I almost always move at least once whenever I camp for more than a single night. Smoke, barking dogs, screeching kids, obnoxious music or television ... we live in a country filled with self-absorbed and / or inconsiderate people that all seem to love NOISE!!
Before GPS we used maps. Whenever I went to somewhere new I would look at the map beforehand and write down all the turns I would have to make on a small piece of paper.
🤣Yup. Thomas Guide for the cities and towns, some Shell or Texaco road map for everything else. My maps stopped at the coastal South. To hot. Too steamy. Too buggy. Much prefer the mountainous West.
Sorry about the incident you saw in town. I'm glad you left. Better safe than sorry. Love the glistening look on you, Elisa. Thanks for sharing...🎥😃👍👌👊🙏🚙🏕❤️❤️❤️
I was a Florida Park Ranger for 11 years. You are quite welcome to go to the Ranger Station and get a different campsite, it happens more often than you might think. Glad to be retired now, I grew tired of tourists being rude because it was the Ranger's fault that it rained on weekends.
Great report. You learn through experience what is good for you, what works and what doesn't. St. Augustine and Savannah are two cities on my bucket list. ✅
I highly recommend heading west to higher elevations. I don't know if you are working on the road but there is a lot of free camping out west and generally decent cell service unless you are way back in a wilderness area. Plus the weather is way more tolerable in summer. Love the content. Come on folks. Give this sweet lady a new sub and thumbs up. She is cool as hell.
if you go west you have to get your brakes looked at first..... then you must use your engine as a brake using your low gears...you put the car in low gear as you go down and let the engine slow you as opposed to the brakes.
@@soloelisa you are sooo Gorgeous!! 😍😍 what do you do for that hair? what is your secret for that flawless skin. do you have a special diet or something...
Really enjoy your simple approach to things and your appreciation to nature . Love how you said leaving the lake free camping for noisy neighbors “ it’s not their fault “ . Awesome stuff Senorita
An observation from something you said, I see a lot of me in your ways. I also like to take a lot of naps when am at home, and in order for me to be productive, I have to leave the house and just evacuate to places where I am not allowed to take naps, like you are now, living on the road, where you are forced to just go go and you would have to really go out of your way to be able to slow down, from this video I am realizing that living on the road, you don't have the option to slow down, from the moment the sun rises, the light hits you in your face, the heat will make it uncomfortable, and you just have to become active even if you don't want to and keep going until sunset. No other option.
Slow down baby don’t get stressed enjoy the freedom that you have don’t sweat the small stuff I have spent some time on the road and things can get to you be careful out there
I sleep in my hybrid Prius often. You can set the temperature you want and the AC runs mostly off the battery with the motor automatically turning on to charge the battery. It uses hardly any gas and it's so quiet I don't notice the motor turning on at night. I'm getting a hybrid rav 4 woodland next, because I need the ground clearance to get off road for privacy. If you buy the Woodland Rav 4 hybrid, it has a regular 120 ac plug so you can plug regular household devices in, like heaters, refrigerators, lamps, hair dryers, etc. Love your channel! 💜
I travel and camp in a Prius too. I travel to different places all around the states and Canada to go mountain biking. The ability to use the AC if too hot and humid is a life saver and reduces stress. I've also looked at the Woodland RAV4 hybrid for the awd and clearance for light off road use and driving in snow. The ability to use120v is really nice too. Hybrids have some nice advantages for traveling/camping /living in. I've been at noisy and smokey camping locations and I just roll up the windows and turn on the Prius and set the AC to a comfortable setting and settled in for the night. Make sure you use the cabin recirculating mode for the AC so it's not pulling air from outside. Works great. Just make sure you have at least 1/4 tank of gas. It doesn't use much gas at all but you want to make sure you don't run out. My Prius gas motor kicks on every 10 minutes for about 45 seconds with the AC set to 70 degrees. So the gas motor is running for less than and hour over an 8 hour course of AC use. You can use heat settings in the winter time and it works in a similar manner.
Have you had any trouble with someone calling the police saying there is a car running? I want to use my hybrid A/C more but I'm worried it would draw attention. Stealth is important because I often have to camp in the city.
I recently hit the road from Florida to North Carolina . I Slept at planet fitness , Cracker Barrel and campgrounds near Boone. There is so much nature , greenery and the people were super friendly. Hope to return in the fall to see the foliage. Getting very tired of the heat and humidity here in Broward county,
I don't know if you know this, but any major truck stop, for around $10 or less you can get a shower. They usually don't ask for who you're driving for, but if they do just remember any truck name you saw it the lot. You can sleep in the car lot. Just find a little cubby hole and you won't even hear the trucks. The store usually has some fruits, sandwiches, and sweet goodies. Trucker health food lol. Their resturaunts are usually costly.
Savannah is gorgeous. I really enjoy your videos and thanks for bringing us along on your adventures. I still can't believe that there are wild monkeys in Florida, but thanks to you,,,,,, now I know!
Will be hard to find those quiet places today that I enjoyed in the past. Follow your instincts. I just watched your final on your van. If ya ever come to Myrtle Beach. Let me know. I have a place you can park, hook up to power and water is available. No charch, if Im not there you are still welcome. One van life to another. Be safe.
Good morning Young Lady, Miss Alisa I miss Savannah and lots of Georgia back roads. While stationed in Georgia I was pulled over by a motorcycle officer who told me to meet him in a parking lot after he got off his shift. I was 21 and had been riding since I was nearly 14 but he taught me how to handle my motorcycles better. He admired my 65 Panhead Electra Glide and we became friends which led to becoming part of his family and learning so much of the Savannah area. When you drove past the old slave sales area all I could think of were the great Mom & Pop restaurants in that area. Lordy I sure do miss those days. I tell you that because even as I traveled the country years later by motorcycle I never let noisy people disturb me. Either we became friendly after I asked them to quiet down or they knew they'd pissed me off and stayed quiet anyway. I am not a big person and since I was blown up I never have regained weight or size. None of that matters when you get out of self and approach people. As a single Dad I miss all the noises my children used to make and my grandchildren have grown out of. BLM lands are where I try to camp but occasionally I go to "biker friendly" campgrounds but as a sober recovering alcoholic these to could potential places of being disturbed if I allow it. I watched your (car organization) video also this morning and I have to say I am impressed! I carry a screened room in my camper for relaxing away from bugs and out of my camper. On the new tent I made for bike camping I have sewn flaps on the sides under an awning for relaxing or working on my bike out of the weather. Someone mentioned carrying a tool roll but unless you wrench and repair like me that would be a waste. Please keep your cooler, whether you use it now or not it will pay for itself just in it's built in abilities. Sometimes we have to spend more to have quality that will last and do it's job to keep us safe and happy. Wishing you safe and enjoyable travels, you are in my prayers Hoka Hey
I recently discovered your channel and I'm enjoying your videos. I live in Canada and I am a retired Engineer who worked as a Project Manager in the Petrochemical and IT industries. I retired in 2018 qand my wife and I purchased a new truck and trailer. We thought that it would be great to travel and see more of the US and Canada, but the quality of the trailer was a bit disappointing and it proved difficult at times trying to book fully serviced campsites. Towing a trailer around was a big inconvenience as well. After a few years, and when Covid arrived, we decided to sell our truck and trailer and luckily we got almost all of our money back. We had a Honda CR-V and we decided to use it for car camping. Actually, it worked out quite well. We didn't actually use many of the features of the trailer, so as long as we had a comfortable bed in the vehicle, we could use our Jackery for power. It wasn't too difficult to find a campsites with good showers and toilet facilities and we didn't need to carry a lot in order to do a little bit of cooking. We purchased a Coleman Instant tent that is very easy to set up and all of this is working really well for us. I was a bit sad when I sold the truck and trailer, but looking back I am convinced that it was the right decision. It allowed us to sort out our needs from our wants and it is very easy for us to get out and enjoy life with a minimal amount of effort.
Awesome you visited Savannah, Ga 🎉. Your salad looked amazing 👍. Thank you for sharing your adventures and I probably would have done the same thing with all the noise.
I’m not far from St Augustine. I can tell you the summer nights are pretty humid making it seem warmer that it actually is, but a 12volt fan is what you need. If I’m boon docking my fan gets me thought the night.
Get a fan for some white noise as well as a bit of moving air. Get a small DC fridge instead of a piezo electric cooler. It will run for over 24 hours without a charge on a 500 watt DC power pac. We have an 18 liter one. We love the water district campgrounds in Florida . Savanna is nice but we like Charleston better. There is nice camping in the National Forest north of town.
If you have the room and the budget a small compressor fridge would be much more suitable for your application. They are way more efficient than the cheap 12V coolers and even with a modest sized portable power station like the Jackery you can run them for way longer before needing to recharge the power station. If you are driving then it will probably just need to be topped up. A portable solar panel would also be a good solution. Another great video and a sub from me 🙂
Wow just found your channel, love your videos. You’re doing great job!! It’s wonderful hearing where you are in Florida, that’s where I grew up!! Thank you for saying you shopped at Publix been working there about 40 years!! ❤️ you be safe
I'm a construction worker that gets sent to construction sites all over the county and when my commute is especially bad, which is often the company makes no effort to send people to sites close to home, I sleep in my car. I've found the best place to camp in the city is a residential street its quiet and safer but you have to be stealthy.
I guess sometimes even the best laid plans have hiccups don't they. I would be remiss if I didn't say I couldn't help but notice I thought to myself, I bet she climbs the stairs just to see what it looks like from up there and sure enough you did it. Hang in there Elisa, there will be better days/adventures ahead. Thanks for taking us along.
I lived in St Augustine for 10 years. I had a house right downtown on Carrera Street what a beautiful place it was to live. That house now is worth $650,000 so you can tell that it's very expensive to live there now but it is beautiful looking down st. George Street. Thank you for the video please be safe and careful much love from Virginia USA
4:58 OMG a baby crying! I would be outta there! 🤣 I wish I ate as healthy as you do. 6:32 I remember using those big fold out maps, decades ago. Or rather, my parents used them. I remember them well though! You have such a good attitude. 9:03 beautiful. Thumbs up!
Really enjoy your video's and the daily encounters that you face living on the road, having travelled across america several times in the early 2000s things have changed and not for the better. We were thinking about coming back to the USA to do another roadie but a reviewing that option in the current climate. Maybe we see more of new Zealand, you stay safe ❤
You have to be on your guard even in nature. I have read horror stories of people camping in nature and some even in their vehicles and they are attacked or worse. Stay safe - stay alert - always have protection with you. Trust no one. There are good places to eat on River Street in Savannah - but I wouldn't eat there at night by myself. I went to school in Savannah every year for 2-4 weeks at a time for 9 years. I like Savannah but stay alert.
I was on that tower in the park last year. Savanna wasn't that bad, as you drive north the next city worth visiting is Charleston and then Washington, DC, you can pretty much skip everything in between.
I am only 45mins away from St Augustine , went to Colonial Oak with free live music, sorry about your stay there an Anastasia is was a lot quieter when i campt out. Savannah Georgia faunten beautiful i think though i would of accidently falling in though lol. From the research ive dien a lot of forest and falls nort west of Georgia and North Carolina. Yes very hot during the day in Florida. Use ti live in Palmetto, Anne Marie island touristy. Yes i agree city can be trying and the forest is peaceful. Still say i have a small blender i take along on trips and make smoothies, i get free ice and then fresh fruit of course what a game changer from the heat, still not use to it. Hey have yiu ever been to the Glades??
Definitely like your content. I have the same vehicle. I am very impressed With all you have set up. My car being a hybrid Rav 4 makes it really nice because at night.Time if it's really hot out I would leav a/c on as it runs on Electricity and engine starts automaticly to charge battery 8 min evers 45min or so @ 68 deggres. This used next too no fuel and is not to disturbing to sleep with! (My fuel usage for last 30k is @ 41mpg ) . My travel are alot of backcontry as I mountainbike alot so car is also all wheel drive which is amazing! I installed a level system and have cloth slide out on one side and 7 gallon fresh water on other as my set up is a Queen size bed or so.😊
Ahhh…I am sad that happened when u were in the historic district! I get why u felt unsafe! I used to live in Georgia and loved going to the HD! The river with the little shops, we would go to Riverside sweets to get candy, they always had yummy samples! The buildings r so pretty, but yes, crime was getting worse over the years!
With the noisy camping neighbors, rough sleeping nights, unpleasant driving in the city, your salad you made seemed to be the pinnacle of your adventure this time 😏😂 but sometimes that’s how life is 😊 thank you for the video 👍
You were in my neck of the woods at St Augustine. I grew up on that beach back when you could drive on it and drink beer all day, have also camped out there back in the 70s. Have also camped at that campground and have a nice Bose speaker for when people are too loud. You should have went to the springs nearby instead of Savannah to cool off. Stay safe!
Are we there yet ? Great video, glad your safe. Your correct, weather is Hot, too hot. Headed to St. Augustine in October, beautiful area plus should be cooler weather. Keep up the good work & have fun. What happened to your music @ the end of your video. Luved it,.. Be safe and keep smiling your Beautiful smile 🌹
Well that was a ride. TWICE!!! Couldn't agree more... stick to the nature side of things. Glad you did get some beautiful moments though. Love the fountain!!! Awaiting the next episode. ~Fritz
The neighbors are sooo rude! I am an avid camper, and on occasion have run across folks like that also. They have no idea how loud they are and rude. They are to all the other campers around them.
I’m 4 months late, but I have a place in Jacksonville, FL. but not many decent areas left there so I can’t recommend but I do know a few peaceful quiet spots.
I’m binge watching your vlogs like I binge watch my favorite Hulu series. When I travel, I wear Bose noise cancelling ear buds and pair with my iPad. I have a white noise app and run the airplane sound. I can’t hear a thing. Might help when you have noisy neighbors.
and if you do come to savannah again I can let you know the best restaurants and campgrounds,,, and the areas to avoid for safety reasons.... wonderful place to see especially spring and fall when it's cooler....
PS along A1A there is outdoor showers, plus some free parks to cook out, yes I agree the trolly ride us kind of pricey. Oh dont forget the free springs in Florida
The only two places east of the Rocky Mountains that I ever really liked was Asheville NC and Key West. But I still found myself comparing these two places to the west coast which for me includes Baja and Baja Sur + Hawaii and Alaska and well I’m just not into the east side of North America
Yes you really are..............and talented at "organizing" your life in the way you can do all the traveling you do. Planning ahead makes all the difference. You are an "empath" and have the ability to do all.
"I'm seriously considering leaving and..." (5 minutes later) 😂 So funny! That didn't take long for you to pack up and leave. Just recently discovered your channel and started Ep. 1 from your humble beginnings and just finished this episode. Luv it. Looking forward to watching your adventures here. Safe travels!!
I feelya on the campgrounds.. to much humanity! My hometown Jville has a lot of interesting places but I really like Savanna, not so much the waterwalk or downtown but outlying areas and there are some great regional places to eat especially if you like bbq or shrimp
Okay, I’m not trying to discourage you in the least, but I’m wondering if you’re going to be able to adjust and enjoy living on the road with all of its challenges. But then again you’re just starting out and you’re getting acclimated to this life style. Oh yeah, what wattage was your Jackery. I know ecoflow is a very promising piece of equipment, and so is an Anker solar powered generator. So if in the future you do get comfortable traveling long distances from your home base, and happen to make on the west coast. I’d be interested to know what you think of the beach’s out here.
I live in my SUV as you do. I use a Goal Zero Yeti 1500X to run all the devices in my car. I have 200 watts of solar on my roof rack, but a 100 watt solar panel would be more than sufficient to run a small to medium sized refrigerator. I have an ICECO GO20 refrigerator that hardly uses any power. If you use your refrigerator off and on throughout the day, meaning turn on your frig 2 hours before you need cold food or a beverage, then turn it off, you will save a lot of electricity. Also turn it off after dinner and turn it off for the nighttime while you're sleeping, you shouldn't have any problems with the frig consuming too much power. Also, plug your frig into the car's cigarette DC outlet from time to time, this will save your Goal Zero, or your Jackery, if you have one. My frig is one of the best on the market. If I run my frig for 2 hours, I can turn it off for 4 hours and the items in the frig stay relatively cold, because the frig is so well insulated. I can go 2 hours on, and 4 hours off all day long, and turn it off for 8 hours at night while I sleep. If you don't have solar, get solar. Also buy a medium sized solar generator, 1000 to 1500 to 2000 watts, and you can also use your car's DC outlet to run your frig at night.
When the neighbors are rude, like that, just go back up to the camp office, explain it to them, and ask for a different site. By the way, we are neighbors. I live in Sebring.
Best to pay and stay at organized campground resorts if touring major cities. They might even have shuttle buses or nearby transit that can take you downtown to historic sights etc. The make up that expense by saving more of your stealth camping for the countryside, especially if free or low cost state campgrounds or BLM land. More restful and less stress.
I almost always move at least once whenever I camp for more than a single night. Smoke, barking dogs, screeching kids, obnoxious music or television ... we live in a country filled with self-absorbed and / or inconsiderate people that all seem to love NOISE!!
I only go camping we’re there is no people that’s the point. But some people are afraid to camp or be alone so they camp on top of each other.
Hey from Dubai, glad to see your vlogs ❤🎉
To the rest of the world your country IS noise!
Don't forget entitlement!
Really good earplugs are an essential part of camping when you come across the self absorbed. You can shut the world off.
Before GPS we used maps. Whenever I went to somewhere new I would look at the map beforehand and write down all the turns I would have to make on a small piece of paper.
I'm glad that those days are gone 🙂

I am finding all of your videos very informative. You also seem to be super organized. Cute too.
Be careful out there .
I was born in Savannah, but moved from there at six months old. Hope to visit my birthplace one day. Thanks for the snip bits of Savannah 👍👍
You are living my dream. Thank you for letting me experience this thru your eyes.
I installed a level system and have cloth slide out on one side and 7 gallon fresh water on other as my set up is a Queen size bed or so.😊
Beautiful! Love watching your adventures! Looks like fun!
My jackery 240 did great in winter and shoulder season trips but definitely needed mid day charging in the summer for my small fridge
I am car camping, in Florida, this summer. Thank You! ❤
Hi that camp group would have done me to, glad you got back to where your comfortable. Looking forward to the nxt. Stay safe 😉
I agree with you Savanna GA is not all that, the city is cool but dangerous at night, and sometime in the day time. Stay safe out there.
In New Mexico I head to the mountains and within a hour I’m in a peaceful setting by a river.
You need to come here to San Diego area. The weather is perfect all year and it’s not humid like Florida. Hope to see you here soon.
All caught up! thanks for sharing !
Super inspiring lifestyle. Thank you for the ideas, from Morocco
Really , really enjoy listening to you !
Please be careful !!
I have been to St Augustine,I had a great time, boating ,jogging and dining
I’m 4 months late, but I have a place in Jacksonville, FL. but not many decent areas left there so I can’t recommend but I do know a few peaceful quiet spots.
I love Cracker Barrel. I envy your adventures. I enjoy your videos.
I used to live in St. Augustine by the fountain of youth. Nice visit.
Forgot to go by the river on the other side ….South Carolina side ….there were some nice parking spots back in the day ….lol
Welcome to Saint Augustine, my city. Hope you enjoyed your stay. ❤
Wow, what a great video. It's unfortunate you have to deal with noisy neighbors.
Be careful beautiful one...but stop to smile every now and then too. You got this.
I lived in Savannah once. I don’t know what it is but I do believe it is hotter than Florida.
Watching this from San Diego now. Spent the day at wind and sea beach....amazing!! Come out west....you will love it!! Timmy C Arizona
Have you been to the upper peninsula in Michigan?
Very beautiful in July/August
My middle daughter is a pharmacist from purdue!!!!!!! love your channel!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS along A1A there is outdoor showers, plus some free parks to cook out, yes I agree the trolly ride us kind of pricey. Oh dont forget the free springs in Florida
A1A south of st Augustine
You got me laughing so hard just on your facial expressions when the people yelling next to you it is so funny
Come on up to the Carolinas, I'm in NC , you'll luv it here.
SC Beach nice, NC Beach are the best.
Kool Runnings, Peace b the Journey
Come out to Maui. I be been car camping most of the year. I plan on making it to the Gulf at some point 🤙🏾
The only two places east of the Rocky Mountains that I ever really liked was Asheville NC and Key West. But I still found myself comparing these two places to the west coast which for me includes Baja and Baja Sur + Hawaii and Alaska and well I’m just not into the east side of North America
It is a wonder "full" thing you also have a "home base", somewhere you can return too after a long journey. A+
Yes it really is. I’m lucky
Yes you really are..............and talented at "organizing" your life in the way you can do all the traveling you do. Planning ahead makes all the difference. You are an "empath" and have the ability to do all.
You are so down to earth and gorgeous. Keep making travel content and all best of wishes on your future journeys.
Another Great Video 👍 Great content, keep up the great work!
Fuerza y empuje!
Awesome videos thank u 4 taking us on your adventures.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Savannah has a mixture of heat and humidity that makes it one of the most unpleasant places I've ever visited.
Before GPS we had Road Atlas's. I still carry one with me,
😮😮😮....I love the contrast from city to jungle, that thing with the woman sounds scary😮, at least you safe thank you for another awesome video 👏👏👏
When the neighbors are rude, like that, just go back up to the camp office, explain it to them, and ask for a different site. By the way, we are neighbors. I live in Sebring.
I hear you on the naps..lol
It's the whole reason I rent my house in the summer..
It was the best idea..
Your amazing
Best to pay and stay at organized campground resorts if touring major cities. They might even have shuttle buses or nearby transit that can take you downtown to historic sights etc. The make up that expense by saving more of your stealth camping for the countryside, especially if free or low cost state campgrounds or BLM land. More restful and less stress.
Check out nice hotels to parked & with 24hr surveillance, well lit parking lot & you can use their bathroom
Thank You my Dear 😊😘 have a wonderful day 😊
I love a nap on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon
Very cool, travel alone I wish I could have been there with you.
Hi darling get yourself some earplugs they block out about 70% of noise
Ft Myers was 97 degrees today with 50percent humidity. Hottest summer on record.
That’s crazy. Glad I’m not there
I’m in love……again! That voice!
