Hello I have a Bear Valley CSM.I worked the first time I used it.I got 12 sts. Per inc.too tight so I adjusted it a tiny bit now it will noy grab stitches and knit.took it a part looked fine.am using weights but have not finished my soft weights yet.could this be the problem? Thank you. Brenda
@brendapurdum980 Hi Brenda. What yarn are you using? I am not familiar with this CSM, but as a rule of thumb, they only work with fine, fingering, lace, or sock yarn. I used DK yarn, and although it worked, the machine was extremely forced. My machine is metal, so it can withstand more abuse than a plastic one. Another reason might be the kind of yarn. The yarn has to have some elasticity. Fuzzy yarns are harder to work with, as are some types of cotton. I don't use animal fibers, so I stick to acrylic-plant blends. My last piece of advice is that you check each needle to make sure they are not bent or misaligned and make sure that the yarn carrier drops the yarn on each needle before the latches get closed. I made adjustments and loosened attention andmake sure the yarn was a number one Stock yarnsend it has some stretch to it my machine is knitting it beautifully now. so thank you again for all of your help🎉❤
Really? That's great. But my poor floor is a little bit dented now. I dropped the weights a couple of times. Now I have a knitted rug underneath my CSM. 😔

Hi I am using a 20%wool and a stretchy yarn.cant remember.it is a sock yarn.I feel it has to do with weights and tension.I can not get it right.😭
