- He entered the Philippine business arena dominated by the Fi-Chinese and Fil-Spanish and changed the landscape. He bought out losing companies and turned them around. He turned his back on a lucrative expat career and invested in Philippine businesses that support nation-building. He is The Game Changer - Manny V. Pangilinan.
Get to know him better on this episode of Usapang Bilyonaryo
MVP--The game changer! Thank you CNN for such insightful interview!
Thank you, Ces Drilon for asking the questions everyone wanted to ask themselves. MVP's candor over the tough questions speaks highly of your quality. I like how MVP admitted feeling envy with more successful people, but instead of bashing them or accusing them of this and that, he tried to better himself.
Which is something na hindi inuugali ng marami, karamihan pag may nakakaangat sisiraan para hindi malamangan instead of making yourself better para mas umangat.
Truly a nation-builder! Good interview
Hoping for RSA & JAZA interview
It's a no-brainer: MVP actually defied the very people who gave him his shot. He could have stayed in Hong Kong or Indonesia in the lap of luxury but he chose to live here, face countless aggravations to build up what is now a massive conglomerate whose members are consistent winners of international awards for business excellence.
Salute to MVP! A true patriot of the country.
I felt a bit touched when MVP said he loves TV5 simply because it was a 'problem child'. Having been a 'problem child myself I know that the love of the parent is strongest. Most business people would have thrown up their hands and sold it off and chalked it up to experience (the equivalent of being put up for adoption or outright abandonment.) That's why I love this interview. It's not MVP The Tycoon but MVP the Human Being.
Nakakarelate ako sa point na kung meron ka talagang gustong mangyari may way para makuha yun!
I'm happy that MVP has finally cleared the air regarding the Salim group. No wonder he rarely talks about it. The man was figuratively kicked out of the boardroom. It is a very emotional subject for him. But because Pinoys love their gossip they will invoke the name 'Salim' in the same breath that MVP is mentioned every time (especially those with a high-school level of business matters.). I guess they feel important revealing some Big Secret even though it is already on public record with no objection from the business world or the courts.
I thought the same thing. They act like they're about to reveal The Greatest Secret of the Universe to make it sound sinister or to cater to that obsolete xenophobia polemic.
Gilas Pilipinas is MVP
❤
I will be a Billionaire

The narrative that MVP is only a 'manager' for Salim's billions was a poor construction of the former president (PDutz). Obviously, he was high in fentanyl all throughout 🤣😅😂
I think he got that from the speculation-riddled book of a certain DDS columnist who was the J Jonah Jameson to MVP's Spiderman. I'm glad MVP finally addressed it.
I doubt he'd bother to read that columnist's (I know the one you mean) book. I think he got his information the same place he got his other 'intelligence'. From SNN: Sabi Nila Network.
Yan ba ang tatakbong President hahaha #sinungalingRaffy
