the flamethrower even with all buffs is a 1 trick pony, and that trick is killing chargers... literally every other enemy a MG is far superior because everything is within spitting distance when your flaming
It works fine if you're wearing a scout armor. I find that the enemies will be less likely to attack you, and more likely to attack your teammates.
So you can use your teammates as bait in that regard.
I like using it when flanking hordes or to deny access through chokepoints.
Aim for the chargers leg as you'll cook it far faster than aiming at the face/head.
How do you prefer your chargers to be cooked?
Ya I figured that way to late haha
@MradventurEPL medium!
@@MradventurEPL to ashes :)
The flamethrower really didnt need the ship module buff i ain't gonna lie, 50% DoT buff -> 50% more fire DoT buff and then the 25% dmg buff from the module. It's kinda stupid, there are other support weapons that need buffs way more than the Flamethrower.
The module buff to the Eagle Napalm though, is much more welcomed.
Agreed!
They admitted that the massive fire buff was over-tuned because of the damage over time bug.
@@CallMeOnion Did they actually? When? I don't see anything on the discord. After the T4 ship module additions or the 50% extra fire DoT buff to all fire damage instances? Either way, whatever the case, I hope they do sth about it.

Not the best way to get this info across in my opinion
@@CallMeOnion i think i might have heard about the whole fire DoT rework, mostly cuz of the Hulk Scorcher. But honestly idk what this'll ultimately mean, cuz IF this is basically making the Flamethrower even BETTER, then that's kinda bad in my book.
Cuz balance-wise, the potential to cause self-dmg is kinda the only thing keeping it from being COMPLETELY broken :|, despite already being kinda is.
