I don't get why there isn't just a jump button. I don't even think the B/O button on the controller even gets used, autoclimb needs to go away and they need a separate interaction button from the jump/climb button.
You can turn off auto climb in the options menu. It isn't in the keybindings, but it's definitely there. I turned it off after my second game when I kept climbing onto resupply drops.
Most Effective way ive found to do this map is splitting with a 2-2 team , 2 people running around doing the samples , 2 people doing the mission. If your sample collecting , best to run railcannon , 500kg , arc thrower and either cluster , napalm , shield , jump pack , laser orbital or eagle airstrike. I would also use light armor as you run faster and can move around the map with ease and speed
in multiplayer you should just have 1 person on the objective and the rest of the team running around for samples. The breaches spawn randomly nearby players, so if all players stay in the base then it's actually really hard to save the personnel with infinite bugs coming in. This way you can sweep the entire map and still complete the mission. As the person on the objective, bring an EMS mortar, try to place it on a good highground that chargers can't reach, and use whatever else you prefer to quickly mow down the breaches you do get. Other sentries can work but they tend to die quickly unless very well placed. Just run in a triangle pressing the buttons until bugs inevitably show up and try to fend them off. If you do die, it's not a big deal. While another player spawns you and you run back it's likely all the bugs will have already despawned.

Stun Grenades, EMS Mortar, Stealth armor. IF you get absolutely swarmed at a good rare sample poi.....run away far enough and they'll despawn or get stuck somewhere else and you can circle back. The rest of my Strategems are flexible, if playing on higher difficulty, I bring Orbital Rail and Laser to wipe chargers off of spots that I want stuff from. Orbital Gas can help mop up trash mobs...get everythign chasing you then drop it. If 7 is too much on mobs for you, 4 and 5 isn't bad, still better amount than normal maps. Brood Commanders and The occasional Charger are the only problems if you can wipe Hunters.
if you have time enough to look at the map, you can move the cursor over empty areas and it will say there's a point of interest if you hover over it. you might need a scout type armour though.
I would not recommend using the arc thrower (or any arc weapon/turret) at this time. You'll have a high probability of crashing yourself and/or others in the mission. After the last patch my group experienced an obscene number of crashes, but after we stopped using those weapons the next day, so did the crashes.
If there is an elevated rock you can get on top with the jump pack and lay down the enemys will enter the extraction point when the beacon lands they will pass through then leave. Dont it multiple times always works if your high enough
It's sooo much easier to do this with a full group, 3 players look for samples.. that's right 3 PLAYERS LOOK FOR SAMPLES and one player completes the main objective. Can finish in under 5 mins
Yeah I tried this last night and didn't get NEARLY as many, although my map sucked with a huge lake that I had to go around. I did get the 3 Super Samples though which was mainly what I was after.
Echoing what someone else said, one of my most violent losses was on a scientist extraction mission. I was constantly surrounded and could not even code in a stratagem.
You can get more than the maximum because the maximum samples is how many samples are on the map. Loot caches that have samples in them I guess are rolled upon opening them, so they dont really count to the total until you collect them
Does the armor you wear have some sort of a speed perk? I usually go light, but you seem to be zooming quite a bit :o I guess this mission mode isn't available now, as I didn't find it, but thanks for the example of how to do stuff solo... Dunno if I'd be up for it, I tend to get swarmed often. Then again, the jump pack would help!
for those who don't like farming, belive me: if you play the game and just have fun with your friends (or nice randos), you will end up like me: maxed out samples, can't spend it on anything. So, don't get discouraged by the number of samples you need now, you will eventually run out of things to unlock if the devs don't push out content sooner
Wow, 39 common samples and 3 super rare samples in this map! The only thing though, I can no longer find the 15 minute evacuation mission in any planets, not in any difficulty. I wonder if it is a PS5 thing.
Its random . There are 2 missions . The fast one is rescue essential personal (the scientists) . It alternates with the rescue civilians - which has big map and 40 min timer. Try changing the difficulty and see if you have it on any of them I quess
Awesome stuff. Would be really interested to know more about your approach to minimap keybinds, as I haven't managed to settle on something that I'm happy with to allow map browsing and waypoint setting while also maneuvering my character. Has this been covered in another video perhaps?
I recommend using a thumb mouse button (4) and setting it to "hold". I use (5) to dive and middle mouse (3) for instant grenade, hope that helps. Learnt this through playing a lot of Evolve which is quite similar in this way
The one POIs thats always STACKED for me is the jet/plane crash with that little crater on the side with the red fuel tanks. My record is 11 rares in that little hole lol
Terrain negotiation is probs the thing that needs the most work in Helldivers, I've had rocks higher than than my head they'll leap grab and get up on, meanwhile there's bits where it comes up to my thigh/waist that they'll get stuck on.
Which armor are you using ? Your stamina gauge is so big!! I tried but I couldn't survive... too many bugs, not enough stamina to run and the flying bugs attacking me... Maybe I did the wrong mission because it had 2 previous objectives prior to save the scientists
I have been doing a few of these missions just leaving the group to do their objectives, finding a number of players just tell me to take my time and don't die.
If doing this it would be good idea to activate the sample counter to show at all times. It shows you how many are possible on the map. Then you are going to be making informed decisions too about what you want to hunt for.
i know this is a "solo" method, but ive run this multiple times with a squad of 2 or 3 and its the best way to make sure you hit EVERY poi, and net 30-50 supercreds depending on your RNG. Also, it means you dont have to pass on the 2 person bunkers
Autoclimb is brutal! Especially when trying to run up on a supply drop mid battle. Nothing worse than going for a measly high ground instead of rearming.
I’m basically fully upgraded and capped out on samples and requisitions at this point, I still make an effort to collect them for the other divers though, gotta have something to do.
Was this patched? All the evacuate missions I can do now are only the super long one or on a much smaller map with only a few common samples + whatever super samples the difficulty is.
Samples you get out of containers aren’t part of the total possible when you open up your map. So if you got them out of there you can get more than the total on the map
They must have changed this or the map layouts just aren’t the same on Oshaune. I succeeded but there were only 4 places of interest, and only one had a single rare sample. I extracted with 5 commons, 1 rare, and 3 supers.
I didn't know you could still emergency extract if you failed the mission . . . I think that pelican pilot needs to be fired for picking up some undemocratic individuals. Also didn't know arc rifles could open containers, that will be good knowledge once they fix the crashing with it.
When we do the evacuation missions 2 of the squad just split around the map and the remaining 2 just go on and off the mission area to draw the breach away from the citizens and this is the best way to collect samples while doing the evacuation missions
How are you able to pick them up so fast? For me it takes about 2 seconds to p[ick up 1 sample. Like it plays an animation and until its done picking 1 up I cant get another one.

@@evanpotter860 Oh no, that sounds awful... they gotta fix that!
same.@@evanpotter860
@@evanpotter860 lol this was also my very first mission. I actually landed quite a ways away from the objective and didn’t even realise that it would take me a long while to evacuate everyone but the mission was so hard I ended up dying anyway lol
Ty so much! I've been doing exacly this on Fori Prime which is currently under attack!
Can finish in under 5 mins
if you play with a 4 man, we have 3 people go look or samples and 1 on OBJ its super easy to escort as there are no bugs around the one on OBJ
You're a brave man for playing with arc weapons right now
it's crazy how efficient you are at this 😭I just tried this an only got 18 samples on the same difficulty. it's still a little harder than it looks.
Yeah I tried this last night and didn't get NEARLY as many, although my map sucked with a huge lake that I had to go around. I did get the 3 Super Samples though which was mainly what I was after.
thanks for the w content broooo keep it going
Wow. Amazing video. I've been looking for a place to get a lot of rares. Thank you for info.
I usually go light, but you seem to be zooming quite a bit :o
I guess this mission mode isn't available now, as I didn't find it, but thanks for the example of how to do stuff solo... Dunno if I'd be up for it, I tend to get swarmed often. Then again, the jump pack would help!
9:00 You can disable autoclimb in the setting
I'm already maxxed out on samples/credits. But I didn't know about this! Will definitely keep it in mind should I need any in the future!
for those who don't like farming, belive me: if you play the game and just have fun with your friends (or nice randos), you will end up like me: maxed out samples, can't spend it on anything. So, don't get discouraged by the number of samples you need now, you will eventually run out of things to unlock if the devs don't push out content sooner
hot take, common samples are more valuable than rare, bc no one plays bottom difficulties so supply is close but demand is way higher.
Nice! Thx a lot for the video...will try :)
"Let's go to the floating testicle" hah, my friend group calls it the Radioactive Buttplug. xD
Just start an operation and then abandon it in the ESC menu while on a mission.
Awesome stuff. Would be really interested to know more about your approach to minimap keybinds, as I haven't managed to settle on something that I'm happy with to allow map browsing and waypoint setting while also maneuvering my character. Has this been covered in another video perhaps?
99.998% of people know how to do this without any help, do you feel stupid?
@@raaka3630 Man, I am sorry that I upset you so much. Hope your day improves.
@@dersunde I was drunk, now I feel bad :(
I recommend using a thumb mouse button (4) and setting it to "hold". I use (5) to dive and middle mouse (3) for instant grenade, hope that helps. Learnt this through playing a lot of Evolve which is quite similar in this way
I feel like you're going a lot faster than I am running in a straight line.
light armor and high FOV
9:00 yep, I absolutely despise auto climb too.
Nice, except any arc effect currently will eventually crash or freeze pc users and squadmates, hopefully it gets fixed soon.
I got more gameplay tips from this video versus 3 beginner guides! Wow
The one POIs thats always STACKED for me is the jet/plane crash with that little crater on the side with the red fuel tanks. My record is 11 rares in that little hole lol
Incredible how they patch things out so damn soon
Terrain negotiation is probs the thing that needs the most work in Helldivers, I've had rocks higher than than my head they'll leap grab and get up on, meanwhile there's bits where it comes up to my thigh/waist that they'll get stuck on.
I had no idea the arc thrower blows open container doors. Shit is ridiculous.
Super smooth 😮
Does this still work after the April 9th update?
Which armor are you using ? Your stamina gauge is so big!! I tried but I couldn't survive... too many bugs, not enough stamina to run and the flying bugs attacking me... Maybe I did the wrong mission because it had 2 previous objectives prior to save the scientists
I have been doing a few of these missions just leaving the group to do their objectives, finding a number of players just tell me to take my time and don't die.
If doing this it would be good idea to activate the sample counter to show at all times. It shows you how many are possible on the map. Then you are going to be making informed decisions too about what you want to hunt for.
2:12 honestly Helldivers 2 in a nutshell.
The Slugger can also open the containers
i know this is a "solo" method, but ive run this multiple times with a squad of 2 or 3 and its the best way to make sure you hit EVERY poi, and net 30-50 supercreds depending on your RNG. Also, it means you dont have to pass on the 2 person bunkers
9:15
Nah, not just you. It's that and going off of a small rock and getting bumped out of being prone that gets me a lot.
I hate the defense missions for automatons. If we lose the planet I try to take it back with a fiery passion.
Same, fully upgraded and playing for the love of the game. Still gotta get those samples. FOR DEMOCRACY!
0:54
My brother in democracy, what?
Another tip is to stim when you are about to die.
This looks to have been patched as of today. The same mission type he did is now on the small defense sized map. Now only has 10 common samples or so
nice! thanks for the video =)
I need to find players like this. All I get is people doing the main part and leaving. While I’m out collecting.
@05:00 IIRC hidden containers and garages don't prevent the transformation from gem to the sims diamond
Or maybe im wrong...
Was this patched? All the evacuate missions I can do now are only the super long one or on a much smaller map with only a few common samples + whatever super samples the difficulty is.
Samples you get out of containers aren’t part of the total possible when you open up your map. So if you got them out of there you can get more than the total on the map
Incredible tip !
Ok that was the smartest thing I’ve seen lol I have 100 hours in game and I’ve never thought of that lol
They must have changed this or the map layouts just aren’t the same on Oshaune. I succeeded but there were only 4 places of interest, and only one had a single rare sample. I extracted with 5 commons, 1 rare, and 3 supers.
hwtf are you NOT capped out on everything already...what skulldawgery is going on here
solo playing on helldive probably hasn't been extracting often. If you play the game 'normally' you will have maxed out modules by level 50.
solo helldive definitely makes extracting a privilege.
love your videos, and would love to use arc thrower if it wasn't constantly causing the game to crash. best weapon is crash gating the game
I did that yesterday i only got 16 and almost needed all the time of the mission
How are you able to pick them up so fast? For me it takes about 2 seconds to p[ick up 1 sample. Like it plays an animation and until its done picking 1 up I cant get another one.
No way, actual player with an arc thrower!
