It's not with sports alone. They have a race for the Cavite-Batangas link. Also, SMC is picking some lessons with CCLEX as they plan to build a network connecting Allen and Matnog. Also, Metro Pacific wants a piece of pie to NMIA through NALEX, SALEX, and the Marilao interchange. SALEX is connected with Harbor Link and NALEX is connected through NLEX. So yes, it's a joint venture and Ramon Ang needs Metro Pacific to expand their infra network.

Quite a learning curve indeed. MVP became President of Meralco at a time when the company probably has more projects under its belt than it ever had. In addition to the ones already mentioned by MVP Meralco is also making consultations into the possibility of building modular nuclear power plants, which I think is more practical than resurrecting the BNPP.

They are both unassuming na tao and amazing in their own way. Wag tayo mabilis magjudge, ang tignan natin yung contributions ng tao, si sir MVP naginvest yan sa mga hospitals imagine kung gano kadaming taong natulungan because of that at hindi natin nakikita kung pano sya makisalamuha daily.

This was the reason Tim Cone still has no answer whether hw will accept the position of permanent Coach for Gilas. There are countless armchair (or beerhouse) basketball analysts, but nothing beats the views of those who are down in the trenches.

If I understand correctly, despite Metro Pacific having recently delisted, MVP - hopefully with the help of RSA - plans to form a new tollways unit which will include overseas tollways like in Vietnam, and then this new company would once again be listed in the PSE. Well, my opinion is that PSE had better make some changes to policies which are causing companies to delist in the first place.

San Miguel should takeover PLDT to improve telecommunications in the Philippines, specially in the provinces. The internet connections are horrible in a lot of areas, we have an explosions of devices but with horrible internet signal connectivity.

imo fiba was a business failure for mvp, the expectations didn't happen since most of the basketball superstars of the world didn't join the world cup. Moreso, tickets prices were too expensive for average filipinos to buy, MVP could have given filipinos the opportunity to watch all fiba games live on free tv. The "puso" was gone when Fiba in ph was done significantly on a business perspective.
Actually malaki ang kinita nila nung World Cup… di Lang sa tickets ang basehan ng revenue… yung sponsorship, viewership, broadcasting, marketing, etc… eh anlaki na ng kinita nila… sponsorship alone kinita nila eh $85 million dollars…
FIBA Manila-Japan-Indonesia is the biggest Basketball World Cup. For Basketball, 750,000 attendance is big already. Nakuha pa ng Pinas ang pinakamalaking attendance. Malaki kasi mga venue sa Pilipinas 15K ang seating capacity kaya kaya halatang hindi puno lalo na yung hindi masyadong maraming fans na mga teams. Average of 6,500 people ang nanuod sa mga games ng hindi sikat na teams kahit na mahal ang tickets. Pati sponsorship. TV coverage. Partida pa yan wala pa yung mga superstars. Si Luka lang sa Slovenia puro puno ang games ng Slovenia dito sa Pilipinas. Same with USA, Serbia pati syempre Gilas. Yung Germany at Serbia nasa 12K ang attendance (+media, staff) mahal pa yung ticket nun.
Malaki ang kinita nila. Siguro football fan ka kaya hinihila mo pababa yung basketball. Football fan din ako pero support ako sa basketball at sa ibang sports. Tanggapin mo na na basketball ang paborito ng mga Pilipino. Malaki ang FIBA World Cup. Ang laki ang kinita nila. Kahit yung Germany na football country, 35% ng airtime sa TV ng games ng Germany nanuod sa kanila. Nakatulong na puro mga European at teams ang nakaabot sa Semis at Finals. Kaya wag ka ng umiyak.
