The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one the finest automotive events on the planet - especially since the finest automotive race machinery throughout history can go full speed up the driveway of the Goodwood Estate. And this year, that included both the Ford F-150 Hoonitruck AND the Ford Escort Cossie V2. Hillclimb, rally, friends, and automotive debauchery. What more could you ask for?

As always, I was impressed by Ken's driving skills, but the piano playing at the end, was the best part.
Even the HHIC needs to show class every once in a while
That's actually a pretty accurate representation of what it takes to be a pro race car driver - it's not just getting in there and flooring the sh!t out of a machine, but an infinite amount of well timed minute adjustments, conducting the best performance possible!

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait a second...Ken's also a pianist? Why am I just now learning that one of my favorite drivers is also a musician?
On a more relevant note though, you gotta love the Duke of Richmond. When you see him and you hear that he's one of those people whose addressed almost exclusively by his title, you can't help but get the idea that'd he be the stereotypical, pompous, self important, richer-than-you type of person. Then you quickly realize that he's a quiet, dignified gentleman, whose actually super chill and every year uses his own land to throw what is, in essence, the biggest auto-centric party in the world. Like I said, you gotta love him.

I have not been to the festival of Speed for a few years but I have been more than a half a dozen times. It has to be the best motoring event in the world. If it has an engine it's welcome. Unlike most events, you can get close to the cars and drivers. It should be on the bucket list of any car/bike enthusiast.

Just a cake walk for Ken block. He drives the car as a tamed monster on any terrain.
I grew up just down the road from goodwood, back in the nineties there wasn’t even a lock on the circuit gate, we used to open them and do a couple of laps after going to the pub.
Mid nineties we would head up the hill and race down on longboards.
I went to the first ever festival in 93. Nothing but a couple of straw bales every 20ft. Great weekend.
My mum crashed her original Mini Cooper running through the grounds late one night, before it was resurfaced the drive was lethal when wet.

On Mythbusters Adam Savages new show, "Savage Builds", the 1st episode he made a replica Ironman suit from actual movie drawings but had it 3d printed in Titanium! Was bullet and bomb proof. He attempted to fly with that setup, but the owner of said jet pack ended up flying around the Ironman suit. Defiantly looked badass

Goodwood FoS is the best motor sport event in the world! Who ever it was driving the silver Ferrari 250 swb was *_onnit!_* There was someone last year in a 275 GTB who also wasn't hanging about. Where else in the world would you see such variety.

It's one of my favorite things ever.
One thing that surprises me the most is how short the Gears are for the hoonitruck.
Rally style gears. It's no about the top end, it's all about getting out of corners fast and into the next corner even faster.
Its the best event I have ever had the pleasure of going to. Awesome.
