horrible side affects.
Thanks. My whole family are huge fans!
John
I have a question: Have you ever hurt someone or broken something with one of your tics? Thanks! Love these helpful videos, Jamie!
Your a great inspiration. Never stop being the blessing God made you to be,
#madeperfectlybyaGodoflove ,❤
Jesus and I love you so much Jamie!
Corpalalia sounds a little similar to echolalia. And hard to say. But thanks for explaining!
WOW!!!! That’s just...Wow!
I have severe anxiety, could you make a video about how you manage your anxiety?
I've been dealing with the since I was 14 and I'm now, 37 and I feel like I going crazy...I wish I can get the mouth piece.i really will be asking my doctor how I go about getting one
OK Jamie, I watched all three videos and I found them so informative. I did have a two part question that you didn't touch on. Is TS genetic and can it be passed from parent to child? Thanks again for your transparency on this.
David Rose I have Tourette's and it is genetic, although a specific gene hasn't been identified. People with Tourette's usually have a family history of either Tourette's or things like OCD, ADHD and anxiety, but some people with Tourette's have no family history.
Snapple and Cats Snapple and Cats Thats true. I'm the only one in my family history with Tourettes. But I have family who had OCD, ADHD, and anxiety, etc..
Thank you both for that bit of info.
💜
If you know you have tics does that mean that you positively have Tourette or another syndrome or can you randomly have them. I don't have them a lot but I know I have them.
How do you edit your videos?
What do you use
I’m going to your concert! Just sayin..
Is it hereditary though? Or does it just happen?
Hey I love you. You are perfect
Actually, could I make a request while we're talking about this? A while ago, I was looking for info about coprolalia and I stumbled on an old video of yours. I hate to hold people accountable for things that happened years ago, but it's still on UA-cam and possibly misinforming people, so I felt the need to mention it. In the video, and I'm paraphrasing ofc, you said something to the effect of, "If you don't want to say certain swear words, you should stop hanging around people who cuss." I have severe coprolalia. Earlier today I saw a gay guy and called him....a certain slur if you catch my drift as an example, but 90%of the people I hang around don't cuss and never anything as bad as my coprolalia would say. The problem is my Tourette's wants to say the most risky or taboo thing possible and I think me not swearing for 6 years before copro and hardly being around people that swear actually makes those words more taboo has made my coprolalia ultimately worse.
So again, I don't want to shame you for a video you made so long ago, but I was wondering if you could possibly take that down and make a new video with better information about coprolalia? Or at least take the previous video down? It would mean a lot to me as someone who deals with coprolalia and copropraxia every day. Thanks!
Oh, I also forgot to say this. It's admittedly a little nitpicky, but coprolalia actually isn't an associated condition, but a type of tic that involves inappropriate language. It actually isn't even all cussing (I'm sure you can think of inappropriate phrases that don't involve swearing). But that's just a little correction. Everything else about this video and your other Tourette's videos and advocacy is wonderful and amazing and I love you. Please don't take this too harshly because you're awesome. Thanks for reading this if you got through it all lol. Also, if you have any questions about coprolalia, I know a TON and I know about a lot of resources, so if you're ever curious, feel free to ask.
Jamie you are out of focus.. Do u focus manually?
I would like to know how bad ticks can get? Like how can they be so painful? Is it because your body contorts?
Normal is a setting on a dryer or a dishwasher. Neurotypical seems boring when the brain is anything but....
