I hope that Introducing physics into game could potentially open up to allowing new variety of longer hairstyle as well. One of the reason for us only having short hairstyle is the game engine limitation. If they can somehow introduce the cape physics into hair, it could be a huge step up in making the world feel more alive.
The sheer amount of variety in cosmetic overrides already does that. Although it is a clown show with some of the ridiculous stuff there is. But most of the overrides are actually pretty solid and not immersion breaking.
@@Graahk-r8u Exactly. There are some solid cosmetics that enhances the players personality in-game that are compatible within the games lore and design. But then you have stuff like zombie walk animations, rainbow wings, bikinis and umbrellas as weapon overrides and all I can say is 🤡. Makes me just wanna puke Also, the cosmetic pets have also kind of ruined the desire for people to get actual pets from bossing. Why bother trying to get a pet drop from a boss when you can literally buy better looking pets without putting any effort.
I’m a huge sucker for the visual upgrades to the game and the cape physics have definitely peaked my interest! A lot of good individual/small team updates. Just need Jagex as a company to address the elephant in the room (gambling) so RS3 can be a proper game and not a fantasy-themed slot machine simulator.
The farming updates are interesting , and appreciated. I've only touched POF to sell animals my clannie gave me to get the beans for the outfit. I'm level 104 , all allotments , trees, herbs, etc. OSRS style farming I suppose.
I was really hoping to see the ability to have a fourth incense stick active as well as a new type of incense stick with the release of 110 firemaking.
If you’re paying for minor xp buffs in 2025 you’re stupid. Every costume prior has become unlockable in game one way or another. Why would this be any different?

Necromancy has none. No rituals don't count. Elite outfit through Invention.
Those cape physics are going to look really silly on the TokHaar-Kal and Igneous Kal capes. They're supposed to be made of obsidian and molten rock, they shouldn't flap around like light fabric.
Double xp store is not good enough to me to count as a method to obtain the skilling outfit "through gameplay". The currency is for a large part obtained indirectly from MTX-related items, and for the other part by participating in a limited time FOMO promotion. It is inaccessible to ironman, and this is possibly the lowest bar you can imagine to be able to label it as a "accessible through gameplay" item.

I just want the Vorkath fight to be improved. It's so clunky and poorly telegraphed, but I'd really like to grind towards (elite) dracolich. IIRC, they had this on their list months ago and we haven't heard any specifics.
If it is like any other RS3 content it will only work for a few capes and then will not be added to new capes for the future to be another weird addition that only exists for a timeframe
I really want them to introduce mechanics that makes use of the 3d space, most effects in bosses/mobs only use the floors tile system. I know this is a huge ask but man would be it cool to have to look up when doing bosses.
Doubt it would happen anytime soon. The game is only tiles and even worse the tile you see yourself in-game doesn't always match the tile the game calculates for you. So you can take damage from something that isn't even rendered near you. Not even taking into account rubber-banding where the game renders enemies in the wrong spot. That's why there is a runelite plugin that highlights your actual tile in OSRS.
Good to see some possible changes. Two things on my part - if they eill implement the cape physics, please fix a lot of clipping issues with them (for example fire cape clips awkwardly through t80 necro gear) Second - moving the Armadyl tower. Where? The world is full of stuff and such a big structure would be an eye spre if placed incorrectly. Let it stay where it is.
After reading your comment I opened up the game and tried to look for somewhere. You're right, couldn't think of anywhere. But probably where the clan camp is now since that's getting move near the Grand Exchange.
Tbf all regular skilling outfits are literally obtained through some minigame or with some currency. Elite versions through Invention. Rituals are 1 of 2 training methods so it doesn't count. But anyways I'd love if Aura type cosmetics were separated. Like wearing the Devouror aura or the upcoming Super Saiyan 2 aura (GM combat achievement reward I won't be able to get) with something like the Dark Flame Sword and white eye color. Also would love a Player Owned Restaurant or a Player Owned Fishing Port. Unlock Waiko through PoP.

The cape update will never be added to the game before any form of player character update, they would need to rework cape animations if they did that first which will be wasted time in jagex's eyes
Of course I know how important capes are in RuneScape, and everything they stand for But I just think it's funny the combo of thumbnail + title It's a 25y old game and an exciting update for it would be "cape physics improved!!!11!!!1!" 😭😭 with that being said, looking forward to it too

It DID need it but yanille is such a good little city where nothing beyond an ogre threat has ever happened there. Yeah love Farming but other skill are less important extensive like Agility and Firemaking. I want a PoH like update for something like Cooking, Player Owned Restarants or PoP expansion for Fishing on ships.

Contracts and Fort feel like their "solution" to updating construction for the most part. The farming updates could just be more that you do a quest to get beehives, beehive until POF, then POF forever and no other farming plots are really ever touched. I don't disagree that other skills could use some love like Divination not only being trained through caches.
I want them to improve on default interface and menu. if i'm an absolute noob. i'll be really turned off with the interface on pc. they really need to make it more cohesive intuitive.
I still hope for update of dead content like minigames.. horrible loyalty program and hard-to-get skilling auras could be easily in minigame reward shops and that will solve two things in on hit..

The place that needs thw most attention is APE ATOLL🙌🙌🙏 18yrs ago, monkey madness was my favorite quest and ape atoll was a really fun idea but its dead. There are plenty of things we could do to make ape atoll great again with our skills and greegrees in hand💪. Like a Master agility course spanning thw jungle, swinging vine to vine, climbing tree to mountain lol, or cooking some great banana recipes unlocked through an ingredient gathering minigame. Maybe a skilling boss like king kong, and we have to gather bananas to feed him while cutting vines to restrain him till he is full and goes back to sleep for a while. His main drops could be an off hand spatula for cooking bonuses, an off-hand slippery banana peel for agility bonuses, and and off hand bola for hunting bonuses. Sorry lol my ideas can get a little.... bananas 😂
They really need to hire a team or something and go through every bit of content and update it. Ive bene doing all the easy bosses for the pets. Ask me again why it takes hours and hours to get a item that isnt good and only worth 8m or so. Horrible drop rates for those older bosses. Like kbd pet grind was ass. Dag kings atm grind is awful. Rings have a horrible drop rate.

I was just thinking about this while doing the Morytania quests on my GIM recently. I would love it if we could properly restore Burgh de Rott. We have already done so much work around the area and escort people to and from.
