I like that you explained the friction hitch on the lateral bar; that explains the wisdom of the knot you're tying. Because of that I now feel a lot more comfortable with friction hitches.
Have been using the saddle hunters hitch a lot through this past hunting season, will start using the jrb hitch now that I’ve learned how to tie it
Nice!! That was one of the best demonstrations on knot tying that I’ve ever seen lol 👍👍. The hitch is pretty cool also, thanks for sharing!
Love it ! Looking forward to employing it, thank you !
That will be a great hitch to rappel on! Looking forward to giving it a try!
I finally got it, took a lot of homework, 8mm resc rech is a little stiffer, took more rope than I thought it would
Quite ingenious!!
Awesome John....love it.
Master Class.
Great video!!!
Capo 😉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
ilove it😃good job👉👍👈
That's a great way to make a tumble hitch more useful. But when using that to rappel, man you better be sure not to get tangled with the releasing end on your way down.
To be clear, especially for anyone else who may read our commentary, the Tumble hitch, highwayman's hitch and painter's hitch are 3 different quick-release hitches which are useful for different applications. This is a different and new knot, but it does incorporate a highwayman's inside of it.
Its highwayman's hitch...
It is not. The highwaymans hitch is clearly tied differently and much less secure. It does incorporate a highwaymans as the trigger.
Austin Txzüż Very nicely done with f. S. J. V. S. M. S. Thankz mį likeZ. Thank you John
