Thanks Gayle for another great tutorial. I'm on catch up with all my favourite gals. Hey people what's there not to like about this very informative and educational video? I'm loving this series as it takes all the mystery out of how to create a professional product. Thank you again
“Badda Bing Badda Boom!!!” 😂. You’re such a beautiful soul Gayle! This is exactly what I needed. I’ve got so much paper and envelopes now that I just bought and accumulated since I just started junk journaling to use, so journal covers it is. I love the faux brown leather cover. I wanted to make one for my hubby and didn’t know how to do faux leather, but I do now 😊. Thanks so much for an incredible video! ❤
Another great video. Just love listening to you. I’m learning so much. Makes me excited to try all these things. I have been dying paper in the container. Using plain paper and thin paper with 70’s designs on them. Tones them down a bit. It does take some time to dry but I spread them out on my porch, as soon as I can get them apart. Had some interesting results. Take care and enjoy your visit with your son.
I used one of these large envelopes. I covered it in fabric. To date it is my prettiest cover. This envelope makes a nice cover soft yet sturdy. Im going to get a few more at DT. My first was in the mail. Love the faux leather. Thank you for this Gayle.
Thanks Gayle for this video. I too, appreciate the new ideas. You crack me up. Go see Spiderman! He's such a cute Spiderman! I love me some marvel movies too! You are indeed a kindred spirit!! Thanks so much for all you do! I start everyday with my Gayle videos!! Love it!!
Thank you so much Gayle. I have been watching your series and I have just given my first journal made from a Readers Digest to my best friend for her birthday. Happy birthday to you. Mine was on the first. I especially loved your craft room tour. You make beautiful journals and you do it in a small space. It gives me hope because my room is in transition.
I made one for a Christmas Journal, used brown packing paper and used a gel stain on the wrinkles. I also mix gel stain and water in a small spray bottle, spray on papers, comes out nice. I agree it does make a nice base for a Journal, great tutorial. I like the antique look and this does it. I also added a hit of a gold tone to it, used acrylic paint. I wrinkled my paper first, I didn’t want to tear it, love the floral tissue paper. I’m doing more tea dying papers, using coffee to make rings on the paper, watched Eve’s video where she did a ton of papers and sun dried them. Lucky my garage is hot enough. 👍🌻🌻🌻
My very first journal cover was the faux leather on the 9 by 12 envelope you did a few years ago. I used Tim Holtz tissue paper and the brown stain. This brings back so many memories when I was learning how to make journals and following you Gayle, step by step!!!
I learn so much from you, Gayle. I love your artistry and your teaching style! This cover series is great - and this particular cover is simply brilliant. Thank you so much! Blessings!
As always you are a good teacher! You make it easy enough for newbies to understand and interesting enough by throwing in ideas for those that have been doing it for awhile. Great job! Loving the envelope covers. 🦋❤️
I love the faux leather journal, it’s one of my favorites to make. I wrinkle up my paper a little first before laying it down, it helps get more wrinkles when you scrunch it.
Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic idea, I have to make a journal for a friend, he loves music so this is going to make a great cover for him, loving your videos
Hi Gayle, Really loving the series about Journal covers. This video using tissue papers and the masking papers is a great way to get a fair number of Journal covers done in a short period of time. Just love that idea! Thanks for being such an inspiration and just love your commentary! 😂
Thanks so much for this series. I struggle with covers other than using books. This faux leather is especially good for my style. Thanks again. You’re the best.
Gayle these cover videos are so great. You have answered so many questions that I needed answered. It’s wonderful that we can go to one place and fine covers we want to make. The mix media is looking pretty good, I will have to admit, so you won that round. lol. That movie has so many curse words in it, I couldn’t watch it. The Lion King is more my style. The journal covers you made today are beautiful, I can’t wait to see you fill them up. ❤️
Thank you for doing this series ❣️ Every-time you say how much time is left..I check right along with you 🤣😂 I loved the readers digest one..looks like you spilled the coffee and tried to clean it up LOVE IT❣️❣️ To me doesn’t look like a stencil ❣️ You know what, I see 6 thumbs down😡 I do not like that on my Gayle videos😡 People move along!! You keep doing YOU Gayle, never change.. Bless your heart❣️
Aw, Linda, thank you for your indignation about the thumbs down on my behalf!! Lol! They don’t bother me. I try to concentrate on my beautiful friends, like you!! 😘❤️

Hi Gayle! I hope all turns out okay with the car. I had a long day and am very tired and am watching you while in bed. I’m doing a makers market in Sept so this would be great for some quick simple journals. Thanks for the ideas. Hugs.
