This is my all time favorite scotch. Really interesting to hear the detailed description!

get your hands on a bottle of Ancnoc 18 or Glendronach 18. Both of those blow Glenmorangie, Glenlivet and Glenfiddich out of the water!

I managed to pick up several bottles of Ancnoc 18 when they were about $120 and I would definitely put that one far and above the Glenmorangie 18. Bottled at 46% ABV, natural color and non chill filtered too. Absolute best bang for buck!

Haven't had the opportunity to try that one, I'll have to look for it!

@@MaltMondays I'll look forward to seeing your thoughts on it when you try it! It's a sleeper because so many people don't know about it but it's very bright and bursting with flavor.

Great vid! New subscriber...Love this Scotch! My brother, nephew and I enjoyed this very much while playing poker and later with some nice cigars.

I enjoy this Distillery, so easy to drink. Great review my friend.

I’m glad you like it! Glenmorangie can be a little bit hit or miss for me simply because their whiskies are so delicate. The Nectar D’or for instance is well crafted but so incredibly subtle I never find myself reaching for the bottle compared to say a Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2011 which is the same type of casks but so much more robust and intense and characterful. However, sometimes light and delicate is what I am in the mood for and Glenmorangie definitely shines when that’s the case!

Got it yesterday for 65 bucks at a sale in a supermarket. They have a fine drinks section no one buys from (Eastern European country, people don't really know about this stuff). It's really great. My first 18 yo.

Wow that's a steal! This is definitely a great pour at that price!

Sir is it worth to buy glenmorangie 18 for the price of $180 now 2023?

You got more out of it than I did, but I only had the neck pour... I'm guessing that it opens up quite a bit as the fill level drops.

Its definitely not as complex as some $100+ whiskies I’ve had, and for me, ‘light and delicate’ whiskies like this are always much more challenging.

I got this one today because it was on sale for 80 dollars. Had to buy it at that price for an 18Y old scotch.

Review only lasts 12 minutes not 18 years. 3/5.

Do they still add color to the 18 year old? I had heard it is not the original color of the whisky. That has kept me from spending the money on it.

They don't label it as natural color anywhere so I have to assume that they do add coloring. That being said, it is pretty light in color, so I don't think they are adding much.
