I Worked as a teacher for almost 20 years and got very tired of the union spewed bullying us into voting for their party of choice. I was the ATA school rep for a number of different schools where I worked and regularly attended monthly meetings. Always the same whining about class size and concerns about how those bigger classes affect workload.... I expect to get flack over that last statement and I don’t care. I’ve lived with my husband who works in the private sector where job security is non existent. He’s been laid off at least 3 times over our 26 years of marriage and then lost another job because the company went bankrupt. He’s re invented himself a few times. In 2015 he was laid off and it took 2years to the day to find another. He now works 3 days a week and our household income is better than it was for those two years but we are at a 60% loss. Unionized teachers and other health care workers in this province should be more empathetic towards the very people they teach and care for as many are struggling to pay their bills. This house has little sympathy.

There is only one solution for our problems. Have volunteers do the work and give the money to oil companies. Taxes should be used for government private jet trips, hotel bills and studies of how to do more of the same.
