Recognizable, we also had like a walk planned at our meetup, but eventually got so engrossed in conversation, we never left the house. Conversing with good companionship is one of the most beautiful gifts to receive. Now lets listen to how this protestant boy gets utterly destroyed.
Mishnah Avot 3:13. I think you would really like the Mishnah Avot. At least some parts. Some parts you won't like so much. LOL. It is often titled "Sayings of the Fathers" in English. It is believed to be the oldest part of the Mishnah and Jesus seems to be quoting at least some of it.
@@faturechi I am getting to the point that I realize I need to engage with Judaism a lot more. Not that I thought it had nothing to offer, but for some time I couldn’t see how it was connected to my own thought, but, oh boy! is it connected.
@@shari6063 As much as I disagree with and criticize Father Stephen, he knows his stuff. He knows Judaism much better than many people who walk around calling themselves Rabbis.
@@faturechi it such an amazing description. It reminds me of some people who when they smell something they see a color attached to it or when they hear something they smell something. It’s like all the senses are engaged at once and the interplay is so intense that it is actually experienced in something that sounds paradoxical.
I would love to be able to go to a meet up! Just not sure about international travel………….Covid regulations for me, and now there is talk of not letting unvaccinated people into the States. 😢
I so agree with Jacob about getting the lurkers to come out of the woodwork. I have had the same sense that they probably have some rich insights that we are missing on the Discord.
Having a religion that is not a religion, is like having a marriage that is not a marriage, or having a dog that is not a dog, or having a hamburger that is not a hamburger. It is the highest form of self deception, which is what Vervaeke is so desperate to avoid……ironically.
1:39:30 “an individual human is not a viable life form” yep. That’s personalism. Or trinitarian panentheism. 😘😜 There is no such being or thing as an “autonomous, isolated individual” or an autonomous, isolated *anything*.
Ummmm. Except obviously G-d who is perfect and One. I don't understand this supposed "Trinitarian" argument. If G-d loves Himself, then He is some sort of narcissist.
@@WhiteStoneName You and your koans.... It's okay Luke. You can trust G-d enough to believe that He reveals Himself in comprehensible ways. We are commanded to know Him.
Thanks, guys. Loved it. Not surprising as I really like both of you.
Just loved this conversation so much, thank you Jacob and Jeff. 🤗

Being quiet is a fence for wisdom. ❤️❤️❤️ I love this.

Seeing the voices! 🥰
Exodus 20:18. A lot of the translations don't translate it literally. The Hebrew says, "all the people saw the voices."

let me know if you do a part two to the fishing trip, I gotta come!
We are definitely planning one for next year. It is most likely going to be on July 4th weekend and most likely in the Chicago area.
I love my prayer book Jacob. ❤️
I thought we didn’t fish because $20 is $20
LOL
Love that story Jeff about Jesus saying, Hey invite me in. God is so much like that.

18:24 is this me? I wanted to!
No. Someone ELSE who flaked.
38:30 Exodus 90 is more like Orthodox Lent 😜 (which I don’t do).
I agree with your wife Jeff! You don’t do yourself justice.

19:54 also because I wasn’t there.
5:15 someone like Luke maybe.
18:12 you’ve got to be kiddushing. (u or i?)
Usually transliterated kiddush.

I want to be like “stupid click bate title” but then I click on it to write comments about it being stupid, so success i guess
It's become a little joke. It's less boring than "ConverZation with JeffP."
Why did Jeff pick the message? That’s the worst translation ::tongue out::
Haven’t listened. Jacob loses. Heel grabber!
Jeff doth protest too little
