The last beer I made was with grains I had around the house, I didn't have any beer yeast so I used bread yeast. The beer came out pretty good but was very cloudy so I used some gelatin for clarity and after about 2 weeks sitting in the keg (drinking while sitting of course) it got to a very clear state. Very good beer for having used bread yeast. Last night I thought there was only a pint left but I was able to pull off 5 pints, the keg is going to kick and I am going to be sad about it.

Is there a link for the recipe and proccess? I have tried using bread a few times but was not successful in getting alot of sugars from the bread itself

What effect would using bread made with malted grains have?

I think there was something wrong with either shutter speed, frame rate or frame rate conversion. Or a combination. The image stutters. But the content is on point! Like it!

Yea I accidentally had the shutter at like 1/20 - I blame Ryan.

In my experience the sediment collected from the bottom of the fermenter doesnt make good bread because of the hop bitterness unless maybe you have brewed a weiss or sour ale with minimal IBUs. A top crop could be better maybe? I would still buy a pack of baking yeast or make my own sour dough for the bread snd save the precious beer yeast for the next brew.

I've had kvass and it's always a bit sweet for me. Then I was listening to a video that said hops is added because otherwise it'd be too sweet. Therefore I thought kvass with hops might resemble a dopelboch on the cheap so here I am.

And what about the salt contained in the breads? Isn't it perceived in the taste? Anyway, I think the experiment is valid.
