    This is a great layout! Love the details like trash and an open cardboard box along the tracks. Vary well done! Thank you for sharing. :)

      Thanks! If you care to know, I made those boxes from brown paper lunch bags. Cut them into a plus sign, fold up the plus around the middle, then smash it up a bit.

    Very nice view of the layout. I really like all the track side details you added, the scenic work around track adds to the feel of a real train ride. My favorite part is coming into the towering structures and the “canyon view” you created, lots of details again, the trash is nice touch, well done!

    Very nice. I saw a couple of classic 1963 Thunderbirds on your layout.

    Great video, really like cab rides like this, and the dog sounds were amazingly realistic 😂

    This shows off the great track work, as well as reminding me why we detail the BACKS of the buildings as well as the fronts. Love all the details and 'junk' strewn about the trackside. Thanks for the ride-along, John, it looks great!

    Nice video of a fine layout. This video helps me locate the "where are we" of some of the switching videos. Your layout really does well of sticking to its theme. The layout also looks fun to operate. Thnks for sharing and inspiring.

    I've got to say certain parts of this especially along the elevator as well as the scene with the storefronts I sure felt like I was actually on a locomotive because the realism is so close. Excellent job for taking the time to detail this Unique Piece of railroading

    Clever perspective to view your layout. As a kid at family events, I would say I saw Ballantine, Rheingold (grandfather's favorite), Piels, Schaeffer's, Schlitz, and of course Pabst Blue Ribbon.

    Considering there aren't many times you would run a camera along the Railroad, there are a lot of areas with details- weeds, pallets etc, that one wouldn't normally see 👍
    Your camera car ran beautifully, a credit to your great track laying 👍👍

    I would reccommend that you put in a turntable to turn your engines around, so you don't have to by hand. Good luck with the layout.

      It's a GoPro Session, kind of old as far as things like that go. My son commented after seeing this that I ought to invest in an updated one. Lol...easy for him to say.

    Finally figured out the way the long passing siding (by the big window) works. Does the power cut off on the main and head into the “powerhouse track” and back up around the train to shove the train (most of it) to the end?

    • @beerlinemodeler
      @beerlinemodeler  Рік тому

      Most of the time, yes. It’s also a run around for the Pabst crew so they can start switching. Plus a meeting place.

  • @manhattanterminalrailroadh9776

    Such great fun to see the Beer Line from that perspective! I love the scenes and details behind the structures. How many linear feet is it from one end of the line to the other?

    They let the dog be in the locomotive? I would think that’s a big safety problem. 😅
