I loved this box! I have those scissors in the blue size. I love them, too. Lori Holt is one of my favorites. I would love to have a pet calf. Thank you for the chance!
Great box! I am a fan of Lori Holt and this is different for her. I agree with you on those scissors. I half three of them in that size. I look forward to watching you every weekday morning! You are a great compliment to coffee! Calf.
LOL, not the whole cow. CALF. I'll give this box a 10. I like the add-ons, the fabric line and the patterns. Happy May Day! Did you let the boys catch you to give you a kiss when you left the may basket? The boys didn't get this concept like us girls did. I loved taking May basket around and setting it by the door, knock , than run. May Day might have been my favorite holiday.
Calf is a great name for this give away! I agree with you about the chalk - it is harder to remove than some other marking tools. Would love that Lori Holt fabric and other things you're giving away.
May Day is always special to me too. Showing my age but we danced around the May pole with ribbon in elementary school, it’s my birth month, and my flowers are blooming. I think a 9 1/2 on this box. I’d love to be entered for the calf. Blessings.
Hi Holly! This box has incredibly gorgeous fabric! I’ll be looking for a FQ bundle of this at the expo in New Orleans this week. It’s a 10 for me. I love the Quilted Cow’s “This or That” concept. I’m glad you kept some of the box contents for yourself. ❤ Happy May Day! 🤗 I just love that little lOMG don’t stop” whine dogs make when you’re doing something they love for them. 🤗
Morning Holly! That really is a fantastic box! I have the next size up of those scissors, with the blue handle. They are fantastic! I'll have to give flatter a try. This box is a 9, and that's only due to personal preference with the fabric/projects. One thing I'll say about Lori Holt, is that she does aquas very well. I don't use much of her fabric, but I'll pull in her aquas when I need that shade.
❤❤❤ I give it a 10. I loved the fabric. I would love a dress out of the red and white. I loved may baskets. Who made the scissors? I have never heard of Flatten. Learn something new every day. Sending love and prayers and hugs to all who need it.
I got to bottle feed a jersey calf on my Great Uncle’s farm while I was a tween. I love all animals. Also-you are so generous. Lori Holt is the only fabric I buy. I can’t afford fabric so I only get a few fat quarters per year. I am saving up enough fabric to make a project using only Lori Holt fabric. Thankfully I know a Quilts of Valor coordinator that brings in batting scrap cut offs and donated fabrics that are not patriotic to our guild. They are scraps but I have enough to keep me busy sewing scrap quilts.
Good morning all! Nice new opening to the video today :-) That's a fine zipper pouch pattern, very pretty. The chalk pencils might be better than they seem; it looked like you were using blue chalk on blue fabric, which would be difficult to see at the best of times. I like that the Flatten was scent-free, as many fragrances (particularly florals) cause my lungs to close up & make breathing difficult. The charm pack has some interesting designs and some lovely colors, too. Overall, it's an excellent box. You definitely get value for the money. I priced the scissors & found them on sale for $27 (normal price was $33) so that's half the cost right there, and then there's all the other items on top of that: pattern, thread, spool cozies, etc. etc. The fabrics are from a reputable company and I presume are of good quality, and I really like the charm pack. I want to say a nine on this one since I don't care for the red floral print & wouldn't use the spool cozies, but I'm so excited about them including a scent-free version of a product that I'm giving it the full 10 out of 10. PS - it's not "cheating us" to keep a couple of the items that *you paid for* for yourself, since you're being very upfront & honest about the fact that you are doing so. Giving away just the baby cow is still incredibly kind & generous.
I love the new opening. In Hawaii today is Lei Day, my birthday, I always had a flower lei when I was little for my birthday. This box is a 9 for me. Fabric and patterns are cute. A lot in the box
The quilted cow on the cover is adorable, I wonder what pattern her calf would be born with. Yeah for May first, hope it will be a great month for you.
CALF -- Box is a 9. I'm not a Lori Holt fan, but I loved the designs in the charm pack, especially the plaids. I'm beginning to be in a plaid phase, for some reason.
Lori Holt is one of my favorites and the calf would be an awesome addition to my to-dos. I’d happily pay the shipping cause I don’t need another pair of scissors and I actually make my own faux flatter.
Not a Lori Holt fan, reminds me of calicos from many years ago before we had so many options. The notions are really great, though. I would give the box a 7. I, also, am a big fan of Flatter and Karen Kay Buckley scissors.
That would make my day to find a bouquet of flowers left on my doorsteps. Someone in the neighborhood left painted rocks at our doorways. It was cute. I have seen cross stitchers use those spool huggers to wrap excess fabric around their hoops. It’s a good box. Cute fabric and notions. So I would give this calf box a 9.5.
What lovely May Day rituals your mother had! I always like the QC box. Lots of useful notions, I appreciate that it arrives at the beginning of the month & that you get a "this or that" option. I'm not a fan of the fabric this time, so I'm skipping the giveaway, but I give the box a 9.
I like that box. It’s a 9 for me. I would like to use Lori Holt’s vintage fabrics from time to time. I can imagine your mother giving your flowers every May Day… it’s a beautiful memory. I hope you’ll have baby time soon and that Dandelion recovers soon. Thank you for sharing.
I'm with you on the Kay Buckley scissors, those are fantastic - all her scissors are great but those little green serrated edged scissors are fantastic. I keep me on an adhesive hook attached to the front of my machine. They are especially good when working with rope for bowls, rugs, bags, etc. I 've never seen them in a box either - don't recall seeing them under $20.00 even if on sale. Oooohhhhhh! Flatter! My favorite of all the pressing liquids - Pineapple Grove and Yuzu are my fav scents. On the cover of the Tacey Tote pattern it looks like they used Sweetwater Company fabrics which looks really cute. Okay, aren't these the same fabrics from the January Sew Sampler box that had the Haberdashery (hat) pattern? If not, they would sure go with pattern also. LOL! Holly you are hysterical! What if I'd like the squiggles? Well, actually my husband likes the squiggles - I told him he can go to dollar tree and bag them in the bag but he prefers to get them out of my subscription boxes. Does Tom not like them for fire pit starters? You know what I find funny - I have to deem if my fabric is "Flatter worthy"! Crazy, right! I use Best Press for the most part and Acorn when I'm doing lots of intricate piecing but man - that Flatter, it has such a wonderful fragrance and really does flatten and crispyfy a seam. Definitely a good box and creative. The only thing I don't have from this box is the fabric - I struggled with the chalk pencils breaking but I'm sure that was me pressing to hard. Oh! I contacted the Soak company a couple of years ago when Flatter hit the market about making gallon bottles/jugs available and was told that it was in the works - 5 or 6 years ago...sooooo, maybe it's because they are in Canada and it's a shipping issue? This was before Covid and I guess that impacted making sure a big container available. Well, those ear scratches made me relax! Hope she is feeling better. This box is a 9 for me.
Calf. What a great box. Love the color palette of the fabric and both of the projects. Happy May Day🎉💐 💐 💐 What a sweet story and memories of your Mom. Thank you for sharing.

Calf. Cute box this month. I’d give it a 9. 💕
I'll start with...calf. I agree with you about those scissors! Perfect. Thanks for sharing.
Calf is a great name for this give away! I agree with you about the chalk - it is harder to remove than some other marking tools. Would love that Lori Holt fabric and other things you're giving away.
You are so generous with the calf box. Great fabric for fall.
Jan
Clever to call it a calf. It is a nice box. I think I would make the tote. Love your channel and a moment of zen
May Day is always special to me too. Showing my age but we danced around the May pole with ribbon in elementary school, it’s my birth month, and my flowers are blooming. I think a 9 1/2 on this box. I’d love to be entered for the calf. Blessings.

I'm definitely interested in the calf and her momma. I give this box a 9.

I love a good calf! You are so generous. I've never used Lori Holt but would really enjoy adding this to some of my own stash for a scrappy look. 😊
❤❤❤ I give it a 10. I loved the fabric. I would love a dress out of the red and white. I loved may baskets. Who made the scissors? I have never heard of Flatten. Learn something new every day. Sending love and prayers and hugs to all who need it.
The scissors are Karen K Buckley. They come in lots of sizes.

I wondered where you came up with the word CALF to use until I realized that it was the Quilted Cow box! Duh!! Very clever. I’d give the box a 10!
Good morning, i am a lori holt fan. CALF!
Calf.....you are just too cute! I really liked that box!
Why not put us all in zen overload and have River and Dandeion together?
Calf. I am a Lori Holt Lover! Thank you for considering 😊
The box is cute and I agree it's a 9. Love the idea of giving away the CALF not the whole cow! Hope you are doing well.
CAFE. I would love a half of a cow
Good morning all! Nice new opening to the video today :-)
