Got goosebumps from the very start of that one. Very well done. And hats off to Derek Hess who's drumming on those RC albums was extraordinary. I still have the Modern Drummer issue with his interview. The term "underrated" gets thrown around a lot in the musicians realm but it most certainly applies to Derek who, in my humble opinion, was one the best rock drummers of his era.

Great coverage of yet another cool event! Steve Gaines was a spec ial human being who just happened to be a magician on guitar and have a world class singer for his sister. Still missed, both. But Grif, gotta tell ya I think there is hope for your Martin. Gruhn is top of the heap, but I think George might give you the same advice. Send it to Martin. They can tame the action at the bridge. I remember right where i was when we heard about the crash on WLS am from chicago that evening on Oct. 20 '77. They said lynnrd skynnrd and the band Nazareth were in a plane crash. Freaked us out and of course Nazareth wasnt on that plane!😅

That's one person who I would love to see on the stone Roadie show sometime. I listen to the stone Roadie show as much as I can especially when I'm driving my tractor trailer everyday and I have heard a lot of input about the band but I'd sure like to hear some stories from her. She was mighty fine back then and she's still a mighty fine lady
