KITT had 2 foglights most of the time (sometimes on the outside, sometimes more in the muddle) but also had 3 in some episodes... most of the time he also had grillbars in front of the lights so you just hardly see them when they where off.
@@thebandit7408 even in season 2 most of the time he had 2... season 1 had the most times with 3 fog lights and in some recycled scenes it also can be spottet later in season 3 and 4 but need to check this in the krh episode guides
@@Turbochris1980 again not true. Kitt always had 3 sets during season 1 and 2, sometimes the 3rd set had blk over spray on them but always had 3 sets on season 1 and 2
you need to sand the body and wash them before painting and use a primer first, or a primer+paint combo preferably lacquer or acrylic and use lacquer or acrylic gloss and start with mist coats before wet coats.
Nice job on the conversion! But somehow it bugs me that whenever lights are added to toys or models of the old movie and TV cars, bright white LEDs are used, even though halogen headlights in those days would've been more yellow in color.
Not to worry! I’m gonna be doing a modification of this And I will be using warm white I also did a delorean modification that used real incandescent lights inside
Drilled into the four clips underneath. But if you mean at the front for the legs to fit, the speaker is in the way. You'd have to chop Michael's legs!

I dont see why not. If you are using nano less, definitely. YOu may need to cut som of the insides (seat part) but you wouldn't know because it has two layers!
The hardest part are the clips at the bottom. I couldn't get them open, so drilled through them. It all come apart, and goes back together easily after that part is done.
Hello friend, hey I also wanted to do the same job but I have a question, can you tell me which cable you used or do you have a purchase link, I really need to know which cable it is pls
Hey, I salvaged wires from things I had laying around in the end. Just buy some Christmas lights (battery operated). You'll already have the battery compartment then too.
Awesome mods however this version of kitt is made depicting him from season 1 and 2 . Kitt had 3 sets of foglights for season 1 and 2 then in season 3 they went to the dual foglights so this mod isn't correct but nice
@@thebandit7408 The transition occurred already during season 2. They also removed the front grill during this Season. They did these change for not use the pop-up lights and use instead the foglights, since "the pop-up lights ruined the line of the car"
The lights are everything!
This is badass. I modified mine so a reaction figure could sit in it. Couldn’t figure out how to disassemble the whole thing though, only the seats.
This was a very informative video. Thank you for sharing .
Great job.
Absolutely Great 👍
AWESOME Video Dude. 😀👍.

Nit true, after season 2 they went to dual foglights. Kitt didn't have the 3 sets of foglights after season 2

This turned into a Rumble and Frenzy conversation! I keep seeing KITT with 3, so gonna believe my eyes!

painting the led sides with black paint will reduce lights bleeding.
It's more about the hole that the light have in the sides really. If they were closed off, I would have added foil, or silver paint on the insides.

True... I have a 1/6 Delorean from Hot Toys and they also have hideous white leds instead of warm yellow
Not to worry!

I hear ya, but I prefer the look of the blue white compared to the yellow. I did think about it.
You should change one of them to K.A.R.R.!
Someone on her did manage to make the scanner yellow too!
🤗 🔝 😀 🆒 😍
How did you take this apart? I want to cut holes into the floor panels so I can put my 3.75 inch Michael Knight figure inside.

How did you get the car apart?
I drilled in the four spots where the clips are.
@@GreenHad0ken Hi - Did u drill the tabs off completely or a little on the tab to make them looser? I'm irritated trying to get them off.
Like it. I’m doing the same. And trying to make some short videos 😃
Yes I know! No need to rub it in! I will defo make em shorter! 12 mins perhaps?
Anyway, good luck with yours! Send me the link when you're done.

Hello. How did you take off the parts of the car? I am afraid that i will damage it. Did you use a tool kit?

What paint did you use? Great video
Thank you very much. Normal spray paint, and not a great one. If you have one, use an airbrush!

hi , great video
you could have just used a gloss clear coat over the body .
I thought the same, but tested, and it wasn't as nice of a finish!
Whats the name of the led switch?
I just bought a small generic switch. It was from some battery operated Christmas tree lights

It only had two lights, so worked with what I had. But to be honest, I only really remember the three fog lights.
Kitt does have 2 foglights since season 2 actually
@knight3642 actually not, in season 3 they went to 2 sets instead of 3
