You drug the hot end probably due to a messed up home switch, didn't you have a badly clogged nozzle? Dragging the nozzle causes that. Having a sensor to detect the bed is very handy. The X1C is a very good printer, and top of the line for consumer printer. Look up Stratasys, but they are the price of a car! The plate not moving around is very good as you won't shake the parts off the bed. The ender 3 is a cosplay printer. Only downsides to the Bambu stuff is being 100% proprietary so all parts have to come from them, and you need a network connection for the slicer and some other features to work. There's been talk about adding in a feature to narc on you for gun parts. I didn't think it would do the really high temp plastics without a high temp nozzle and a heated chamber, but IDK for sure. I've rebuilt my printer 3 times over the last 10 years, it's a fun tool to work with and on. I guess this is the 4th time now. You're going to love the upgrade. Burnt the power supply up after 6 months of running, leading to rebuild/upgrade #2.
