You have true tribute bands who don't prostitute the name Lynyrd Skynyrd...but maybe use a song title for album title or lyrics for their band's names...and they would gladly let you onstage and have a word for the crowd. I have seen a few in the comments. You are a legend....

This shows that Artimus was correct. A money grab and they used Gary which forced him to get sick and die because they would push him out on the road for money. Sad. They did this to Bob burns and Artimus and any other original member to, not allowing them at the shows. Greedy. Expose them who they are? Greedy. You worked with the real band and should be allowed to attend the concert and be mentioned. Ronnie would definitely be disappointed at his two brothers who allowed this to happen. There is ZERO original members in the band now. Johnny don’t claim your carrying the Skynyrd legacy yet you refuse to let any real member come to your shows.

You wanted to show off and challenged me to an ARM-WRESTLING match. I was a 6'4, 220, 30-year-old "Genuvie Virginia" boy. I said what do I get out of it? I wanted backstage passes for me and a couple of my friends. I embarrassed you! Smashing both left and right arms on the table several times. You didn't like getting laughed at....... I did offer to step outside with you. Of course, you looked for your mates to get you out of an ass kicking. Paul the bands manager did give us better tickets 🤪 Even Johnny heard about.

May this tragedy right here be the straw that puts this band on the unemployment line. That a percentage of EVERY SHOW from the tributes beginning til now didt go to the SURVIVORS is imho every bit as tragic as the plane crash itself. Johnny- the lineage is on you BROTHER. Do what’s right.

Well that’s just not right. Craig was not just another roadie that did some work for them. He was long term and close to the members especially the original band. “Do I have a friend” Ronnie’s own words. He knew Craig was his friend and knew he could count on him. When the band formed again years later did not Gary seek out Craig to join them? Asked him something along the lines of - Craig we are putting the band back together….are you with us? And let’s not forget “What’s Your Name”…..does the current band perform that one? Well heck the inspiration for part of that song right there….that should be worth something and would be a fun thing they could introduce that song to the audience with the story. Real missed opportunity by them in my opinion. Unless possibly the word did not make it to Johnny that Craig was there? Just a damn shame. Sorry it happened Craig. You deserved better. Oh by the way are they still using your film footage? Have they offered compensation? If not I would demand it now.
I went to see them in Houston and thought the road mgr was not very nice. I wonder if it has anything to do with helping the rest of us survivors out? Like another comment said “That’s not the real band anyway”. Also, the band probably didnt know about it either. Very weird indeed!
